Image deleted[edit]

I have deleted the image that was at Image:Pat oshane.jpg, as according to the copyright information on the website it comes from, the image is only available under a non commerical license. JH Pic[edit]

Wikipedia image policy requires that free-use images always be used instead of fair-use images (such as the pictures you continue to insert). Please revert back. michael ^talk 11:27, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It is free use for non-commercial operations. Look ill get permission from the Government.

Wikipedia image policy prohibits images being used under a non-commercial licence. Even with permission from the government it will still not be allowed. Ohh, so only AMERICAN GOVERNMENT stuff can be used? You might as well delete ALL the images from the John Howard website because most of them are there from the Parliamentry Library, used WITH permission. I consider you highly bias. The issue is that the American image is in the Public domain rather than a "official" possibly fair use image. Public Domain images trump fair use.Jpe|ob 11:41, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It is just really pathetic that a FAIR USE image of an AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT MINISTER from the AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT cannot be used. Now, I am no lawyer (even though I have done a minor in law) but there is no issue here. If Wikipedia was a CORPORATE entity there would be an issue.Mattrix18 11:44, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The American Government freely licences their images (and hence, they can be used on Wikipedia), the Australian Government does not. Of the three non-introduction images on Howard's page, two are from US Government sources, and the other lacks any copyright detail (and should therefore be deleted soon). Well don't. I couldn't care less whether you replied to me or not. You have proven yourself bias. Just wait until I get a better image of the Prime Minister from the U.S. Government. I wonder how long until you edit it. All I said was practice what you preach. I am not an administrator and cannot delete images, but you are free to tag images for deletion if you believe they are not under appropriate copyright. I have no objection to a better free-use image being found and used in the article. michael ^talk 11:56, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You're targeting my image though? I have provided the proper copyright information. Now, if you wern't bias, you would go and do the same to the other images on that page. But you are bias.
