Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Eurythmics discography may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. Tears For Fears[edit]

Here's what I'm not getting here: Why did I get the accusation of vandalism when I removed the information on a new album (Which was not mentioned in the source provided), but the IP address added it without it being questioned - again, without it being sourced and not being mentioned in the source provided? Am I missing something? I was told by many editors here that it's not customary to mention anything about an artist's new album unless they provide a title and release date. Shallowharold (talk) 10:56, 16 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You are vandalising the article because you are removing a detail that is both relevant and sourced. The first two times you removed it, you claimed it was because it wasn't in the source included when it actually is, and then the third time you simply removed it without comment or reason. It constitutes vandalism. Obviously we avoid idle speculation about new albums but this comes from the horse's mouth, so to speak. Regardless of whether it has a title yet, the band themselves announced that the new album will be completed by the time of the live dates in the summer. It's relevant news for an article about Tears For Fears because they haven't released an album for 12 years and now they've stated that it will be completed before July. The detail is indeed in the source, which is the Bath Chronicle (the local paper of where the band come from), but you have to scroll halfway down the page to get to it. I've noticed that the page is a little slow to load because it's flash-heavy, so perhaps your browser isn't loading it completely. However, the article starts off with a couple of paragraphs about the band playing the festival in July and the usual details about when they were formed, etc. Then there is a video box with "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" in, followed by a couple of ad boxes and then the article continues with a couple more lengthier paragraphs. One of those states "Tears for Fears commented on their first UK festival appearance in 26 years: "We are so looking forward to playing our first UK festival since our last one in 1990 at Knebworth. I know we're not the most prolific artists but we believe in quality over quantity. We're looking forward to performing new & old songs as we will have finished our new album before we perform. The fact that it's in the West Country where we began our journey makes it all the more gratifying. We look forward to seeing you at Camp Bestival." Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:15, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

About the "Tears For Fears - The Seeds of Love" companion book which is referenced in the Seeds of Love Wikipedia article...[edit]

Hi

I'm a new Wikipedia user here, so I don't exactly know how to ask questions, but since there is a great number of informations surrounding the long and troubled recording of Seeds of Love that come from this companion book (as said in the sources section), and that, as you have written, there are rare promotional photographs in it, I wander if you could show some of them in the article. This book is very hard to find online and nobody shared anything about it, except you who shared these informations which are actually very precious since I can't find them anywhere else online.

If it's not relevant, I'll just delete what I wrote, but I wanted to ask this.

Thank you for reading this.

Hi,

The book doesn't have much in the way of photos from the making of the album iself, just photos from around that time. There are some stills from the making of the Advice For The Young At Heart video shoot, and some alternative shots of the artwork used for the single covers for the first three singles. The rest of them are the standard press photos than the record company released at the time (though there is the original black & white photo of Oleta Adamas that was later colorised and used for her Circle Of One album cover). There may be copyright restrictions on us using them in the wiki article as they are probably not "free use" and won't necessarily illustrate the article any more than it is now. I do think the article could use some more photos though so we could probably dig up something from somewhere. MassassiUK (talk) 16:56, 9 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
