Fair use rationale for Image:Downpourpictures.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Downpourpictures.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2007, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 14:40, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Downpourpictures.gif)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Downpourpictures.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 20:55, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

May 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Metal Gear has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \byoutube\.com (links: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_nkuxge6b4, http://www.youtube.com/index?ytsession=b35RUn8zWEtPcPZBIxaocZk_3dai034Esy8LTmOxOA6KfSyYbsziG4oxmIHj8raBaOOY7QsLgo27acxo_nYbnJ-h8LBaYAa4BV9aR45omOd3qhtjkKOlC96IzB5UoSSvqZPcxPmQzcluANmxhPsrc4kWbpGZWNh-F9a2K6r8-6RRk-9ZS6vW2H16rYCaTPLLqdr0IVL3xS57JAiapTYfMbhAuzHbyYOS4YyWuRYdQgWLWL-zkrynxinrtZ-DQU7yYCKllcs-hQTAOXxQ_vwgyxd431eE3ko09N5XgJtFHo9TFxiEPpFAmeCNLwCbrn5yaOqBf94yyV2aIq3MLrw3frkOg646a5mn_kGCP3D24786z4U6qKsf7ETOoTy_BtoTQR4zvsmrQNS_7c7Zv6vwCtsY8OPNZQoy38ZwaXE9akmsTBKnH_Z_sQU725d-oglu (redirect from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_nkuxge6b4), http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_nkuxge6b4, http://www.youtube.com/index?ytsession=-gM5XW9y4I_w8UoTV5HRC06CBMHghcwcA8qewa8V-SP9NlK8x-ZlY_mhcsjkWN35BMxzj1OvbULLwVVcdVs6EVzhiUu8nHeV7BFGr2MNOm79IrdTc3tnLbAxL30RMqiXbLn927WUQb3xCAkqBvBTJv1KsZdWk8DZPZ-I04s-PO8uozsKzUlnMUBxubSA-HrzdVEET_oEAalbqx63Be-9mjnZSDhnyv6CciuMR4YQEu48nYiDLxaqV1LlyVhXEim2UCtRMh7gpw40AKfhZxyayI6vAEwEMhbXFbWYid3ZFewXX7T6d8uIpKje-v7GPBFH-HenV_W5YA2DaAiONtz9L5zMQAD_88MLQ7qsA25KdADGgJrnoJA_sME_TSx_JH2YQ3FbtG-fOouS837r8O92kAOJZ15AMKilLOeHDg_80HgplxD7gKQSPchabv3jwrzF (redirect from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_nkuxge6b4)). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. Video links are also strongly deprecated by our guidelines for external links, partly because they're useless to people with slow internet connections.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. 2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

You're being discussed at the COI Noticeboard[edit]

Hello Mario1286. You are welcome to join the discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard#Metal Gear fan-film. Editors there have argued that you are adding mentions of a fan-film with which you are personally associated. Usually, we expect to see reliable published sources that have commented on the thing to show that it is important enough to deserve mention in an article.
