Discussion[edit]

I'm posting a talk page discussion starter here. Matt Campbell, what is the purpose of the draft? Is it so you could work on a live equivalent? @Elizium23: as well. It looks like the main reason is that you're creating your own versions of articles since your edits were rejected at the live versions, which would be against policy here since userspace is meant to be used for the improvement of Wikipedia rather than hosting an alternate version. ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 05:50, 9 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah Because if i include something in the real version then it gets removed and I don't agree with it. Matt Campbell (talk) 05:53, 9 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This is a referendum on the question of all his year-related articles, since he is apparently hosting 21 in total. Footnote: he does not appear to have furnished any attribution necessary for WP:Copying within Wikipedia. Elizium23 (talk) 05:55, 9 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well what do you want me to do with them? Matt Campbell (talk) 05:56, 9 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
To be honest not all of it was copied. Matt Campbell (talk) 06:00, 9 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It seems worth mentioning that User:Matt Campbell/sandbox and its history is riddled with copied Wikipedia content. Elizium23 (talk) 06:02, 9 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well that's not true at all. Because some of it was not even copied, I just typed it in myself. Matt Campbell (talk) 06:05, 9 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Also our Sandbox page's are only pages that we can edit. Matt Campbell (talk) 06:06, 9 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Wait i take that back, I mean't to say earlier was that I only created 6 of those hidden sections of the sandbox page. Matt Campbell (talk) 06:14, 9 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Matt Campbell, please place {{db-u1}} to delete your pages properly. The history still remains. Elizium23 (talk) 00:50, 10 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I will do it as soon as I am able to, thanks. Matt Campbell (talk) 04:34, 10 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Graeme Bartlett, ReaderofthePack has determined that these articles are against policy, so I am curious why action has been declined after all, when Matt has agreed to request deletion for all of them and has blanked the (copyvio-laden) pages already. Elizium23 (talk) 01:46, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well saying that the db-u1 tag will be applied later is not the same as requesting deletion now. The attribution problem can be simply fixed by something like "contains material copied from the article 2020" or whatever. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 01:52, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Graeme Bartlett, look, WP:FAKEARTICLE specifically prohibits him hosting these fake articles in his own space when he has no intention of transferring them into mainspace, and I simply couldn't find a {{db}} that described that violation. Elizium23 (talk) 02:19, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I never agreed to anything. Matt Campbell (talk) 04:57, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
And if I'm being honest i only deleted the other ones because they weren't really that important. Matt Campbell (talk) 05:00, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
