Div col

Yeah, I recently brought it up at the style guide's talk page and had the guideline revised to including both Div and col, because the div template doesnt work for Internet explorer. This issue should probably be addressed some more, although I'm not sure how. Dan56 (talk) 10:42, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

"Trouble" and "Lovebird"

Look's like her stints on The Voice in both countries has helped a bit as "Trouble" is #47 on the German iTunes chart and "Lovebird" is #94 on the Spanish iTunes chart. I'm not surprised that "Lovebird" did badly here, the promotion was so fucked. I reckon she will go back to Germany in January as she is popular. If she wants to revive Glassheart then surely "Glassheart" is an obvious single chart. AARONTALK 18:32, 21 December 2012 (UTC)

I couldn't agree more. "Glassheart" should be the next single if the label is gonna pay for anything else on the project it might as well be "Glassheart" as recording it was such a risk in the first place. I still think that "Un Love Me" is a single waiting to happen too! — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 21:43, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, I like that song too. Considering she has performed "Come Alive" several times now I'm surprised that wasn't the second single tbh. AARONTALK 16:48, 23 December 2012 (UTC)

Tamar

Hi bhai! Did you hear "Love and War" by Tamar Braxton? I think she has a wonderful voice, much powerful than her sister's. Don't you think so? 五代 (talk) 04:45, 24 December 2012 (UTC)

Thank you Lil :) Toni is on another level, and she has been in the industry for about 20 years now. Tamar lacks control over voice? I didn't feel it when I heard the song. Maybe, her older songs? I haven't heard them yet. 五代 (talk) 04:11, 25 December 2012 (UTC)
Oh, I see. I haven't heard Tamar singing live but Toni is awesome. I remember watching this performance of "Breathe Again" and wow, it was one of the best performances I've heard in my life. 五代 (talk) 04:03, 26 December 2012 (UTC)

WikiCup 2013 January newsletter

Signups are now closed; we have our final 127 contestants for this year's competition. 64 contestants will make it to the next round at the end of February, but we're already seeing strong scoring compared to previous years. Colorado Sturmvogel_66 (submissions) currently leads, with 358 points. At this stage in 2012, the leader (Irish Citizen Army Grapple X (submissions)) had 342 points, while in 2011, the leader had 228 points. We also have a large number of scorers when compared with this stage in previous years. Florida 12george1 (submissions) was the first competitor to score this year, as he was last year, with a detailed good article review. Some other firsts:

Featured articles, portals and topics, as well as good topics, are yet to feature in the competition.

This year, the bonus points system has been reworked, with bonus points on offer for old articles prepared for did you know, and "multiplier" points reworked to become more linear. For details, please see Wikipedia:WikiCup/Scoring. There have been some teething problems as the bot has worked its way around the new system, but issues should mostly be ironed out- please report any problems to the WikiCup talk page. Here are some participants worthy of note with regards to the bonus points:

  • United States Ed! (submissions) was the first to score bonus points, with Portland-class cruiser, a good article.
  • Australia Hawkeye7 (submissions) has the highest overall bonus points, as well as the highest scoring article, thanks to his work on Enrico Fermi, now a good article. The biography of such a significant figure to the history of science warrants nearly five times the normal score.
  • Chicago HueSatLum (submissions) claimed bonus points for René Vautier and Nicolas de Fer, articles that did not exist on the English Wikipedia at the start of the year; a first for the WikiCup. The articles were eligible for bonus points because of fact they were both covered on a number of other Wikipedias.

Also, a quick mention of British Empire The C of E (submissions), who may well have already written the oddest article of the WikiCup this year: did you know that the Fucking mayor objected to Fucking Hell on the grounds that there was no Fucking brewery? The gauntlet has been thrown down; can anyone beat it?

If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! Re: Glassheart Tour

It is a part of her tour. It has been confirmed that she's doing a full set. And it's not even a "festival" as, by definition, it would have many headliners/many artists performing during the day. This is a group of outdoor concerts. Both the Kew date and the Scarborough date are seperated from the rest of the tour dates because they need to guarantee good weather for open air arenas. If you are going to remove Kew, you need to remove Scarborough also because that is the same thing - an open air venue, which during the summer has many different artists performing each night.

Also, even if Kew Gardens was a "festival", it would still need inclusion into the tour dates. As per Wikipedia rules, both festivals and multiple artist concerts (ie Charity concerts/Radio station concerts) need to be stated, just with an annotation ([A], [B] etc.). For instance;

When Kelly Clarkson appeared at Capital FM's Summertime Ball and & Mardi Gras: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stronger_Tour When Ke$ha performed at Glastonbury, T in the Park etc: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Get_Sleazy_Tour When Nicki Minaj performed at Wireless, Hackney Big Weekend etc: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pink_Friday_Tour

I could go on but you get the point. If you're gonna change Leona's information, then you'll not only need to change 100s of other Tour pages but also go against Wikipedia rules. --Krusty111 (talk) 17:18, 2 February 2013 (UTC)

Don't be facetious. I didn't state that you "need" to moderate "all" the articles on Wikipedia, I simply pointed out that you cannot have double standards. With regards to others having their prerogative with including festivals in their tour dates, there's two points. Firstly, it is the norm to include them as, generally speaking, artists perform all or a section of their regular tour set lists. In this instance, Leona will be performing one hour forty minutes worth (i.e. *all*) of her tour set list at Kew Gardens. And secondly, don't refer to the "Other Stuff Exists" article, as that refers to subjective points, NOT facts, which we are dealing with here.
If you check here it says that the "headline" artist. The "headline" artists it refers to, is all the artists listed here. That isn't "original research", that is factual, verified, published and reliable information. I'm not "assuming" anything. As I stated in my previous post, it's NOT at the same time of the year. That's the whole point. Please read more carefully next time. And I also wish to bring back the point, you are contradicting yourself as you have kept the Scarborough date in the tour list. Please explain to me why this is any different from the Kew Gardens scenario. And please do not make threats, this will be the final warning before I report you to WP:ABUSE. --Krusty111 (talk) 12:49, 3 February 2013 (UTC)

Hi, I need your help. -- Genre problems.

Hi, sorry for interrupting, I just want to know about the genre problems of two pages: "So What" and "Sober", both are Pink songs. So please resolve.

"So What" is actually a pop rock, pop punk and power pop song, not dance-pop. I don't think it contains dance music influences on it.

"Sober" is actually a pop rock (primary genre) and alternative rock (secondary genre). But it shuffled to alternative rock and pop rock, by the way, Funhouse is majorly a pop rock album. I think would change back into pop rock and alternative rock, because pop rock is the primary genre, and alternative rock is the secondary genre. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lordofpyrus (talkcontribs) 18:51, 2 February 2013 (UTC)

Edit to Pour It Up

I reverted your recent edit to Pour It Up. A previous editor had contested the validity of the genre you removed and replaced with an unsourced genre, but consensus was made at the talk page, which highlights ad nauseum that the only two sources that categorize the song as any genre are by Billboard and Prefixmag, and that the only aesthetic opinions that should be considered are those by professional critiques, in this case the two review articles. WikiCup 2013 February newsletter

Round 1 is now over. The top 64 scorers have progressed to round 2, where they have been randomly split into eight pools of eight. At the end of April, the top two from each pool, as well as the 16 highest scorers from those remaining, will progress to round 3. Commiserations to those eliminated; if you're interested in still being involved in the WikiCup, able and willing reviewers will always be needed, and if you're interested in getting involved with other collaborative projects, take a look at the WikiWomen's Month discussed below.

Round 1 saw 21 competitors with over 100 points, which is fantastic; that suggests that this year's competition is going to be highly competative. Our lower scores indicate this, too: A score of 19 was required to reach round 2, which was significantly higher than the 11 points required in 2012 and 8 points required in 2011. The score needed to reach round 3 will be higher, and may depend on pool groupings. In 2011, 41 points secured a round 3 place, while in 2012, 65 was needed. Our top three scorers in round 1 were:

  1. Colorado Sturmvogel_66 (submissions), primarily for an array of warship GAs.
  2. London Miyagawa (submissions), primarily for an array of did you knows and good articles, some of which were awarded bonus points.
  3. New South Wales Casliber (submissions), due in no small part to Canis Minor, a featured article awarded a total of 340 points. A joint submission with Alaska Keilana (submissions), this is the highest scoring single article yet submitted in this year's competition.

Other contributors of note include:

Featured topics have still played no part in this year's competition, but once again, a curious contribution has been offered by British Empire The C of E (submissions): did you know that there is a Shit Brook in Shropshire? With April Fools' Day during the next round, there will probably be a good chance of more unusual articles...

March sees the WikiWomen's History Month, a series of collaborative efforts to aid the women's history WikiProject to coincide with Women's History Month and International Women's Day. A number of WikiCup participants have already started to take part. The project has a to-do list of articles needing work on the topic of women's history. Those interested in helping out with the project can find articles in need of attention there, or, alternatively, add articles to the list. Those interested in collaborating on articles on women's history are also welcome to use the WikiCup talk page to find others willing to lend a helping hand. Another collaboration currently running is an an effort from WikiCup participants to coordinate a number of Easter-themed did you know articles. Contributions are welcome!

A few final administrative issues. From now on, submission pages will need only a link to the article and a link to the nomination page, or, in the case of good article reviews, a link to the review only. See your submissions' page for details. This will hopefully make updating submission pages a little less tedious. Good luck! Yo...

What's your problem, bro? Considering I co-produced this song... I would know who did what more than anyone else. You're negatively impacting my business, dude.

Not to mention that your continuing to delete the credits from the people that worked very hard on this song is VERY rude, man. That type of attack isn't necessary. Just because you don't have something or it wasn't released does not mean that it doesn't exist....

Totally unacceptable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wanthonypreston (talkcontribs) 23:24, 30 March 2013 (UTC)

With respect, I don't need a lesson from you regarding my business or the purpose of Wiki.

I would encourage you to reconsider your approach particularly when dealing with someone closer the facts than your person will ever be. I stand behind my previous communication and will defend the accuracy. You should use the "talk" button to have a healthy discussion when you are unsure of accuracy and not make attacks that are false and inaccurate to anyone's negative impact. I understand your position, young man: it is your approach that I find disrespectful.

To that point, I will gladly send you some type of validation especially considering I can't figure out how to add the cd jacket :).

WikiCup 2013 March newsletter

We are halfway through round two. Pool A sees the strongest competition, with five out of eight of its competitors scoring over 100, and Pool H is lagging, with half of its competitors yet to score. WikiCup veterans lead overall; Pool A's Colorado Sturmvogel_66 (submissions) (2010's winner) leads overall, with poolmate London Miyagawa (submissions) (a finalist in 2011 and 2012) not far behind. Pool F's New South Wales Casliber (submissions) (a finalist in 2010, 2011 and 2012) is in third. The top two scorers in each pool, as well as the next highest 16 scorers overall, will progress to round three at the end of April.

Today has seen a number of Easter-themed did you knows from WikiCup participants, and March has seen collaboration from contestants with WikiWomen's History Month. It's great to see the WikiCup being used as a locus of collaboration; if you know of any collaborative efforts going on, or want to start anything up, please feel free to use the WikiCup talk page to help find interested editors. As well as fostering collaboration, we're also seeing the Cup encouraging the improvement of high-importance articles through the bonus point system. Highlights from the last month include GAs on physicist Niels Bohr (Australia Hawkeye7 (submissions)), on the European hare (Wales Cwmhiraeth (submissions)), on the constellation Circinus (Alaska Keilana (submissions) and New South Wales Casliber (submissions)) and on the Third Epistle of John (Indiana Cerebellum (submissions)). All of these subjects were covered on at least 50 Wikipedias at the beginning of the year and, subsequently, each contribution was awarded at least three times as many points as normal.

Wikipedians who enjoy friendly competition may be interested in participating in April's wikification drive. While wikifying an article is typically not considered "significant work" such that it can be claimed for WikiCup points, such gnomish work is often invaluable in keeping articles in shape, and is typically very helpful for new writers who may not be familiar with formatting norms.

A quick reminder: now, submission pages will need only a link to the article and a link to the nomination page, or, in the case of good article reviews, a link to the review only. See your submissions' page for details. This will hopefully make updating submission pages a little less tedious. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. WikiCup 2013 April newsletter

We are a week into Round 3, but it is off to a flying start, with Republic of Rose Island Sven Manguard (submissions) claiming for the high-importance Portal:Sports and Portal:Geography (which are the first portals ever awarded bonus points in the WikiCup) and Wales Cwmhiraeth (submissions) claiming for a did you know of sea, the highest scoring individual did you know article ever submitted for the WikiCup. Round 2 saw very impressive scores at close; first place New South Wales Casliber (submissions) and second place Colorado Sturmvogel_66 (submissions) both scored over 1000 points; a feat not seen in Round 2 since 2010. This, in part, has been made possible by the change in the bonus points rules, but is also testament to the quality of the competition this year. Pool C and Pool G were most competitive, with three quarters of participants making it to Round 3, while Pool D was the least, with only the top two scorers making it through. The lowest qualifying score was 123, significantly higher than last year's 65, 2011's 41 or even 2010's 100.

The next issue of The Signpost is due to include a brief update on the current WikiCup, comparing it to previous years' competitions. This may be of interest to current WikiCup followers, and may help bring some more new faces into the community. We would also like to note that this round includes an extra competitor to the 32 advertised, who has been added to a random pool. This extra inclusion seems to have been the fairest way to deal with a small mistake made before the beginning of this round, but should not affect the competition in a large way. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please feel free to contact one of the judges.

A rules clarification: content promoted between rounds can be claimed in the round after the break, but not the round before. The case in point is content promoted on 29/30 April, which may be claimed in this round. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. I love it EXCEPT for pitbull and the stupid twisted electro-breakdowns. Oh and the sill ad-libs "Make Love, Don't Fight / lets fook tonight". What a shame really. I never forgave Lopez for cancelling her world-tour date in Manchester, UK (I had hotels and trains booked) and now she's at 2101, Capital Records I fear she's gonna put out nothing but fast food music :( I want her back on Idol! — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 15:53, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
Aww, man! That sucks! Well... That's not exactly true, but of course they'd release such a type of song as the first single. RedOne said back in late 2012 that the album will consist of Dance, Latin, Hip Hop and Pop songs. And we know she's been working with Cory again, so I still have some hope! The next single will obviously be urban. Probably the song with Future.  — Statυs (talk, contribs) 15:57, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
I hope so. Im so surprised she jumped ship (again!). Yeah I imagine the next song will be either a Chris Brown collab or a the Future one. Meh... I like it better than "Dance Again" though, just wished she'd chosen someone hotter than Pitbull. Tbh my summer is made with this and Tamar Braxton's "The One", especially the latter which is my summer jam! — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 16:03, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
I think, at least, Pitbull works more on "Live It Up". He was completely useless on "Dance Again" (Thank God for the solo version... the only one I listen to; I hope "Live It Up" gets the same treatment.) I'd rather no feature at all. I don't understand her need for one; on "Goin' In", they just went and searched for someone to feature on it. That's not how it should work, in my opinion. Work with someone you actually want to, and not just after a song and be like: "Hmm... who could I add on here?" Haven't heard "The One". I'll listen now.  — Statυs (talk, contribs) 16:08, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
I need me the solo version of "Dance Again"! The breakdown/middle-8 is hawwt! Yeah tbh Pitbull wasn't needed on "Dance Again". "Goin' In" was a mess that shouldn't have happened tbh. Its hard to keep track cause she's jumping ship left/right and centre. Hopefully capital is a lot more organised now under universal. I hear Capital, Mowtown and Republic Records are all under the same umbrella so that puts Lopez with the likes of Young Money (Minaj, Wayne, Drake), Akon, Kelly Rowland and Ne-Yo. That could make for exciting times... — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 16:12, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
Considering the promo lined up, and that JLo plans to release several more singles before the album release, it looks like she may be getting the type of single promo that Katy got for Teenage Dream. The truth of the matter is, JLo is, for the most part, a singles artist. And since 2005, her lead single has been the only single that got some love from the label, and the rest were just released, flopped, and no more singles came out. It looks like this era, they will focus on singles first, and then finally release the album (like she said, she will released it when people want to actually buy a JLo album). This is a good thing, however, I hope that doesn't mean all we will get is some generic songs. I like that Kelly Rowland continues to do R&B; I wish Jenny would do the same.  — Statυs (talk, contribs) 16:20, 11 May 2013 (UTC)

Radio Songs

Hey Lil-unique, don't believe we have chatted before. Seeing your edit regarding the R&B Songs chart in "#Beautiful", I removed the Radio Songs chart also, since it is one of the components of the Bubbling Under chart, which is compiled similarly from the Hot 100 Airplay, Hot Singles Sales and Hot Digital Songs and the new streaming data. Seems logical that only on the strength of Radio Songs only "#Beautiful" debuted there. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 13:28, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

Yes, yes, I have seen Status, Tomica and Jivesh editing and have sometimes interacted with them too. :) Nice to know you Lil-unique, shall I call you just Lil? Haha. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 13:36, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
IndianBio, it hasn't charted on the Hot 100 so Radio Songs can be included per WP:USCHARTS. But Lil-Unique is right about the R&B Songs; it charted on the Top R&B/Hip hop Songs chart so according to WP:USCHARTS R&B Songs may not be included in the table.  — AARONTALK 13:44, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
However, Radio songs is a component of the Bubbling Under as the Bubbling Under Hot 100 tracks sales, streaming and airplay. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 14:02, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
But that's not what we follow on WP:USCHARTS.  — AARONTALK 15:00, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
Tbh it should be updated. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 15:03, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
Hey Lil, you can surely call me IB, and Calvin, thanks for explaining, I do think WP:USCHARTS should be updated for the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles section. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 15:55, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
I believe it should be too, but for the moment...  — AARONTALK

Wikiproject for Leona

Do you think I should try again? There are a lot more articles now.  — AARONTALK 22:38, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) You can just create one. The council thing is stale, and isn't even required to make a WikiProject.  — Statυs (talk, contribs) 22:46, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
How do I just create one?  — AARONTALK 22:57, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

US Charts

"#Beautiful" hasn't charted on the Hot 100, just the Bubbling Under, so yes Digital is allowed per WP:USCHARTS.  — AARONTALK 10:19, 16 May 2013 (UTC)

The same way we're not including radio songs we shouldn't included Digital songs as they're both part of the Bubbling Under's methodology. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 10:25, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
Well whoever removed Radio shouldn't have.  — AARONTALK 10:28, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
I've modified the policy page. I originally wrote WP:USCHARTS. The Bubbling Under is constructed from the radio songs and digital chart so it is a subset of hot 100. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 10:30, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
The other three can never be added then, so that's stupid.  — AARONTALK 10:33, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
That's not true... a song can chart on the Digital Songs chart without appearing on the Bubbling Under and vice-verse. The two things arent 100% mutually exclusive. Our rules are clear for wikipedia charts... we avoid charts that feed into another chart. The whole point is that we prefer the Hot 100 to the Radio Songs and Hot Digital as it is all more inclusive and a better indication of overall popularity. The Bubbling Under is the exact same methodology, if anything its almost like positions 101-125 on the Hot 100. Thus it shouldnt be treated different to the Hot 100. Ive clarified: at Wikipedia_talk:Record_charts#Bubbling_Under. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 10:38, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
Not very often, they nearly always chart on the Bubbling Under. We prefer the Hot 100 when we actually have a chart position for the Hot 100, for which until tomorrow, we don't. The Bubbling Under is treated differently though. Entires on that chart do not count toward Hot 100 entries. If they wanted it to be treated the same, the Hot 100 would be 1-125.  — AARONTALK 10:43, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
Not very often maybe so but its still a possibility. You cant change the fact that the Bubbling Under is composed from the Radio Songs and the Digital Songs and thus Radio and Digital songs are components of the Bubbling Under and Hot 100. The bubbling under was introduced afterwards but its methodology is still the same as the Hot 100 (negative the streaming chart). — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 10:48, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
I'm not changing the fact, but Billboard clearly treat them differently. This has never been an issue before, I don't see why it has suddenly become one now.  — AARONTALK 10:51, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
But as far as wikipedia is concerned the Digital Charts and Radio charts are a component of the Bubbling Under Hot 100 (as that is how it is derived) and hence shouldnt be listed if the Bubbling Under Hot 100 is. How does what Billboard do with the chart change how we treat it? Whether Billboard treats the twenty five positions as 101-125 or 1-25 is irrelevant. Bubbling Under is still derived from Hot Digital Songs and Hot Airplay. No one has ever tried to add Digital Songs and Hot Airplay alongside Bubbling Under before, that's why its an issue. Hence I added the note to clarify because i've never seen WP:USCHARTS interpreted the way you did. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 10:55, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
It's an extension with its own chart system. It's not irrelevant. Yes, people have added Bubbling under with Digital before, I've said that already. I'm not interpreting anything. It clearly says if a song has not charted on the Hot 100, then Bubbling, Digital, Radio or Hot Singles. That's not interpreting, that's following what is written.  — AARONTALK 10:59, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
That's irrelevant. The Bubbling under is 25 songs based on sales and airplay that didnt make the Hot 100 (the formula/ranking system is identical). Thus the Sales chart and Airplay charts are components of the bubbling under. Its quite simple. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 11:03, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
But didn't make it onto the Hot 100. We obviously include the four chart listed in that section of the table because it shows that the song did make an impact charting.  — AARONTALK 11:08, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
Im happy to continue discussing at the guideline's talk page as you quite rightly pointed out, it wont be an issue for this song tomorrow. However i dp stand by what I say. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 11:22, 16 May 2013 (UTC)

Glassheart Tour

Articles, like FTopics or GATopics are supposed to follow a consistency in they articles, that is, the can't be different in their style. If these both articles are likely to become a GA in the future, they can't look different from each other. Citing the only featured article about concert tours, Zoo TV Tour, the current style (as I reverted) is the correct one. ACCESS has nothing to do here, as colorblind people will not note any change as there aren't colors involved like in List of songs recorded by Katy Perry, where color and symbols are used to avoid these accessibility problems. Bolding the cities won't help people to know something, if they can read text like the one I am writing or other parameters in that table, bolding won't change something. Also, why cities are bolded and go first, when there are XXXX concert tours that follow this style? If CONCERT doesn't has a style, create one, that's the intention of WikiProjects. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 19:19, 19 May 2013 (UTC)

I'm going to tell you the same I told you above, create consensus at CONCERT to avoid future simialr issues, you are not new here. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 19:44, 19 May 2013 (UTC)
WP:MOSALBUM is part of a project, WP:AT is a policy, WP:DAB and WP:NCM guidelines, and where Thriller (album) is right now. Policies and guidelines cannot "govern" all WPs and their own policies or styles because of the simple fact they are policies and guidelines. They affect Wikipedia as a whole and this is not correctly performed as one thing is a song, another a tour, another a video game and another a country. CONCERT should have its own style following WP:ACCESS, not that ACCESS should "override" CONCERT, if not what's the reason to have a Concerts WP other than classify concerts. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 20:34, 19 May 2013 (UTC)

Dance Again... the Hits

Yes, I had noticed. :-( I was hoping that this would be like the "semi-retirement" break that he never seemed to take and would come back soon. But since it looks like he's gone for good, would you mind making the minor adjustments listed on the review page so I can pass the article? WikiRedactor (talk) 19:43, 19 May 2013 (UTC)

Live It Up solo

So much better, of course!  — Statυs (talk, contribs) 00:11, 6 June 2013 (UTC)

Music to my ears! I'm fed up of Pitbull. Its so much better without. A shame though... it doesn't seem to be doing as well as her previous RedOne releases. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 00:13, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
I really don't care at this point... Dance music is just about over, and R&B is finally coming back... She needs to go back to the block and pretend "Live It Up" never happened. They are promoting the hell out of it, and nothing is happening...  — Statυs (talk, contribs) 00:15, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
I agree... she needs to label this as her annual one-a-year dance singles, and now smash it hard with an urban jam. I'd love to hear something off the record with a hot rapper. I dont think the record with Future is the one. But maybe something with Drake or Common. Tbh I'm still pissed that this never got released. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 00:18, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
I only want her collaborate with rappers who actually matter, like Kanye, Eminem, Jay-Z, etc. Her last few singles have all been features, so I really want a solo single for a change... And DO NOT remind me about "Mouth 2 Mouth"... OMG...  — Statυs (talk, contribs) 00:34, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
This is true... but im not sure people check for JLo solo's anymore. Like "Papi" should have done better than it did. A Kanye-JLo or Jay Z-JLO collabo would be hot. Ah what's the deal with "M2M" were you a fan? it was so so hot! It should have been released =/ — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 00:38, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
Also why does everyone harp on about it being her tenth album? Love? was her seventh? Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 00:40, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
Well, if it was properly promoted maybe. "Papi" should have been released off the success of "On the Floor". Love? era was done so wrong. Remember how "Starting Over" was gonna also be released? -_-' YES. I died and went to heaven when I heard that song... (Still do when I hear it... I try not to, so I don't get upset over it...) I was hoping she'd put it on her GH just because, since Enrique decided not to use it because it leaked. And then they said they did many songs together... none of them ever come out. So dumb. They are including Dance Again and J to tha L-O! to make it her tenth overall album.  — Statυs (talk, contribs) 00:44, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
Didn't Enrique put it on the re-release of Euphoria or was it completely unused? I bet the recorded that alongside "Dance Again" and a billion others... ugh they had such good chemistry together on "M2M". That is a collabo waiting to happen again and actually get used this time. They even toured together... was perfect chance to promote it. so so angry with JLO... i'll never forgive her for cancelling her Manchester date here in the UK too! — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 00:47, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
It was planned for the re-release of Euphoria; it was to have 3 new songs, "Mouth 2 Mouth" with JLo, "I Like How It Feels" with Pitbull, and "Naked" with Dev. "I Like How It Feels" flopped, and the other two leaked, so he went back into the studio to record new music, and added up just deciding to work on a new album instead. Yes, they have great chemistry! They even said they'd perform a song together on tour... And let's not forget Physical. That sounded hot. at her cancelling the date!  — Statυs (talk, contribs) 01:27, 6 June 2013 (UTC)

WikiProject Good Articles Recruitment Centre

Hello! Now, some of you might have already received a similar message a little while ago regarding the Recruitment Centre, so if you have, there is no need to read the rest of this. This message is directed to users who have reviewed over 15 Good article nominations and are not part of WikiProject Good articles (the first message I sent out went to only WikiProject members).

So for those who haven't heard about the Recruitment Centre yet, you may be wondering why there is a Good article icon with a bunch of stars around it (to the right). The answer? WikiProject Good articles will be launching a Recruitment Centre very soon! The centre will allow all users to be taught how to review Good article nominations by experts just like you! However, in order for the Recruitment Centre to open in the first place, we need some volunteers:

  • Recruiters: The main task of a recruiter is to teach users that have never reviewed a Good article nomination how to review one. To become a recruiter, all you have to do is meet this criteria. If we don't get at least 5-10 recruiters to start off with (at the time this message was sent out, 2 recruiters have volunteered), the Recruitment Centre will not open. If interested, make sure you meet the criteria, read the process and add your name to the list of recruiters. (One of the great things about being a recruiter is that there is no set requirement of what must be taught and when. Instead, all the content found in the process section is a guideline of the main points that should be addressed during a recruitment session...you can also take an entire different approach if you wish!) If you think you will not have the time to recruit any users at this time but are still interested in becoming a recruiter, you can still add your name to the list of recruiters but just fill in the "Status" parameter with "Not Available".
  • Co-Director: The current Director for the centre is me (Dom497). Another user that would be willing to help with some of the tasks would be helpful. Tasks include making sure recruiters are doing what they should be (teaching!), making sure all recruitments are archived correctly, updating pages as needed, answering any questions, and distributing the feedback form. If interested, please contact me (Dom497).
  • Nominators, please read this: If you are not interested in becoming a recruiter, you can still help. In some cases a nominator may have an issue with an "inexperienced" editor (the recruitee) reviewing one of their nominations. To minimize the chances of this happening, if you are fine with a recruitee reviewing one of your nominations under the supervision of the recruiter, please add your name to the list at the bottom of this page. By adding your name to this list, chances are that your nomination will be reviewed more quickly as the recruitee will be asked to choose a nomination from the list of nominators that are OK with them reviewing the article.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to seeing this program bring new reviewers to the Good article community and all the positive things it will bring along.

A message will be sent out to all recruiters regarding the date when the Recruitment Centre will open when it is determined. The message will also contain some further details to clarify things that may be a bit confusing.--Dom497 (talk)

Do you want to work on Glassheart and Glassheart Tour? Get them nominated can we can do GAT?  — AARONTALK 15:42, 11 June 2013 (UTC)

Sure. I think 'Glassheart maybe due a copy edit. i'll get started shortly. I wanna pretty much keep the format but tidy up a lot of the prose. Btw i've noticed you do this a lot of referencing: =''Digital Spy'' | publisher=Hearst Magazines UK. That's considered bad practise because templates autoformat for a reason. A website isn't considered a work, a webpage is a work of a website thus it should be "publisher=Digital Spy. (Hearst Magazines UK)" instead. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 15:47, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
OKay. That's just how I've always done it.  — AARONTALK 15:49, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
The access people came down on me like a tonne of bricks for doing it. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 16:10, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
Lol. I've just been reading forums about Glassheart and its singles. So many people have said about "Glassheart", and "Come Alive", as being singles and do not understand why they aren't. I feel like campaigning to get them released lol. IThway how this entire project was handled does my head in so much. This christmas needs to be perfect down to the last piano key if she wants any success from it. If I was her management now. those two songs would be released, I'd get her to release a Christmas album and promote it from mid October through to December, and then release her fifth album next March/April with a upbeat dance summer lead single.  — AARONTALK 23:04, 11 June 2013 (UTC)

Poor Ciara

Ciara has leaked. They went to put the album up for pre-order on her store and accidentally made it for sale instead...  — Statυs (talk, contribs) 21:26, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

The album is awful. I heard snippets as well as "Overdose" and "Livin' It Up" (featuring Minaj) and tbh the first feels great and very ready friendly, but builds up and never leads anywhere whilst the latter is ruined by Minaj. I dunno what Cici is doing wrong but the album feels like one long track and "I'm Out" is a bloody awful single choice. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 21:53, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
I've only heard "Body Party", "Overdose", "Livin' It Up" and "I'm Out". "Got Me Good" and "Sorry" are so much better than any of them...  — Statυs (talk, contribs) 22:56, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
I dont get it... Sorry is better than Body Party :-/ Her fans are very very odd. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 23:05, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

Hey, I couldn't help but see this lol....I actually like "Body Party" and its on the radio all the time, but at the same time, like you when I first heard it, I thought if "Sorry' flopped, why would they release this. But, nonetheless, its successful, and looking at all access (media base), it looks like it about to hit number on on US R&B/Hip-Hop airplay, it'll likely pass Wale's Bad by tomorrow, and JCole's Power Trip is sliding, so Ill give it 2 weeks and it'll be #1... but I don't see any other song making an impact at urban radio "Im Out" is already losing urban radio impressions before its release and never even reached the top forty, while Im guessing they'll release " Where You Go" or "Super Turnt Up", but neither song hits me as "RELEASE THIS"(DUI might do something tho)... Which song do you seeing best at pop radio: based on fan request, it'll prob be "Overdose" or "Read My Lips"???? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chartwatch (talkcontribs) 01:22, 28 June 2013 (UTC)

Also, have you heard other new releases like J.Cole (I didn't like Yeezus)... Kelly Rowlands was a little boring to me, but she should release "Down On Love" next ???--Chartwatch (talk) 01:24, 28 June 2013 (UTC)

WikiCup 2013 June newsletter

We are down to our final 16: the 2013 semi-finals are upon us. A score of 321 was required to survive round 3, further cementing this as the most competitive WikiCup yet; round 3 was survived in 2012 with 243 points, in 2011 with 76 points and in 2010 with 250 points. The change may in part be to do with the fact that more articles are now awarded bonus points, in addition to more competitive play. Reaching the final has, in the past, required 573 points (2012, a 135% increase on the score needed to reach round 4), 150 points (2011, a 97% increase) and 417 points (2010, a 72% increase). This round has seen over a third of participants claiming points for featured articles (with seven users claiming for multiple featured articles) and most users have also gained bonus points. However, the majority of points continue to come from good articles, followed by did you know articles. In this round, every content type was utilised by at least one user, proving that the WikiCup brings together content contributors from all corners of the project.

Round 3 saw a number of contributions of note. Idaho Figureskatingfan (submissions) claimed the first featured topic points in this year's competition for her excellent work on topics related to Maya Angelou, the noted American author and poet. We have also continued to see high-importance articles improved as part of the competition: Wyoming Ealdgyth (submissions) was awarded a thoroughly well-earned 560 points for her featured article Middle Ages and 102 points for her good article Battle of Hastings. Good articles James Chadwick and Stanislaw Ulam netted Australia Hawkeye7 (submissions) 102 and 72 points respectively, while 72 points were awarded to Poland Piotrus (submissions) for each of Władysław Sikorski and Emilia Plater, both recently promoted to good article status. Collaborative efforts between WikiCup participants have continued, with, for example, New South Wales Casliber (submissions) and Canada Sasata (submissions) being awarded 180 points each for their featured article on Boletus luridus.

A rules reminder: content promoted between rounds can be claimed in the round after the break, but not the round before. The case in point is content promoted on the 29/30 June, which may be claimed in this round. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. We are currently seeing concern about the amount of time people have to wait for reviews, especially at GAC- if you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to reduce the review backlogs! Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. NPOV dispute

Hi. Could you comment quickly at this neutrality dispute? It's pretty straightforward. Dan56 (talk) 05:50, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

Jai Ho!

Hello, Someone apparently copy pasted from Jai Ho! to Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny) without preserving the history. Could you help me out in fixing this? MazurJacek (talk) 09:28, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
