February 2014[edit]

Stop icon Your addition to Rex Hospital has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text, or images borrowed from other websites, or printed material without a verifiable license; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. In this edit you added content copyed directly from http://www.rexhealth.com/awards which is protected by copyright. This is not acceptable on Wikipedia. Text must be rewritten and supported by citations to reliable sources. DES (talk) 16:38, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Even if rewritten, a long list of awards is not really appropriate, some of these are surely less important. Only the most important should be listed. The intro paragraph "Rex Healthcare is proud of..." is pure promotion and will never be acceptable in any form. Each award that is listed should be supported by a citation to an independent source that reports on the award. DES (talk) 16:41, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of Interest[edit]

I assume that you are the same person who recently edited as Rexhealth, and that you are an employee or contractor of the Hospital. If so, please read our conflict of Interest guideline before editing further. Assuming that this is true, you should, except for very clear correction of factual errors in the article, confine your edits about Rex Hospital to the talk page Talk:Rex Hospital and provide sources and suggest additions and changes, using {{Request edit}} to ask someone else to review and implement them, clearly disclosing your affiliation with the subject. DES (talk) 16:46, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Rex Hospital, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Abce2 (talk) 16:48, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at Rex Hospital, you may be blocked from editing. Abce2 (talk) 16:52, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I am. I was editing by copy/paste from our current site content. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mary8689 (talkcontribs) 12:00, 4 February 2014‎
Please in future suggest changes on Talk:Rex Hospital, and then add {{Request edit}} to ask someone to review and implement such changes. Please provide sources for suggested changes, if possible independent reliable sources ("independent" meaning not the hospital's website or press releases or the like, in general published by a 3rd party, reliable meaning not blogs or online fora or the like). Either reword so that suggested changes are not direct quotes or close paraphrases of published content (including the Hospital's web page) or indicate that suggestions are close copies ans will need to be reworked before being added to the article. When people follow these practices it helps in avoiding bias and keeping articles in compliance with our neutrality policy. Thank you. If you have any questions, feel free to ask at the help desk or on my talk page, or here and add {{help me}} to request attention.. DES (talk) 17:31, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I am going to update the 2013 stats for the page above. Do I just update by clicking on the edit tab to the right of the stats section and save the page or do I need to cite sources and if so how do I cite this as it is from our internal stats?Mary8689 (talk) 14:31, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It would be much better if some source or sources were cited. Have your internal stats been published, even on the hospital's web site? if so, it could be cited to that using {{cite web}}

Image question[edit]

How do I save over an existing logo file w/the same name (revised logo)?!!!. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.136.13.62 (talkcontribs) 08:57, 6 February 2014‎

The new image needs to be uploaded, preferably at the same name as the existing image. This is done using the Wikipedia:File Upload Wizard. However in order to do this an account needs to be WP:AUTOCONFIRMED. User:Mary8689 has enough edits, but is not yet old enough. So, you can either 1) place a request at files for upload, 2) place a URL where the current logo can be found here and ask for assistance, or 3) wait another 2 days to be autoconfirmed.
