2004 Summer Olympics medal count per capita[edit]

Have you considered ranking on medals won based upon the number of participiants from each NOC? That would be an interesting stat also... --HJKeats (talk) 14:01, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Based on your idea, I intended to add also such calculation, but somebody delited the page 2004 Summer Olympics medal count per capita.Krefts (talk) 23:58, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki is simply an encyclopedia and we don't permit original research. i.e, we simply reports on what is. Not what should/could/may be better. Leave that to the primary research outlets of the world. --Madchester (talk) 00:03, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The editors of scientific yournals would not agree, that such calculation is an original research. Such calculations were published many times. Can I publish such a list, if I give a citation (international journal)? Krefts (talk) 00:17, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki is not a scientific journal. Nor is Wiki a platform to advance a personal position or analysis. Please read through WP:NOR for more details. --Madchester (talk) 00:49, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly, therefore something that does not fit into scientific journal due to lack of originality, should not be rejected in wikipedia for the reason, that it is an original analysis.Krefts (talk) 06:20, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A scientific journal does primary research. We don't permit primary research on Wikipedia per WP:NOT and WP:NOR. If you're still unsure about what constitutes primary/original research, you can leave a question on each of those policy talk pages. --Madchester (talk) 14:31, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm un-clear what constitutes original analysis!! By taking know facts and presenting them in a fashion to show factual data as does the table All-time Olympic Games medal table, is that considered original research. There are no external references in regards to table contents, only implied based upon other sources. --HJKeats (talk) 00:47, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article Central European Journal of Biology has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A search for references failed to find significant coverage in reliable sources to comply with notability requirements. This included web searches for news coverage, books, and journals, which can be seen from the following links:
Central European Journal of Biologynews, books, scholar
Consequently, this article is about a subject that appears to lack sufficient notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Proposed deletion of Lek (pharmaceutical company)[edit]

The article Lek (pharmaceutical company) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Galex (pharmaceutical company) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
