De facto deletion

Just created a missing article and I have found that someone created a good stub that you (de facto) deleted by removing it to draft space. This did not improve the project or inspire an editor IMO. The article is now returned to main space and I will apologise to him. People who are chosen for top awards are notable and "not ready for main space" is subjective and much more vague and unencyclopedic than the article. I didn't see a valid reason mentioned, sorry if I missed it. Victuallers (talk) 11:53, 14 August 2023 (UTC)
