Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Aside from the fact that this seems like a complete waste of time for both of us, do you really think "fornicate" makes sense here? Try reading it, it is completely out of place with the tone of the article. When was the last time you asked your wife/girlfriend "would you like to fornicate"?   • Bobolus is not the author of the text. I am. This text was a commissioned translation that the client (presumably by Bobolus on behalf of the subject of the article) has indicated that does not wish to pay for on the basis of his or her belief that the final sentence "He is married with five children" suggested that the subject is married to five children.   • I will not seek to give you any advice on copyright violations, as I have limited knowledge in the area. As far as I am concerned and aware, there are no official copyright issues concerning the article (no official copyright claim has been logged) and so any text which is not written in correct English should be changed. I will change the last sentence to something which hopefully should satisfy everyone. If you still have legal concerns then I will attempt to find an administrator who has knowledge in the area.   • It would appear that Secret rivals (band) was deleted because it did not meet the notability guidlines for Wikipedia. In order for a band to have a Wikipedia page, it must meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines. You can read these here. Mato (talk) 15:42, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Tom, I saw your request to block this IP. I have several concerns:

  1. Nobody's warned him yet.
  2. Nobody's asked him what he's doing.
  3. Are you sure he's doing the wrong thing? I'll note that he's also adding some categories to other people's biographies.
  4. Nobody seems to be reverting all these edits. That could just be due to collective inattention but it's interesting nevertheless that, so far, nobody seems troubled. Also, what's the point of blocking someone for vandalism if it's not going to get repaired.

Skim Guide to administrator intervention against vandalism when you get the chance. I'm not a stickler for requiring every report follow every last requirement in that guideline when it's obvious that someone is deliberately damaging our articles. Nevertheless, I do worry about blocking someone who may be trying to do so something useful.

Tom, thanks for watching over our articles and spotting this situation. I suggest you contact this person and if necessary, revert his edits. If he won't communicate and if he persists, then maybe we need to look at stronger measures.

  • You can see exactly what I reverted by looking here. I removed two sections: "Early life" and "Concept of mother". I removed this because there were no sources cited at all. To correctly cite sources you should, as you say, use <ref></ref> tags. Mato (talk) 18:34, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
  • With regards to adding pictures, you firstly need to upload a picture using WP:UPLOAD. You should ensure you are not violating any copyright issues by doing so. Images can then be added using a tag like this: [[File:Example.jpg]]. Mato (talk) 18:38, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

Well, I have cited the Enigma Magazine right down in the page, but I am not sure how to cite it right up. I mean, how can I cite, like, million times from one source. I have posted my reference in External links. Would you help me fixing that?

  • Ok, so I can see you have referenced Enigma Magazine once by typing <ref>enigma-mag, p. 229.</ref>. If you wanted to repeat this reference in several places in the article, and wanted to avoid typing the whole thing out again, then you can change the opening tag of the first use of the reference from <ref> to <ref name=Enigma>. Once you have done this, you can than repeat the reference at any point in the article simply by typing <ref name=Enigma/>. Notice the backslash (/) and the fact that you do not need a closing tag.   • You have been blocked from Wikimedia Commons (not Wikipedia). You can see the comment from the blocking admin on your Commons talk page. You are suspected of having a second account on Wikimedia Commons (commons:User:Capolinho).   • I have notified the admin and you must wait for him to reply. You cannot upload that image as it contradicts Wikipedia's policy. This page shows you a list of the types of files on Flickr you are allowed to upload, with small logos to help.   • Sorry my mistake, wrong link. You cannot upload pictures from websites where the copyright status is not presented (ie. When I made this Article, I didn't know that it was wrong name. Today I met him and took an interview. I found his name "Ekram Ahmed Lenin" instead of "Ekram Ahmed Lelin".   • I understand what you are saying, but the community here at Wikipedia are currently considering deleting your article all together, because the person in the article doesn't appear to be notable enough for a Wikipedia article. If the community here decides that the person IS notable enough for a Wikipedia article, you will be able to change the name. If they don't, the article will be deleted. Can you please retrieve this page of "Ekram Ahmed Lenin" from deletion ? I am really getting less hope and lost my faith to Wikipedia because peoples here work as administrator who delete the articles without justify it. The writer ""Ekram Ahmed Lenin"" has written seven books in Bangladesh and please see the cover page of one book http://covers.openlibrary.org/b/id/6670577-L.jpg I am trying to include his all books in Wikipedia. Wikipedia team may ask me for resources for verification or give me scope to bring those proof they required. I should not write or contribute anything from today either it is not resolved.   • When the page was tagged for deletion, you were given a chance to contest this and give reasoning as to why the subject of the article was notable. The deletion was discussed at WP:AFD/Ekram_Ahmed_Lelin and it was deleted because he was deemed non-notable.
You can take your appeal to WP:DELREV but I think it is unlikely to fail for three reasons:
  • Multiple editors have tried to ascertain notability with no success whatsoever, including using Bengali translations
  • You removed the tag from the page, which specifically said 'do not remove'
  • You attempted to recreate the article once it was deleted.
I sympathise with your frustration but feel you will be unable to get there - it would seem by general consensus that the subject simply is non-notable. Mato (talk) 00:31, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
