Thank you for starting the article. I think we may need to move it to Antonio Martínez (priest) and disambiguate it with the soccer player. I look forward to your efforts. As you can see from my user contributions, New Mexican history is a favorite of mine. My only suggestions is that rather than bolding proper names, link them within wiki (as I did with Lamy in your article -- I wrote the current Lamy article on the encyclopedia). For a while we've needed a Manuel Armijo article, since he comes up again and again (see Taos Revolt, Manuel Antonio Chaves, etc.). Also, there are a few articles on New Mexicans that need serious work -- Kit Carson, and the first ever article that I wrote Ceran St. Vrain, which I have sadly neglected for a while. For some NM bio-historical articles that need to be created, please see List of Governors of New Mexico, Governors of New Mexico Territory, and Spanish governors of New Mexico. If you are interested in religion, you may see ways to improve Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Santa Fe. If history is more your bag, there is plenty of work to be done on Spanish missions in New Mexico. There is currently no information on the Santa Fe Ring on wikipedia, not even in the Thomas Benton Catron article, if you'd like to help out there. And if you like, there are plenty of NM-related topics listed under "tasks" at Wikipedia:WikiProject Mexican-Americans/Chicanos. There are also many gaps in the geography of New Mexico. I am rather concerned

that the picture - that I believe was uploaded by you - of Juan de Oñate in his article is from the cover of Marc Simmons book The Last Conquistador]] and was painted by the artist Jose Cisneros - who as far as I know is still alive. Hello, even if the image is self-made, you still need to pick a copyright tag. Let me put it this way: if I were to take that image and crop, it either could become mine (if you make it public domain for example) or I may be required to keep the license (GFDL or Creative Commons or other licenses). Any additions not previously discussed WILL BE REMOVED and may be reported as vandalism. It is not appropriate to list when Bart Simpson says his name or yet another band writes a song. Please note that trivia additions, whether they are called "Trivia", "Popular culture", "Further information" or any other similar title, are discouraged on Wikipedia and, as in your addition to this article, are likely to be removed. Further, the decision for articles within the scope of the WP:WikiProject Crime and Criminal Biography group has been to limit the listing of what essentially amounts to trivial and pop culture mention to those items which are notably and specifically about, or by, the person in question in film, tv, and literature and to avoid having, adding to, or starting, extensive and exhaustive lists of each and every time the person's name gets mileage in the entertainment field. These are largely articles about convicted murders and/or rapists and there is really no place in a fact-based, straight-forward article about someone who fits that description for inclusion of "fun facts" like mentions in songs, South Park or The Simpsons. ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

Hello, Kshanks. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
