Please do not edit articles on projects you are closely related to. REF https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Neutral_point_of_view

Could you please cite me the exact section of that page that specifies that I can't edit articles regarding projects that I'm involved with. I couldn't find anything that explicitly stated this.

P.S. I'm also curious about what part of my submission was considered biased as I endeavoured to post the information in a matter of fact way without stating any positive or negative opinion on how that specific feature was implemented. I'm open to suggestions on improving my objectivity.

Hi Lukedegruchy The general concern I suspect is a potential conflict of interest, you need to declare a COI if there is one, be open and honest. Editors are normally disauded from edits which could constitute a COI, but that's not to say it can't be done, but you need to tread carefully and be patient, because you are likely to get challenged. Stick in there, there are no mistakes that can't be undone, but please don't take offence if others disagree. Happy editing Pahazzard (talk) 21:45, 6 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Reason for deemed COI: Lukedegruchy is a contributor to the project (https://herd.ceylon-lang.org/users/lukedegruchy) Catchiaro —Preceding undated comment added 20:13, 8 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I have made contributions to the Ceylon project. I could have made the above mentioned edit using a pseudonym, but did not. As was stated below I was unaware of the connected contributor template at the time I made the edit. Thank you. I was honestly unaware of the conflict of interest section nor the recommended procedure regarding the connected contributor template. Should I ever do such an edit in the future I'll be mindful of the procedure.
