I think your arguments have some merit and have taken it to Deletion Review at Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2008 August 6#Tom Manion to get more opinions on the correct course of action to take. If you have rewritten the article I would suggest posting it in your userspace e.g. at User:Ksmithbca/Tom Manion and posting on the deletion review a link to it so that other editors can see it and make a decision based on that version. Davewild (talk) 18:46, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The deletion review agreed to relist the original AFD which happened here - Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tom Manion. As you can see from the closure I'm afraid that it was decided that a seperate article should not exist at this time. Davewild (talk) 18:34, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
