File permission problem with File:Organise!72.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Organise!72.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MBisanz talk 22:39, 10 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:IAF-IFA map January 2010.png[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:IAF-IFA map January 2010.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 05:38, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your work on improving the article and its refs. per my comments on the talk page, i think the article still needs more third party refs. i would say leaving the tag on the article can only help attract attention to help it, as its not claiming the article is bogus or biased, just not reliably sourced to establish verifiability. this may be nearly impossible, due to bias in most media against this more fringe group. others may differ from me, and if someone who is not an anarchist (ie too close to the subject to have really good neutrality) agrees with you that the banner can be removed, i wont revert. I may in fact be an anarchist myself, but im not much of a joiner. (i know, its a silly joke, anarchy is not about not joining).Mercurywoodrose (talk) 00:26, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Local & commons[edit]

Hi Libleft, would you be so kind to automatically load up your pics and grafics to Wikimedia Commons? This is helpful, since Wikipedia is a global project. I for instance need File:IAF-IFA map January 2010.png and am going to move it now, but it not necessary to double the work. Regards. --Sargoth (talk) 07:57, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Libleft. You made a mistake in above mentioned map and forgot to leave out Kaliningrad, which belongs to russia. Could you please correct it and upload it directly to commons (same name File:IAF-IFA_map_January_2010.png) because I use it in dewiki. Thanks --Sargoth (talk) 23:09, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Somebody on dewiki helped me. Maybe you should delete your local copy now. Regards --Sargoth (talk) 10:45, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Iaf-ifa-logo.png[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Iaf-ifa-logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 04:29, 23 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Libleft … I recently encountered the article about Anarchist Federation (Britain and Ireland) and in my opinion, it either does not verifiably satisfy the Notability criteria for Organizations and companies, or it may violate the Conflict of interest guideline, or perhaps it violates a copyright.

I am considering tagging Anarchist Federation (Britain and Ireland) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) for deletion according to the Deletion policy … I do not have time to examine the article in depth at the moment, and it may improve over time, in which case this warning was premature.

I have created this initial entry on your Talk page because you are either the original author of the article, or else a recent contributor to it; I will leave more detailed information regarding my specific concerns about the article on its Discussion page … please respond either there or on this Talk page, instead of on my Talk page, in order to avoid fragmenting the conversation.

Be sure to read Ownership of articles, and remember that Some Other Editors (including at least one administrator) may not share your opinion about the notability of the article's subject.

I do not mean to imply that your contribution is unappreciated … perhaps you should read Starting an article … and remember, there was a time when I knew less about how Wikipedia works than you know right now, and I am always available to help you become a more proactive contributor.

To better understand why I have used this template, please read Flag templates for deletion warnings … I apologize if some of the expressed possible concerns may not be appropriate in this case.
