Boateng's co-ownership

Hi Luxic, how are you?. Do you remember that Kevin Prince Boateng was transfered from Genoa C.F.C. to A.C. Milan in loan, but later it changed into a co-wonership deal? Well, it is just that the official note from AC Milan was deleted in the official page, so there is no official information that confirm it. And some guy are asking me about the veracity of that information. Since I don't rember the conditions, i was wondering I you could search an official note, or if you at least remember the conditions for the deal... Thanks! Bazoc (Talk) 19:54 15 January 2010 (UTC)

Hi there, Bazoc! It's been so long since we last talked! I too was really upset when Milan launched their website and lots of old links became dead. Hopefully, we'll be able to recover them at the Web Archive in one year's time or so. As for Boateng, however, the official site of the Serie A provides a transfers list, in which Boateng's deal is listed as a partecipazione (i.e. a co-ownership). Excessive Vandalism

Hello Luxic, i don't know if you can help me out about vandalism but i'm sure that you can forward this to the people who can do. well... I do have some complains about Anorthosis Famagusta FC's wiki, every some hours few ips vandalize the content of it and its more than 25 times that ive recovered it. The main problem is this one User_talk:62.228.76.199 who constantly vandalizes there as you can see [[1]]. This page is full of his inaccurate and fake entries. I hope that you can do something. What i think is seems TMW is the only source i found, with unknown verifiability. For the official transfer list, the "mother" club section is not reliable, as Montelongo shown Milan, and sub-loan existed in Montelongo's case. Matthew_hk tc 21:55, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi, Matthew! TMW credited Sky Sport (Italy). It's a television channel, so there's no written source. However, let me explain the situation about Nagatomo and Montelongo. First of all, sub-loans do not exist. Both FIFA and FIGC regulations state that in order to loan a player out, a team must have signed him to a permanent deal. By no means a club can loan a player who is already on loan. The problem is the Lega Serie A website. For some reason (I really don't know why), when a team signs one of his loanees to a permanent deal, the site does not report it. Luxic (talk) 23:11, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

For Sub-loan, I saw it in old Udinese announcement (past year window?), it said it agreed a "sub-loan" (i had no link in hand, BTW). In although the normal regulation said the loan club cannot sub-loan the player, usually the loan club asked the parent club of the player and re-loan/sub-loan to a third club, with some arrangement on salary and/or buy option.

Hi! Basically, I reverted it for consistency with the rest of the article. Besides, I must admit I'm not fond of collapsible tables, as they should not be used to conceal article content according to MOS:SCROLL. Anyway, since there's no specific manual of style for club season articles, I guess there isn't a 'right way' to do it. What I did when I started to edit Milan season articles was to base on 2009–10 Manchester United F.C. season, because I wanted to write articles with a good prose and not just an excessive listings of statistics like other club season articles. You're right about preserving consistency, I just thought I'd make the rest of the article in a similar fashion. However, you do have a good point there about writing the articles with good prose, so I agree we should keep the current format. Keep up the good work! can you please tell me where is the vandalism in this sentence: "Digão's older brother, Kaká, is also a footballer. An attacking midfielder, he also played for São Paulo and Milan, also spending several seasons in Spain with Real Madrid. A Brazilian international on nearly 100 occasions, he helped the national team win the 2002 FIFA World Cup." Kaká played for SP? YES! Kaká played for MIL? YES! Kaká played for R.Madrid? YES! Kaká gained almost 100 caps for Brazil (82, OK i changed it to 90)? YES!

Oh my, that happened a century ago! As far as I can recall, I was only trying to make that paragraph less focused on Kaká (whose achievements are arleady described in his own article) and more on that couple of things that are noteworthy about their relation — i.e. both footballers, both played for São Paulo and Milan, the origin of the nickname Kaká. But I guess it's just an editor's choice, so feel free to change it back. As for my edit summary, actually I don't know why I said "vandalism"; I must have thought that sentence was the work of an overeager Kaká's fan. I apologize.
