Beautiful Tamar[edit]

To respond to your question on my talk page, I don't believe there is much that can be done for an article regarding the subject you are interested in, as it has been written and then deleted now on two occassions. If you can cite reliable sources that assert the significance of the subject, you should refer to WP:Deletion Review. PT (s-s-s-s) 16:59, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think there is a process to examine old material? I can't find it though. You might want to ask an admin who knows such things? PT (s-s-s-s) 18:21, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, anybody able to help out Marina T.? PT (s-s-s-s) 21:08, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not exactly sure what the question is, but a copy of the article already exists at User:Marina T./Beautiful Tamar.--Commander Keane 21:14, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Itamar Ben Canaan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be a biographical account about a person, group of people, or band, but it does not indicate how or why he/she/they is/are notable. If you can indicate why Itamar Ben Canaan is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:Itamar Ben Canaan. Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources to ensure that your article will be verifiable. Since this is English Wikipedia, I suggest that your citations be from English sources, which would help with verification. — ERcheck (talk) 23:02, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please cite[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as 1 Night in Paris, but we regretfully cannot accept original research. Please find and add a reliable citation to your recent edit so we can verify your work. Uncited information may be removed at any time. Thanks for your efforts, and happy editing! Also, please note that a claim that 1 Night in Paris is the longest home-video ever made is simply nonsense. --Yamla 15:01, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Neo menu2.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Neo menu2.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 14:33, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

If a photo is under GFDL, and the photographer is not notable, the name of the photographer should not appear in the article, just on the image page. Also, there is no reason to change JPEGs to PNGs. The only issue of this sort is with GIFs. In general, JPEGs handle photographs better than PNGs. - Jmabel | Talk 04:06, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, Thanks Marina T. 12:42, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If this image is a screenshot from the makers of the film, then it is copyrighted by the film--it cannot be released under GFDL. A fair use claim is possible for the article on the movie, but I don't think we can use it for Roman Polanski. Chick Bowen 23:14, 20 November 2006 (UTC) I see, I believe it is possible then to use it only for The Tenant Marina T. 23:58, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image:UriCynthia.jpg listed for deletion[edit]

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:UriCynthia.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. J Di talk 15:20, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked[edit]

You have been blocked. You have continued to violate Wikipedia's image copyright and fair-use policies for a considerable period of time. This is unacceptable. You are deliberately putting Wikipedia at risk for a lawsuit. Please refrain from uploading any more images until you have gone back and fixed all the images you have already uploaded. Further violations will result in a longer block or possibly a ban from editing. --Yamla 15:34, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Stolen kisses cap traffuat.jpg[edit]

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Stolen kisses cap traffuat.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box.

Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Image copyright problem with Image:Falsari fforfake Elmyr-de-Hory.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Falsari fforfake Elmyr-de-Hory.jpg. However, Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation.

Unspecified source for Image:Libsker_in_pronto.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Libsker_in_pronto.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. Regarding edits made to Terry Poison[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Marina T.! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule \bvids\.myspace\.com\b, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links policy for more information. If the link was to an image, please read Wikipedia's image tutorial on how to use a more appropriate method to insert the image into an article. If your link was intended to promote a site you own, are affiliated with, or will make money from inclusion in Wikipedia, please note that inserting spam into Wikipedia is against policy. AfD nomination of Gad (Fast Food)[edit]

An editor has nominated Gad (Fast Food), an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gad (Fast Food) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. Israel Blogosphere[edit]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Israel Blogosphere, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Shuki 00:00, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Israel Blogosphere, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. —C.Fred (talk) 02:04, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:1578071984.01.LZZZZZZZ.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:1578071984.01.LZZZZZZZ.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 10:27, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Commercial use of Image:Efrat abramov.jpg[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Efrat abramov.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Efrat abramov.jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, this is in fact not the case[5][6]. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial. See our non-free content guidelines for more more information.

If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Grobman3 2.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 20:22, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Youssef_Chahine_01.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Youssef_Chahine_01.jpg.

If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:45, 20 August 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — pd_THOR | =/\= | 20:45, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Stephanie Kaye degrassi junior high s01 e07.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use.

Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ejfetters 05:27, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Maarvon_back_normal.jpg[edit]

I have tagged Image:Maarvon_back_normal.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Uploading Images[edit]

Do you understand the meaning of "free image"? You can only say that an image is free if you created it yourself or if you can show where did you take it. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 13:33, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

i took it from here [7] they say its free to use. Marina T. (talk) 13:34, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's an essential photo for the article, the previous photo did not relay the magnitude of the structure. Marina T. (talk) 13:36, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Essential, OK, but Wikipedia may only have free images. I couldn't find on that site where do they say that the image is free. You cannot just say that an image is GFDL. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 13:37, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The image is not free. I deleted it according to Criteria for speedy deletion. Please do not upload non-free images to Wikipedia. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 13:45, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK. i was sure i saw it's free licenced - if not its my mistake. Marina T. (talk)

By default everything on the web is non-free. You can define an image as free or GFDL only if you created it yourself or if you received an explicit permission for this. Please be very careful about this. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 14:04, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ok i'll be more meticulous about it Marina T. (talk) 14:40, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:423966166 187750 michal-heiman.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

Permission to use an image in Wikipedia[edit]

There's no such thing as a "permission to use an image in Wikipedia". An image in Wikipedia must be either public domain or licensed under a Free license, such as GFDL or CC-BY-SA. An image cannot be limited to Wikipedia. Once an image is used on Wikipedia, it can be used anywhere, and it can modified and republished by any without any limit.

So, when you write that authors gave you a permission to publish the image on Wikipedia, were they aware that it will be published under this terms and not limited to Wikipedia? --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 20:21, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes they are, under full terms. and they are also free-licensed as samples Marina T. (talk) 00:32, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
So can you please specify that on the images that you uploaded? "Permission to use an image in Wikipedia" makes no sense. Either it is GFDL or it is not.
What do you mean by "free-licensed as samples"? --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 05:38, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Samples themselves are free licenced, author gave permission = I made it sure with him\her that they are indeed free licenced and that he\she as the creator of them have the certificate of them being free licenced as uploaded. Marina T. (talk) 06:34, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked[edit]

You have been blocked indefinitely due to your chronic violations of WP:IUP. For example, you have uploaded Image:Bracha Lichtenberg Ettinger - 2007 - berlin.jpg but have provided no evidence that this image was licensed under the GFDL. For very many other images (for example, Image:Eurydice9.JPG), you have also claimed that it was released under the GFDL but have stated only that the creator has "licenced this sample as free and gave explicit permission to use this sample in wikipedia". This does not confer that license to the image and images licensed only for use on the Wikipedia are inappropriate. You will remain blocked until you can convince an administrator that you understand image copyright and licensing, along with our policy for image use, WP:IUP. You can do so using the {{unblock|Your reason here}} template. --Yamla (talk) 18:50, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Israelis on Syrian soil, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. Thanks for uploading Image:Wassup-Rockers.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Thanks for uploading Image:Firma IPhone Cover Jan2007.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Thanks for uploading Image:Bucuresti Mall photo by Nimrod Kamer 01.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. Image permission problem with Image:198951354 e39098e4e9.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:198951354 e39098e4e9.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Soundvisions1 (talk) 12:31, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Cannonball film.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Cannonball film.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. The article Yamin Messika has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable filmmaker; found no sources to indicate he passes WP:BIO

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Notification of automated file description generation[edit]

Your upload of File:Bucuresti Mall photo by Nimrod Kamer 02.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Replaceable fair use File:Vaan Nguyen.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Vaan Nguyen.JPG. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:22, 9 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
