United States[edit]

Please stop adding that to the article. It's far too specific for the intro, and it's frankly false - they may call themselves commonwealths, but they are functionally no different from the other states, and are regarded federally as states. --Golbez (talk) 19:18, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Golbez. Please raise it at Talk:United States instead of continuing to add it to the article. --John (talk) 19:24, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't challenge that they term themselves commonwealths; however they are functionally identical to the 46 states and therefore require no special mention in the intro. Maybe in the "States" section at the end. And when you are reverted on an article, always go to the Talk page before continuing. --Golbez (talk) 19:36, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
