Volunteers Walked Out[edit]

Hi, owe you a quick explanation as to why the contentious content was removed from the The Biggest Little Railway in the World in the world article. In effect I realised the content I had added could by argued to breach WP:BIO. As such it warrants immediate removal. Strictly it can be reported to WP:BLPN, and if you choose to do that I will support you.

While removed from the article I've not removed from the talk page as it is probably usefully discussed there.

Without re-reading it carefully suspect the newspaper article used a figure of speech (I'm going on a helix spiral to get the right one) to imply of some form to say 'walk out' to convey the picture you has insurrected and and exited a safety meeting which for some engineers would have been at the least bad practice and possibly could have had repercussions. However the newspaper article may have simply said that you walked out (rather than say ran out) and an intermission had been rightfully and properly initiated.

I expect this content can reappear following some careful examination of the article wording and some judicious wording.

I am minded towards a Will quote and CD citation but that is probably unnecessary, Hadrian singing the LP would probably be sufficient. What I MUST DO is to read that article VERY carefully. Tomorrow morning in the cold light of day.

The Galactic President Superstar McAwesomeVille may also wish add an opinion to help to resolve the issue!

I have never met ... anyone quite like me ... in my life.

Couple of apologies: 1: I somehow messed up the signing of the previous message. 2: I was kind of hoping User:Abhinav might have responded but I know he is busy. 3: On review I feel It is very much time I ensure someone independent of The Biggest Little Railway in the World article is monitoring the article and your user talk page. If this sounds cold it isn't meant to be ... The issue is I'm hoping to continue development that article and I'd like to ensure independence and objectiveness and neutrality while I do that. I will visit the Tearoom to see if some will give advice/suggestion.

OK .. maybe tearoom isn't brightest suggestion. I'll mull awhile on that.Djm-leighpark (talk) 12:28, 14 February 2018 (UTC) Just to let you know I have a placed a 'help me' request on my own user page. Thanks.Djm-leighpark (talk) 14:26, 14 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Just to let you know I got the following response:

@Djm-leighpark:, mentorship doesn't work that way. Voluntary mentorship has to be requested by the potential mentee and involuntary mentorship is only imposed as a result of dispute resolution processes. Involuntary mentorship, by the by, almost never works. You may suggest to Mattaf1990 that they seek mentorship themselves at the Adopt-a-user page, but that's about it. I hope this helps. ... So maybe I asked the wrong question.

I think My understanding on this area is improving. My best understanding is I should ask you to checkout WP:DISCLOSE and wheher you feel it is appropriate to use Template:Connected contributor or Template:UserboxCOI. You should seek help from someone other than me if you determine to use them. Apologies if I am going round the houses trying to get the right way to do things. In all events the very best wishes. Thankyou. Djm-leighpark (talk) 16:40, 14 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
