Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ponta Grossa, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Work (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Climate[edit]

Hi. Please do not add options of 'green rain' to the weatherboxes. Consensus requires the withdrawal of this color from weatherboxes, not adding. Subtropical-man (talk / en-2) 22:58, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Are you familiar with the concept that Wikipedia articles should be based on reliable, published sources? Please do not change statements that are supported by sources like those in the article on Donetsk to what you think they ought to say (but which the cited sources do not say). I see that you are editing very many articles to change the climate, taking next to no time on each. Do you think it would be a good idea if someone used roll-back to revert the lot? Toddy1 (talk) 14:17, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I should change the reference. The wrong reference was before. But I did not check. Now I've corrected by putting the right reference. --Kubaski (talk) 15:02, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

PS. Your changes (green rain) have been reverted. Regarding this, discussion and voting has already been. There is no agreement to use green color. If you do not stop your activities, I will register your account for blocking. Subtropical-man (talk / en-2) 01:28, 14 November 2018

Discussion and voting is here: Template talk:Weather box/Archive 6. No consensus to use green as an additional option. There is consensus for: blue background to snow, violet background to low temperature (now is blue, required changes in the template), red background to high temperature (no change). If you want changes, try to improve Template:Weather box for violet background to low temperature (now is blue). Subtropical-man (talk / en-2) 14:32, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Wording at Mohe, Heillongjiang[edit]

Regarding your edits while logged out:

  1. The chinaculture.org source you added (which I have retained as additional citation for the −52.3 °C record low), does not mention Siberia or Russia other than in terms of the cold and dry winter monsoon.
  2. "according with" is not idiomatic English (there is no Wiktionary entry), "according to" is.
  3. It is redundant to state winter with temperatures [capable of] falling below −50 °C, when, just a few sentences later, the extreme low is −52.3 °C. CaradhrasAiguo (leave language) 00:12, 28 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Weather Atlas' climate data[edit]

Hello Mr.Kubaski,

Thank You for recognizing and using our data as relevant for updating Wikipedia articles.

I guess you have been manually updating weatherboxes with the data.

If you are interested in continuing using our data, we can provide you with the necessary code for updating articles (example below) that would make your venture much easier.

Just let me know if you are interested, and we can work out the details.

Thanks again

Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks![edit]

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.

Thank you!

Template:Schemebox[edit]

Hi, I like the template you did. Only have one question. Where do you get the exact name of the climate on the Neef system? I recently created an article on Climate of Porto and used your template, but the Neef system is missing. I saw from the Climate of New York that this website is used [6] but it doesn't have the exact designation of the climate. I'm going to guess Porto is between the "Mediterranean" classification and the "oceanic" classification looking at that map but I don't know the exact name Neef gives to those climates. Do you know?
