Two Qiaos[edit]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. --Nlu (talk) 02:26, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Question re: Dongtuna, Ahuinan[edit]

Hello. I noticed on the Dongtuna and Ahuinan articles that you moved them from "Dong Tuna"[1] and "Ahui Nan"[2] on the basis that "Dong" is not a surname (you provided no rationale for Ahuinan). CEDICT, for one, lists 董 as a surname[3], so can you provide any references to indicate that Dongtuna's "Dong" and Ahuinan's "Ahui" really aren't their surnames? Thanks. -Amake (talk) 02:33, 28 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid I can't provide any references. Both of them are fictional characters in the historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms. According to the story, they're Nanman people, a non Han Chinese ethnic group. The Chinese surnames that I was referring to are those of Han Chinese people and Sinicized Chinese ethnic groups. The Nanman of that time do not belong to either of these two. I believe that "Ahuinan" and "Dongtuna" are transcribed Nanman names in the Chinese language. The same applies for the other Nanman characters in the novel, such as Wutugu, Mangyachang etc. Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 02:03, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Zhang Yi[edit]

Hi, I'm wondering why you made this move? I don't think there are other strategists in the disambig. Kayau Voting IS evil 14:24, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well, there're a number of Zhang Yis in Chinese history, so I thought it'd be good to distinguish them in their respective article titles by using the period that they lived in. Exceptions would be the three Zhang Yis from the Three Kingdoms period, and the present day triathlete. I think the term "strategist" is too broad and generic. They're military strategists, political strategists, business strategists etc. Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 02:12, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
From WP:QUALIFIER: 'The disambiguator is usually a noun indicating what the person is noted for being.'. Also, you added the other people tag, but the title has a clear disambiguator (WP:NAMB) so why is it necessary? Kayau Voting IS evil 04:05, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I find it odd if Zhang Yi (Warring States Period) is differentiated from the other four historical Zhang Yis by his occupation. And again, I think "strategist" is too broad. I also noticed that on Chinese Wikipedia, historical figures with the same names are usually differentiated by the period they lived in. I don't object to moving the page back to Zhang Yi (strategist), but still, I hope you can take my points into consideration.
Your second point makes sense, but I'll still keep the other people tag as a means of de-orphaning the dab page. The tag is useful because it also helps to increase awareness about similarly named articles (or people, in this case). Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 06:15, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
If 'strategist' is too broad, maybe 'military strategist' would be better. IMO it's more important to comply with WP norms than to remove ambiguity, since the purpose of disambiguators is to disambiguate and the simplest way of disambiguating should be employed.
Please note that disambiguation pages can be orphaned (WP:ORPH). I agree that the tag may help to increase awareness about similarly named articles, but please consider this: would a person looking for warring states info care about the three kingdoms? Probably not. Also, people who come looking for this Zhang Yi and are unfamiliar to WP would likely type in 'Zhang Yi' in the search box, and that would lead to the disambig. Since we should put readers first, I believe any hatnotes that cannot aid the reader should be removed. Kayau Voting IS evil 14:35, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Alright then. Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 17:11, 31 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your compliment and invitation. I've a very keen interest in Chinese history, but the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms Period is not one of my "specialties". Empress Zhang's death year[edit]

Do you have a source for it? Nothing I have read so far suggests that she died at the time that her family was executed. --Nlu (talk) 16:23, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I added the death year after checking out Chinese Wikipedia. You can remove it if you think it's wrong. Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 16:26, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, I will remove it (apologies); I don't think there's enough reliable information here to indicate that she died that year. --Nlu (talk) 16:47, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm currently working on User:Lonelydarksky/Sandbox/List of people of the Three Kingdoms as well. I'm planning to replace the current one with it when I'm done. What do you think? Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 16:49, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Looks very nice. Although I must say, I am pessimistic about list articles for the most part, because they tend to degenerate over time, but hopefully this will remain good. --Nlu (talk) 16:51, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I agree that it has a lot of room for improvement. I still haven't thought about what should be added in the description column. There's also a lot of misleading information about birth and death years and present-day locations of ancestral homes on the Internet. List of people of the Three Kingdoms[edit]

Hi there. I'm sorry to bother you, but just out of curiosity, why did you remove Zhai Yuan from Cao Wei's list? Is he under another name already or something? --Turner1987 (talk) 21:39, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, his name was written wrongly in Chinese as 翟淵. It should be 翟元 instead. No wonder I couldn't find any 翟淵 from the Three Kingdoms period elsewhere. I've added back the correct name. Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 03:56, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You might be amused[edit]

It seems only fitting that a few weeks before my visit to China I get an email from the Emperor of China - User:Himyaosui. He seems upset that people with less knowledge than he has are having more influence on deletions. Dougweller (talk) 19:16, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it's indeed amusing. Egypt's modern pharaoh was overthrown just recently, and now I hear of a self-proclaimed modern Chinese emperor. I wonder if he's related in any way to HIM Yongle the Great. Yongle's been quiet for some time. :) Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 13:33, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
One question, what about the people listed on this page? Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 13:40, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I think there are some BLP problems here. I've started Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hengkai. I think the red-linked names should be removed as there are no sources, and I'm similarly concerned with some of the names at Aisin Gioro. Dougweller (talk) 14:44, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Is Zhu Yunzhong notable enough for an article? I can't find a source saying he is the Ming heir. Dougweller (talk) 14:49, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
There's a ref on Zhu Yunzhong that says he's a descendant of the Hongwu Emperor. It's an article from TIME, so I think it should be reliable. As for Hengkai, I think you can give the article's creator some time to find sources. Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 14:57, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Henkai was created almost 4 years ago, and its creator hardly ever edits anymore. As for Zhu Yunzhong, I can't find anything that says he is the Ming heir, although he is a descendant of the Hongwu emperor I agree. Is every descendant notable? But we'd need a RS to say he was the Ming heir. Dougweller (talk) 18:53, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fictional people from the 3K[edit]

Should the fictional characters from the 3K era get List of fictional people of the Three Kingdoms in their see also sections instead of List of people of the Three Kingdoms?--Turner1987 (talk) 18:00, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. I think it's good to include both lists in the see also sections instead of only the fictional one. Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 13:18, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm on it. --Turner1987 (talk) 05:39, 6 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New article created mainly by copying other articles - without attribution, so copyvio problem but I'm also concerned about the sources. Not enough though to work on it myself right now I'm afraid. What do you think? Please reply on my talk page. Thanks. Dougweller (talk) 08:34, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

WP:RED and other preferences[edit]

These are mostly a preference thing, but I prefer leaving the red links in articles so that new articles can be more easily created, and can reduce the linking workload when they do get created. I also prefer to leave Chinese names in full since the commonness of Chinese surnames can sometimes confuse readers. Thanks for hearing me out. _dk (talk) 17:09, 5 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Lonelydarksky,

In Lianzhai Zhiyi, there is no story called Qian Nu You Hun. There is however a piece that is usually entitled 聂小倩. See http://baike.baidu.com/view/47262.htm, for instance. The original piece I think is titleless. 220.255.1.22 (talk) 17:36, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ouch. Major warning: the Chinese wikipedia is even more inaccurate about TK stuff than the English one! Irony, I know. But people keep on trying to put random stuff and folk legends as fact. Weird, isn't it?

It's both tragic and ironic to learn that Chinese Wikipedia is even more inaccurate on Three Kingdoms articles than the English one. Actually, some of the English articles used to be translated from Chinese Wikipedia, or directly copied and pasted from unreliable websites such as kongming.net. It was due to the efforts of User:EkmanLi and others that the quality of Three Kingdoms articles has improved by a lot. Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 16:13, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Editing 'Yung Quyun" article[edit]

I am the person who first posted the "Yeung Kui Wan (Yang Quyun)" article, which you transferred to 'Yang Quyun'.

While I applaud you in much that you have done to improve it, I query why did you cut out all the text which covers the story after the death of Yang Quyun:

  • The fact that his memorial is un-named - with just a number, at his request
  • The attempt to get his remains reburied along with those of other revolutionists

Rather than my simply putting these sections back in only for you to delete them, can we find a solution to having these 'aspects' posted somewhere/somehow on Wikipedia. I ask this out of respect for your obvious erudition. Duncan.france (talk)

Thank you for your comments on my editing. When I first saw the page as it was on 10 July 2011, I was quite taken aback by its untidy state. I decided to clean it up (as I usually do to untidy articles that are of interest to me), using Chinese Wikipedia as a basic reference. In the process, I inadvertently eliminated certain details, which include those you've listed above. Of course, you're free to make any changes to the article at any time you wish. The Deer & The Cauldron[edit]

Hey. Here's a music video I think you might enjoy, of promoting Hu Ge's The Deer & the Cauldron. Also, I made a mistake, it is not a theatrical movie, but a online film featuring cast and crew members of the two tv shows Startling by Each Step and The Legend of the Condor Heroes (2008 TV series), trying to pomote both series with this online movie. Also, I hope you like the new version of the DVD cover of The Return of the Condor Heroes (2006 TV series) -NeoBatfreak (talk) 23:38, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fengshen Yanyi / Fengshen Bang[edit]

I don't necessary object to the name Fengshen Bang, and I know it is a common name, and most television adaptations use this name, but the article is about "a book", and most printed editions use the name Fengshen Yanyi, and searching google books also shows this. Thus I think it is a far more suitable title for an article about a book. It would be wrong to rename a book's title to its colloquial version, and not its printed name.--Sevilledade (talk) 09:46, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You've a point there about Fengshen Yanyi being the official title, but I'm afraid WP:COMMONNAME overrides that. Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 10:15, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Flying Fox of Snowy Mountain template[edit]

Shouldn't The Book and the Sword be part of the new template? I mean, chronologically, it is a first part of the next two books.--NeoBatfreak (talk) 21:08, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No, the link between The Book and the Sword and the Flying Fox novels isn't that straightforward. We can't say they're linked just because characters from one novel appear in another. If we go by the same reasoning, shouldn't we say that Sword Stained with Royal Blood and The Deer and the Cauldron are linked? I prefer to keep the The Book and the Sword and Flying Fox templates separate from each other. Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 13:18, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Renaming 'Yang Quyun' article[edit]

As the main editor of the above article, I am asking your advice re. how to change Yang Quyun's name (and consequently the article) to 'Yeung Kui-wan'.

I have been approached very strongly by Yeung's nephew, Yeung Hing-on, who asked me to get Yeung Kui-wan (Yang Quyun)'s name better known. His position is that Yeung Kui-wan's name reflects his South China origin. I can understand his sensibility in that all his family is known as 'Yeung' and the wholesale transformation of this into 'Yang' is really cultural piracy! I can also quote that Sun Yat-sen is known by that name, not by 'Sun Zhong-shan' nor by 'Sun Wen'.

I have already prepared a replacement article wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Duncan.france/sandbox which will have a section on Names. I have also prepared corrections for the relevant parts of the Sun Yat-sen, Chiang Kai-shek, and Furen Literary Society articles.

As a Redirect already exists for Yeung Kui-wan, please advise how I can change that to the full-fledged 'Yeung Kui Wan' article. I will then convert the 'Yang Quyun' article to a Redirect to the new 'Yeung Kui-wan' article. It would be great if you would advise me soon as I am meeting with Yeung Kui-wan's nephew very soon. Duncan.france (talk) 20:58, 6 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Would you like me to help you with the move instead? I've no objections to using "Yeung Kui-wan" as the article's title, but it would be great if you can produce some evidence on Yeung Hing-on's preference in using "Yeung Kui-wan". Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 14:08, 9 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Evidence for Yeung Kui-wan descendent preferring that spelling[edit]

I have a couple of e-mails from descendents of Yeung Kui-wan which underline the preference for the usage of that romanisation.

The text of a old e-mail is as follows:

On Mon, Sep 5, 2011 at 8:48 AM, Adrian Yeung [brother of Yeung Hing-on] <adrianyeung@XXXX.hk>
> wrote:
>

> The main reason is that you can chase after
> from history with original name, hope you can change it back
> Regards / Adrian

The last one (see below) includes an image of a memo to Tse Tsan-tai (謝纘泰; pinyin: Xie Zuantai), the treasurer of the Furen Literary Society, from Yeung Kui-wan using the 'Yeung Kui-wan' spelling.

>2011/9/10 Adrian Yeung <adrianyeung@XXXX.hk>
>Dear Duncan,
>1, please see photo 1 showing Yeung 's letter to Tse with his own signature by Yeung kui-wan
>2, The other two enclosed South China Morning Post for your update reference showing SCMP using same original name
> Adrian
> 主題︰ 寫給謝纘泰信中的簽名
> 今傳上附件證明楊衢雲的英文名寫法,其中最重要的證明是他寫給謝纘泰信中的簽名。南華早報已用他簽名的串法。

As you can see from the above, Yeung's descendents' position is really that the spelling of his name should respect historic usage (rather than avoiding "cultural piracy". That was my spin...).

Hope that this is sufficient to convince you that the spelling change should hold. If so, I will be grateful for your help in carrying out the 'Name of article change' Duncan.france (talk) 07:10, 10 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

星 (Star) or (精) (Jing) ?[edit]

Hi Lonelydarksky,

I believe it is best that I leave a message here rather than keep changing what each thinks is correct.

You stick to your 吸星大法, despite that it does not correlate to the explanation that follows, which you consistently ignore, because you can't sweep it under the carpet explicitly. I can see that the article is mainly written by you, so understandably you have an attachment to its integrity as you see it. However, one should not be chained to a single printed word as gospel. Reading the novel for its meaning, not for it misspelled printed words. It may be inconsequential to Western readers of Wiki as an obscure snippet of Chinese's mysticism, but what I am trying here is to promote a better understanding of a piece of Chinese's concept. As a Chinese as you said, you should be intimately familiar with the concept of Jing 精. How does one "sucking up star" has meaning in this (fictional) martial arts context? A westerner who read your word will say:" Wow! the Chinese martial artists who practice 吸星大法 are awesome! They sucking up the stars in the sky, and their opponents mysteriously drained of energy!" (rigorous head scratching follows). Don't you agree? I leave it to you, including consultation with 查良, to know what HE meant. I already knew. otherwise, all I can do is to shake my head in your obvious stubbornness to portrait the true meaning of his creation, and misled Wiki readers..no harm done in the real world, right? Who cares what Westerners may learn, right?.

I rest my case. Life is short, but the years are long! (talk) 18:33, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm relieved to see that you've agreed to back out from what appears to be an edit war between the two of us. I'm afraid I must disappoint you because I'm not familiar with the concept of Jing (精), or Qi, which I think is a more accurate term that suits your definition of Jing. I believe every person with a rational mind who reads that part on 吸星大法 in the article would not simply just read the name of that skill and come to a conclusion without reading the accompanying explanation. As I've said earlier, 吸星大法 is just a name for that skill. I don't see any point in making a big fuss out of it just because the name doesn't fit the description of how the skill is used. Besides, the description does not say anything about the practitioner using the skill to suck up stars in the sky. Yes, of course, there's no harm done in the real world. After all, 吸星大法 is probably just an additional piece of knowledge for fans of wuxia novels. If any Westerner does attempt to use 吸星大法 in real life after reading the article, then he or she may need to visit a psychiatrist. Hi Dave! This isn't the first time you appeared out of nowhere on my talk page, am I right? Is my talk page on your watchlist or something? Thanks for your comment anyway. Yes, I know how 吸星大法 works in 笑傲江湖. The whole issue started at Linghu Chong#Martial arts and skills, when a certain (skeptical) editor insisted on changing text directly quoted from a novel that has been published since the 1960s so as to cater to the alleged ignorance of Western readers. Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 04:13, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Wow! I really didn't know that skeptics could actually read novels?!? BTW, I have never, ever heard of “吸精大法” (but I've heard of “吸金大法”!), apart from those I've heard about from my firends who went (starlight... starbright...) to Taiwan. According to the actual sources, the whole process takes place in the middle of nowhere, in a small van with mattressess placed inside and directly involving a woman and a man in... whoops! Got carried away there but you get the picture, I think. --Dave ♠♣♥♦™№1185©♪♫® 13:01, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
When I first saw the change from 吸星大法 to 吸精大法 I thought it was a deliberate error, because 吸精, well, translates to "sucking 精". And where does a man's 精 come from? I believe you know what I mean. It's a pity that I don't have a chance to go for ex starlight. Yeah, I heard a lot of stories from the regulars about the xmms there. Mishaps at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2011 September 1[edit]

Some of the redirects created by User:Sinosphere that you added on September 1 to RfD did not come through on the discussion page, because they were somehow overwritten by subsequent additions (see, e.g., this diff). As far as I saw this concerns the following pages:

Additionally, it seems that you never actually listed 中华文化, which I've now proposed for speedy deletion.  --Lambiam 09:50, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for informing me. So what's going to happen to these redirects? Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 09:54, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Nothing, unless someone effectively puts them up for deletion. FYI, speedy deletion of 中华文化 was declined for reasons I don't understand – I would think that all redirects to Culture of China have materially the same content.  --Lambiam 18:17, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Message from User:NNU-10-03100303[edit]

Hi guy! Why did you just replaced my translation of Song of strong wind? I do aprreciate your work to improve my idea, but I don't think your translation is better than me and also I find some mistakes in it. Do you really get the real meaning of the poem?

Greetings to you, friend. It appears that you're new to Wikipedia, so I assume you're not familiar with WP:MOS. Here's the reasons why I changed your edit. First, you inserted information about the poem as a subsection under "Reign", which I don't agree with. It should be a section by itself, just like Xiang Yu's Song of Gaixia. Second, the source you provided (http://www.guoxue.com/art/ss000/hvsc001/dfg005.htm) is in Chinese, which gives me an impression that you translated the text yourself. Although it is not wrong for editors to translate text from a non-English source to a page on English Wikipedia, there is a possibility that other editors may disagree with the translation and this results in some form of dispute. Third, your translation doesn't seem grammatically correct, even though there are Chinese translations on Wikipedia that face this problem as well, but are ignored or accepted. Returning to hometown while my power covers the way sounds weird, because it's not possible for power to cover the way, and returning to hometown is missing a "my" (should be returning to my hometown instead). As for How can I make the vigorous men to guard the four frontiers all obey?, I'd prefer it to be something like How can I make the vigorous men who guard the four frontiers all obey?. Yes, I do understand the meaning of the song. Can you point out the mistakes you find in my translation? One more thing, as User:Wctaiwan had pointed out in the edit summary, a published, citable translation would solve the problem. Perhaps you'd like to find one? We'll then stick to it. I'll do it. Well, aren't both series have antagonists who are so powerful that nearly destroyed the world? It kinda reminds me of the American TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.--NeoBatfreak (talk) 06:58, 12 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Apocalyptic fiction is under the broader category of science fiction. Works in this genre usually go along the lines of something scientific that causes the end of the world, things like natural disasters, nuclear war, alien attack, zombie holocaust etc. Chinese Paladin is more related to mythology, fantasy and wuxia rather than science fiction, therefore it does not belong to apocalyptic fiction. Anything that has something to do with the end of the world does not necessarily falls under this genre. Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 07:06, 12 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, someone (not me, because I have not watch all the episodes due to I haven't got the DVDs), has written a plot summary of Startling by Each Step. I haven't watched it either. Why don't you start trimming it first? I feel that about half of its current length should do fine. Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 13:05, 18 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'll try, if I can stop the fans from adding more. From what I read, they have serious problems with grammer than me. When I first seeing it, I got an impression that they use their knowledge from the novel than from the TV show, since most of it reported to be faithful to the original story by Tong Hua excepts the ending. I just wish that they put it on the novel's page instead. At least I didn't put the exact details of how Huang Qiao'er decides to accepts her widowhood after her husband's death or how Lin Mufei would move and find love with Zhao Jiayi on A Weaver on the Horizon. I'm gonna print it and figure out how to generalize the summary this weekend. I'll try to made it five paragrahs long as I did with A Weaver on the Horizon.--NeoBatfreak (talk) 07:28, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate the initiative you've been taking in moving the article names - I have wanted to do it myself for quite a while. But I do want to invite you to take part in the discussion that I began here on Qing Dynasty titles so we can all reach some sort of stable consensus on this matter. New frontlines in the war against erroneous and unsourced birth and death years[edit]

Hi Lonelydarksky, since we have been working together in reverting unsourced birth and death years for Three Kingdoms people, I should tell you that the IPs who have been inserting these years have spread their evil influences to the articles for year numbers as well (like 192, 234, etc). I have reverted them as best I can, but since I can foresee myself being busy for the next month, I ask you to keep an eye on those IPs (it's easier if you check their user contributions when they insert the fictional years into the biographical articles) and revert their edits on year articles if their additions don't match up with the biographical articles' birth and death years. Thank you! and ask me if you have any doubts =) _dk (talk) 16:52, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. I've a habit of checking user contributions, especially for IP editors and vandals. Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 03:38, 3 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I just added the family tree template on the Condor Trilogy related pages. Feel free to check them all out, maybe having your friend Newfraferz87 make them better or something.--NeoBatfreak (talk) 06:54, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Done, hope you like it.--NeoBatfreak (talk) 07:01, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings![edit]

I just joined your Water Margin project! I have been wanting to work on Chinese literature (and philosophy) on wikipedia. Maybe if I help you with your project you can help me 三国演义 later? That is my favorite classical Chinese book! I am a new editor but I know Wikipedia's process pretty well, I just need somebody to help me to figure out where to start and how to go about things. I figured your project might be able  :) --Shadowy Sorcerer (talk) 05:33, 13 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for joining WikiProject Water Margin! There's already a WikiProject Three Kingdoms that you can join. I look forward to working closely with you in future. Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 03:06, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hope it is okay for you[edit]

Of creating new subcategories within Category:Films set in the Song Dynasty and Category:Television series set in the Song Dynasty. Also, of the Condor Trilogy characters pages, I've made minor edits.--NeoBatfreak (talk) 06:13, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, almost everything is fine. I've already made edits to those areas that I don't agree with. As I've mentioned earlier, almost all the pages related to Condor Trilogy are on my watchlist. You don't need to leave messages on my talk page all the time to keep me updated on any changes to the articles. Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 13:13, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

步步驚心 電視劇原聲音樂大碟[edit]

Here the download for Startling by Each Step OST (步步驚心 電視劇原聲音樂大碟) You can find the tracklist from the article, both English and Chinese version. Hope you like it. Also, I am increasingly frustrated that other people edited the article's summary without proper grammar, spelling, and details. I did not write the summary, because I'm waiting to get the Taiwanese version DVDs, yet did my best to correct it, and resort with my word processor to do grammar check. I don't know what to do.--NeoBatfreak (talk) 08:49, 21 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the link. That's exactly the problem when there's a lengthy and quite detailed plot summary. This opens up more "exposed areas" for people to randomly add redundant and superfluous details. Good luck with the corrections. I've another piece of advice for you: Creating too many categories for the same subject is not necessarily helpful to readers. Over-categorisation may sometimes confuse people. Lonelydarksky (暗無天日) contact me (聯絡) 14:09, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I hope you like the soundtrack, because right now you can't get it on YesAsia.com. I just e-mail with them, and they said that their suppliers do not have it despites its already release around Asia.--NeoBatfreak (talk) 19:49, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Jiaqing Emperor, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mianning (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
