Cape Leeuwin Wattle

Noted a red link on one of your recents - bloody great story there von Mueller spreading something which becomes a weed (!) - I might try to fix it up a bit more for a DYK today - but scuse the intrusion - the Australian project appears to not have inter-ecological region weeds articles or categories - we have eastern states species as damned annoying weeds here and the cape leeuwin wattle vice versa over east - will have to tackle my biota savvy friends on this as the current categoris do not appear to have adequate provision to identify as such. Cape Leeuwin was one of my favourite locations of my youth - when I was able to get there SatuSuro 03:01, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

It seems to make sense (apart from some victorian articles that are next to it and dont mention it all :) and seems to be filling ok so far - the ferry articles quality is atrocious and I have reintroduced a link to the triangle article after reading loneys very unhelpful list book while on a ferry on low swell a few weeks back - the idea of a 20m swell bothers me but probably explains most of the triangle rubbish very easily. Light-mantled Albatross

Hey thanks for the Copy edit on that section, I do realize that I do not have the best writing skills. I do however have two points I would bring up. First, I feel that the point of seawater a worthy point to make and I will re-add that in, if you want to re-look at it. Second, I have used that same paragraph sometimes with variations on all of the Albatross family. The seawater thing is largely covered by the term 'osmatic balance', but I guess that that is a bit technical and your phrasing was more user-friendly. What makes this] a reliable source? It's bound to be queried if this article goes to FA since it gives no primary sources, and it's not clear to me who is producing it, so it doesn't have the built-in credibility of a BTO or RSPB page. It read as a mix of OR and stuff lifted from Wikipedia. I think we should take out this link and the attacks on barley crops unless you know of a proper source for that information (Madge has this behaviour for Red-billed, but doesn't state it for Alpine. jimfbleak (talk) 06:39, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

Isabelline

Hi, just an FYI that I tweaked the Isabelline article a little to reflect the way the term is used within the horse world and how it works genetically in horses. It's basically an obscure word for us, seen more in Europe and in non-English languages than in English, but basically describes a light palomino or cremello. But it is not in any way a form of albino or leucism in horses. In fact, cremello breeders pretty much go through the roof and throw fits at the very thought, as some forms of "albino" are lethal in horses, but cream dilution is not. Hi Montanabw - thanks for the info. I had considered doing a separate article for 'Isabellinism', but don't have sufficient info or sources so just added a small section to 'Isabelline' which is obviously an article on colour rather than genetics. Anyway, 'isabellinism' is virtually synonymous with leucism.

Re the question of verification for Old Malvernians: as far as James Rousseau is concerned, the is online an article that appeared in the UK's Independent newspaper in 1999 reporting on how Rousseau became a top international model while he was still at the school. Biographies

I think that the most commonly used name of a person is used for the page name. So if Ian Mason is known by this name then his page would be "Ian Mason (ornithologist)" rather than Ian J. Mason, if disambiguation is needed. Similarly, I do not think that the former page "Ian Mason" should have been moved to "Ian Robert Mason", but if disambig is needed then it could be moved to "Ian Mason (cricketer)". Hi Snowman. I think Ian J. Mason is probably the best title for his page at the moment as that is how his name appears where I have come across it, mainly as the coauthor of various books. Sure you could make it Ian Mason (ornithologist), or (taxonomist) or (writer) or (collection manager), but simply Ian J. Mason reflects how the name is generally met with. Malvern College

Hi Maias/Archive 3! The Old Malvernians/alumnae section that you contributed to in Malvern College finally got so long that it had to be split off into a separate list page. In doing so, it's been found that for many of those noble people there is no actual proof that they ever went to the school. However, they probably did, and the entries were made in good faith. Nevertheless, the rules require everything in the encyclopedia to be verifiably sourced. It would be great therefore, if you could take a look at the list and help out if you can with providing some references.
