Speedy deletion nomination of Oops! Jealous[edit]

Hello Leehsiao,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Oops! Jealous for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

Ways to improve Seventy Two Changes[edit]

Hi, I'm Vgenapl. Leehsiao, thanks for creating Seventy Two Changes!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Vgenapl (talk) 08:10, 1 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Oops! Jealous (company) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. -The Heraldthe joy of the LORDmy strength 09:10, 1 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of List of Jolin Tsai concerts[edit]

The article List of Jolin Tsai concerts has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable, unsourced list of concert tours and other concerts fails both WP:GNG and WP:CONCERT TOUR.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. November 2015[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Jolin Tsai. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a loss of editing privileges. Thank you. December 2015[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Jolin Tsai. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Leehsiao. All or some of your addition(s) to Hi! Working Girl has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 01:22, 31 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Vincenty846[edit]

Hello ! :D I'm user Vincenty846. I would like to ask on why my recent edits (which I have spent almost an hour editing) on Jolin Tsai's infobox and others have been deleted. Please lecture me on what I have done wrong as I am still somewhat new to wikipedia. (I am glad to listen and learn more :D). I have obtained the info in the infobox from the article in English and Chinese, as I am also an overseas Chinese that can read Intermediate level Chinese. I have used this template to make the infobox: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Infobox_Chinese-language_singer_and_actor. Since this template is endorsed by wikipedia itself, I thought that using this template is following procedure and not considered vandalism.

I do sincerely apologise if I have caused any disagreements and frustrations as I am only trying to contribute as much as I can to Wikipedia (especially things regarding Jolin Tsai, who is one of my favorite artists). Vincenty846 (talk) 22:56, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Jolin Tsai romanisation[edit]

Hi,

I think Pinyin should be there because it's not just the most widespread romanisation but it's the official romanisation of the ISO after all. Greetings, Oppashi Talk 10:41, 24 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Oppashi. As I said on you talk page, the Pinyin of her Mandarin Chinese name is already in the article's infobox, so in my opinion it's unnecessary to add Pinyin one more time in the first paragraph. However, if you still believe it's necessary to show Pinyin in the paragraph, just let me know and I can help you put it back. Thank you. ---- Leehsiao (talk) 21:28, 24 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I indeed believe it's necessary because it's the most widely recognised and spread romanisation. It's the standard in China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, the ISO, and the UN. Oppashi Talk 10:16, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Oppashi, I put the pinyin back. Thanks. ---- Leehsiao (talk) 21:35, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Problem about 許富凱 page[edit]

Hello. I guess I have an issue about zh:許富凱. A user claimed that the singer created his own studio after he left his former management company. The user left the source with it. But the user said that "his own studio 凱聲影藝 is considered as a management company". However there's no other third-party source for saying that his own studio as a management company.[1] If someone makes an edit you disagree with the, the default position is not to revert then discuss. It's to engage in discussion first.2402:1980:248:2E2A:769E:C95F:FA91:BCBD (talk) 14:00, 29 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Contributions/2402:1980:248:2E2A:769E:C95F:FA91:BCBD: Hi, so far I think his studio is just his management company, a lot of Chinese-language artists found his own studio/company to let all staff focus on one artist's career, and according to the news [2], the company is used for his music production, visual styling, music video production, and planning & promotion. If you want to make sure, you can look at his upcoming album's credits to see if his management company is Kai Entertainment (凱聲影藝). Thanks. ----Leehsiao (talk) 21:45, 29 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

News at 7:30 moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, News at 7:30, is not suitable as written to remain published. It is entirely unsourced. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. scope_creepTalk 20:48, 6 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
