February 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Kuru. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Matty Witty have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Sam Kuru (talk) 12:09, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Kuru, I am not advertise anything on wikipedia, I am writing about a musician in Uganda called Matty Witty, She is the daughter of Musician Joanita Kawalya, Is it ok to write about someone you have information about? Please let me know what I can do to write the article about her. Krialex21 (talk) 13:18, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am getting all the relevant source so that I can update the article with as many sources as I can. Thanks Krialex21 (talk) 13:34, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I would strongly advise keeping it in the draft space until you have completed the article is a way that is not promotional and is well-sourced. Sam Kuru (talk) 14:30, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, I have moved the page to the draft, I want you to review I and give me some pointers, and advise if I can now go on and move it to mainstream. Draft:Matilda Whitney Nakayima Krialex21 (talk) 11:30, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Krialex21, why did you move this article to main space? I think it will be tagged for deletion as promotional writing. Liz Read! Talk! 05:10, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thanks for contributing to the article Soldier of Fortune (video game). However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Most mirrors are clearly labeled as such, but some are in violation of our license and do not provide the correct attribution. Please help by adding alternate sources to the article you edited! If you need any help or clarification, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. Thank you. Hello Krialex21. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Krialex21. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Krialex21|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Liz Read! Talk! 05:10, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Liz. I am not expecting payment from this topic, I want to contribute to the resource I have been using for a long time. You can advise me what to do. I was advised by Kuru that I can put the article in draft until I finish editing it and adding all the sources. Krialex21 (talk) 06:23, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
