Great work, I forked some of the scorecards into Tasmania in the 2009–10 domestic Sheffield Shield cricket season. Aaroncrick (talk) Review me! 05:18, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I just added some results, the fixtures were already setup. I did get the Ford Ranger page going and will try to add the 20-20 fixture soon, if you plan to setup any other pages for the Tigers. Matt5AU (talk) 06:28, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your WP:LINK edit[edit]

Hi Matt. Normally I'd welcome such an edit, but the text was agreed to in a hotly contested set of RfCs last year, in parallel with a dreadful ArbCom case. I think "relevant" is a good deal weaker than "germane" and changes the meaning significantly. No problem with "content/s", though. I reverted for the time being. Thanks. Tony (talk) 07:12, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. I wish you well in your editing. Please drop by if you have any queries. Tony (talk) 11:55, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Matt, no one minds your participation at WP:LINK at all. If you have the time, you may wish to visit Build your linking skills, a tutorial I wrote with the help of critical input from a few other editors. It is oriented towards my personal view that wikilinking needs to be applied carefully, and rationed, to be optimised. CKatz probably agrees with the concept of the page, although may take issue with a few details. Tony (talk) 06:25, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Anzac Day Clash[edit]

Thanks. You're correct about the subpages but i will take some time :) Aaroncrick TALK 05:35, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ICC World Twenty20[edit]

Hi, thanks for informing me about my mistake. I'm sorry I reverted your changes without prior knowledge. I am relatively new to Wikipedia and I'll try not to do something like this in the future. Thanks!Sahitana (talk) 03:52, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Correct Editing Procedure[edit]

{{helpme}} I've been working on this article recently and have had problems with some new and IP editors making changes that I consider to be incorrect. I have posted an explanation on the talk page, but it is either not clear enough or they are not reading it. For the new editors (with usernames) I have added welcome messages and then explained my point of view, for one editor this worked well and they reverted their own edits. My questions are as follows:

  • By fixing these edits back to the correct version, am I edit warring?
  • If I use revert to fix these more than 3 times in 24 hours, do I risk breaking the 3RR?
  • Is this level of nuisance (not deliberate vandalism) enough to request semi-protection?

I am aware that as the edits generally relate to a fixture that will be formally released in a few days, the problem will solve itself. But I would like the wikipedia page to display the correct information in the meantime. Thanks for your time in responding to these queries. Matt, what's your definition of "correct"? Does it appear in third party reliable sources? The only excuse for breaking 3RR on an article like is actual vandalism, and RFPP will be the same. Beware of WP:OWN :-) (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 11:30, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your response. Looking back at my contributions, I do see to have obsessed over this page over the last couple of days, so warning on WP:OWN is fair enough. Will try to have a bit of a break and work on other pages. I believe I did have a reliable source, but I should probably be careful when using the word "correct" as it can imply a bit of a "i'm right, you wrong" type response. Thanks for protecting the page, I think it will be easier to manage now, and there appear to be a few other editors maintaining it without need for much input from me. Cheers Matt5AU (talk) 23:42, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
