Great work!

Can you adjust your image, please? It's Co(III) but you've assigned 2+ to the cobalt center. You can actually draw it without any explicit charges, with a bond (dative) bond between the cobalt centers and the nitrogen donors, and dotted bonds between the Os and the shared Hs. It'd be nice to have a larger image as well, and perhaps a transparent background.

Thanks for working on the structure, but the charges are still not balanced. There are two negative charges and one 3+ charge. The chloride ligand has a formal charge of -1, but you rightly depicted it with a single bond. Why don't you try removing all formal charges from the structures, and delocalize the O-H<--O bonds? --Rifleman 82 (talk) 15:18, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oh yes I'm sorry that I missed that, I'll change that now. By the way, I tried to produce a transparent background, but the only software I can access to is ChemSketch and therefore I cannot/don't know how to produce a .svg or an image with transparent background. It's nice to have a transparent background but that's not the most important thing. I use the most recent version of ChemSketch (I'm a fan), and I am able to export PNGs at 720 px resolution. --Rifleman 82 (talk) 21:41, 15 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Coordination cmpd[edit]

Kind of small point (that I also learned recently): things like [Ag(py)4]SO4 are not really coordination compounds, but are salts of coordination complexes. This language seems picky, I know. So I guess CrCl3(H2O)3 is a coordination compound, but [Cr(H2O)6]Cl3 is the chloride salt of a coordination complex. BTW, do you have access to Greenwood and Earnshaw? Since I have limited accessible resources about the issue, I can only do my best by taking reference from the only book I possess which has mentioned about the molecule (Principles of Biochemistry, by Donald & Judith Voet, Charlotte Pratt), therefore if you have any additional information about it please let me know, you can either edit the article yourself, or I can help you to organize and write the stuffs. Redirects[edit]

I've created a few chemistry-related redirects you proposed at WP:AfC/R. Thanks for your good work! I wonder, though: Is there a reason you don't create the redirects yourself? You obviously know the chemistry (better than me; I just rubber-stamp what you propose), and the AfC process is only required for IP editors who cannot create new pages on their own. Well as you can see I often make some kind of mistakes up there, and I think I am still not familiar enough with the system, therefore I would like to gain enough experience before I do anything that mess things up, and receive comments from the more experienced users as they review on my work. [NiCl4]2-[edit]

Referring to this file:

It is suggested that the third test tube contains an aqueous [NiCl4]2-. This ion is blue, and my guess is that this ion is unstable in water. So I might remove the image from various articles until we can confirm what this sample is. Thanks, --Smokefoot (talk) 14:56, 28 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the very late reply and disappearance as I was deadly busy these days...but anyway I tried that again, with excess 12M HCl (aq) to NiSO4·6 H2O, the color is still as photographed and demonstrated, should I remove the controversial test tube to avoid confusion and misinformation?
