Flags

You're right. However, I realized that it's useless dividing notable players by nationality, so I put them all together (hence leaving the italian flags). – Luxic 19:21, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

It might be useless for you, but it is common, across similar articles, to use this division, which, furthermore, removes the need to put flags everywhere.--BaldClarke 21:02, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Hi. I just want to talk about the former driver infobox. I just don't think it "feels" right. Ecclestone's role as a driver is an important part of his life but yet small compared to his management roles. However the infobox by its very nature suggests major importance. However if you said its a former driver box and he's a former driver I can't argue with that logic. Any thoughts? Mark83 17:27, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

Well, Ecclestone's career as a driver was something ridiculous, but I'd leave the infobox anyway, because a lot of drivers that raced only once or twice in F1, have an infobox (e.g. Vincenzo Sospiri, Stephane Sarrazin, Yuji Ide). AC Milan Players

Well it says Notable players. Eventhought they didn't play a lot of matches, a lot of them gained fame from playing at Milan. Davids for instance played a whole season at Milan. Vieira is famous for flopping at Milan and being flogged to Arsenal for only 3.5m. Ayala played 2 seasons at Milan with 24 league appearances. Jimmy Greaves is fairly famous for having played at Milan. I agree that Ziege is prob a bit dodgy in the list, but he is still a notable player. I see what you are saying though. Hey its up to you. This whole notable players area needs to be discuessed though to come up with a valid definition of what is a notable player. I'm also basing this on the fact that every other club article seems to have just about every player thrown in. Niall123 19:12, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

Luxic, looking through the WikiProject Football page I noticed this rule applying to youth players: "If they've played any top league level games then they are notable". I'm guessing that this means the same for senior players in that if they have played a senior game for the club and if they are a notable player in their own right, then they are a notable player for that club. On a different matter, I note that the AC Milan article didn't make Featured Article status. I'm willing to put in work to get it to this level. A big cleanup is needed, including creating sub articles. What should be done is to have a template at like at the bottom of the Arsenal article where you have a number of sub articles for former players, stadium, history etc. I personally would like a total list of AC Milan players like in the Arsenal article. I'd also like to see a seperate "Records" sub article like in the arsenal article. Wouldn't mind see a lot of these lists being put into wikitable format either. Serie A deletion

You better have a look at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/La Liga 2006/2007 results December 2006. Basically a non footballing wikipedian has nominated the detailed results sections of Serie A and La Liga for deletion. I'm personally totally against them being deleted. I've voted to keep the pages and I just thought I'd highlight this as you might want to vote either way on this. Thanks Niall123 18:38, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

Champions Youth Cup 2007

I hope you understand why I removed the Man Utd badge from that article now. The logo can only be used on Wikipedia when its use is justified by a fair use rationale, and since it was only being used as a decoration on the aforementioned article, it had to be removed. - PeeJay 09:10, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

Can we change the primary name of "Super Coppa di Lega Serie C1" to "Supercoppa di Lega Serie C1"?, not just redirect page, use real Italian name like Supercoppa Italiana. A.C. Milan

Ciao, scusa ti ripondo in italiano perche vado di fretta. Allora come ben saprai in alto a destra nelle pagine delle squadre di calcio si scrive il nome comune, cioè il nome comunemente utilizzato dai suoi tifosi. In questo caso trattandosi di squadra italiana il termine è Milan. Ti faccio presente inoltre che il nome societario per esteso non viene scritto per nessuna delle altre squadre, per esempio non viene scritto Real Madrid C.F., Liverpool F.C. o ancora Juventus F.C. Per quanto riguarda il nome esteso A.C. Milan se ne fa riferimento nella prima riga dell'itroduzione. Quindi nessuno nasconde il fatto.
Per Maldini come hai detto bene ha esordito nella stagione 1984-85, quindi le stagioni disputate sono state 25, mentre scrivendo 1985 il lettore è indotto a pensare che ha militato nel Milan per 24 stagioni, ciò che è falso.--Blocci (talk) 15:56, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

Ciao ho visto la tua risposta, senti quelo che dici è giusto, ma la questione è semplice. La dicitura A.C. Milan è già il titolo principale della pagina in alto a sinistra. Sopra il box in alto a destra di solito viene scritto il nome del club semplificato. A questo riguardo, AC Milan è un modo di dire e di scrivere unicamente anglofono, mentre in altri paesi come in Francia per esempio viene chiamato Milan AC, e in Sud America lo chiamano solamente Milan. Proprio per queste diversità che ci sono, quello spazio è stato pensato per inserire il club nel nome più comune e più generale nel quale viene chiamato nel suo paese e nel mondo intero. Per queste ragioni secondo me in quello spazio andrebbe lasciato Milan. Capisci? I lettori anglofoni che visitano la pagina non hanno modo di confondersi in quanto da subito con il titolo, e poi nei testi si fa riferimento numerose volte al termine da loro utilizzato.

Per quanto riguarda la tabella Maldini-Baresi, se ti lasciano fare la tabella con data di esordio, stagione di esordio, numero di stagioni, data del ritiro... sarebbe un'ottima idea. Ciao--Blocci (talk) 16:28, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
