Arbeter/Arbayter[edit]

Hi Laplandian. I noticed your move of Arbayter Fraynd to Arbeter Fraynd, i.e. correct Yiddish, but wrong transcription of the title. I have written why I put it there in the first place in the talk page there - maybe you could have a look and see what you think. BobFromBrockley 12:51, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for putting in the time on this. I also noticed the excellent work you did on the Anarchism and Judaism page and at the info shop wikipedia on Jewish anarchism. Keep it up! BobFromBrockley 10:29, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Yuri Mamin.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Yuri Mamin.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 09:05, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:Katerina Ksenyeva.jpg needs authorship information.[edit]

Dear uploader:

The media file you uploaded as File:Katerina Ksenyeva.jpg appears to be missing information as to its authorship (and or source), or if you did provide such information, it is confusing for others trying to make use of the image.

It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer.

Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided),authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).

  • If you created this media yourself, please consider explicitly including your user name, for which:{{subst:usernameexpand|Laplandian}} will produce an appropriate expansion,
    or use the {{own}} template.
  • If this is an old image, for which the authorship is unknown or impossible to determine, please indicate this on the file description page.
If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 09:32, 16 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Judaism's view of Jesus[edit]

Your edits to Judaism's view of Jesus were excellent, providing a wealth of information. However, the current crop of senior administrators are adamant about wanting external published sources, especially ones that are internet accessible, rather than your own obvious scholarship. If you go back and add external references, I for one would support the additions as helping make it a quality article.--DeknMike (talk) 04:40, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

July 2011[edit]

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Judaism's view of Jesus. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Jayjg (talk) 04:33, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I did cite a reasonable number of reliable sources which indicate that the opinions I mentioned are neither original research nor novel synthesis. I could add more reliable sources. In the contrary, this censoring looks like pushing a biased personal opinion. I dispute the neutrality of this article. Laplandian (talk) 04:46, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You drew a large number of conclusions based on your own analysis of various primary sources, many of which did not even mention Jesus, much less Judaism's view of him. What you must do instead is reproduce the theories and arguments of reliable secondary sources about Judaism's view of Jesus, which is the topic of the article in question. Please click on the links provided in the previous sentence, and also review WP:NOR and WP:SYNTH. Jayjg (talk) 04:56, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
My section on positive views on Jesus explained the views of two mainstream rabbis, Jacob Emden and Elijah Benamozegh. Their views are well known and often cited by Jewish supporters of religious pluralism. There is nothing new or original about it. This article includes a theoretical discussion about Jewish monotheism, Trinity, etc. which doesn't mention Jesus either. By your logic, either my additions are relevant or the whole theological section of this article should be deleted. Meanwhile, I did provide exact references to mainstream Hasidic and Kabbalistic sources, as well as academic research on the topic. Laplandian (talk) 05:09, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Let's continue this discussion on the article's Talk: page, where it belongs. Jayjg (talk) 05:27, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for September 4[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Yiddish grammar, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Double Negative (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Disambiguation link notification for November 21[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Birobidzhaner Shtern, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page A3 (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
