Yep, WP probably should have an article about this dog[edit]

It is this [1] dog, right? I may be able/willing to help, if you're interested. You can reply here, I'm watching this page (not 24/7). Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 10:16, 10 November 2020 (UTC) I would love some help! Thank you.[reply]

Btw, don't bother to change your username for now. If an article is created, you shouldn't edit it directly anyway. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 10:18, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Agree Unlike 99% of these types of articles, this dog actually seems notable. The only problem is WP:COI, because this owner could be seen as wanting to improve their dog's image. Thanks, SixulaTalk 14:00, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I am autistic. I also have PTSD. Kratu has changed my life in so many ways. I am not trying to improve his image. He has people around the world who love him and follow him. I think its factual and should be on here. He has made history. He has an inspiring and compelling story. He deserves his place. Thanks! Communication can be hard for me because of the autism.

I'll create it in the near future. Will comment here when I'm done. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 13:38, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you need to know any facts about him. age, breed, country where born etc.. please ask. Thank you for your kindness and help. It is much appreciated. I have photos that can be used. Are we allowed to email?

I'll get back to you this week, I have not forgotten. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 09:34, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Meanwhile, if you're interested, here's a starting point for WP-editing in general: WP:ADVENTURE and WP:TUTORIAL. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 09:36, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have noticed people are going off track with Kratu as they are referring to sources that are not correct. Some journalists make errors in their articles. He is an ambassador for apdawg at parliament. And for wetnose animal aid and for anna kennedy online and photizo red light therapy. He is not an emotional support dog and we are not involved in that. I was confused by where that came from. He is my assistance dog. I am autistic. He supports me performing specific tasks. I think peter purves got it in his commentary one year. We have assistance dogs here. The english equivalent of service dogs.People can always ask me for the correct information. I am as always indebted to you for your kindness helping with this. I am as always lost on how to talk on here. I hope you see this. Kind regards Tess Kratu the rescue dog (talk) 07:32, 18 June 2021 (UTC).[reply]

Hello again! Hope you and the flock (pack?) are well, I had my first shot (covid) last week.
Writing here works, I will probably notice it because this page (and the Kratu article) is on my WP:WATCHLIST. Instead of adding to a thread from last year you can also start a new discussion by clicking "New section" near the top of the page. You're as welcome as anybody to add comments and suggest sources at the article's talkpage Talk:Kratu (dog).
It is also possible to "ping" (WP:PING) a specific editor to get their attention. If you want to try that, you ping me by writing your message like this:
{{u|Gråbergs Gråa Sång}} texttexttext ~~~~
Write it as it appears above, nevermind the extra bits you see in the editing window. The "code" must all be made in the same published edit, otherwise it doesn't work. Done right, it will look like this:
Gråbergs Gråa Sång texttexttext Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 17:58, 18 June 2021 (UTC) but with your signature at the end.[reply]
A WP-article is meant to be (people sometimes make mistakes or ignore this), nearly exclusively, a summary of independent, reliably published sources on a topic. That is our policy WP:Verifiability, so "asking you" is not the WP-method. "Do you have a source for..?" is a better question.
I removed "worked as an emotional support dog (ESA) to dementia patients" and the other ESA bit, I checked the sources, and they didn't quite support it, one said "Kratu has also provided emotional support to university students, patients with dementia", which isn't exactly the same thing. I think an editor may have misinterpreted the source. I'm probably partly to blame.
" is "dog ambassador" for a British charity as of 2019." is sourced to this article, I assume that's correct? WP recommends "as of" writing instead of "now", "currently" etc. More organizations require independent sources who noticed, (at worst a webpage of the org may work). What do you have?
Hope this helps some. Btw, Kratu has a new fan, see User talk:RedFoxMonster. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 13:51, 18 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your thread has been archived[edit]

Teahouse logo

Hi Kratu the rescue dog! The thread you created at the Wikipedia:Teahouse, Good Morning. I need some help please!, has been archived because there was no discussion for a few days (usually at least two days, and sometimes four or more). You can still find the archived discussion here. If you have any additional questions that weren't answered then, please feel free to create a new thread.

The archival was done by Lowercase sigmabot III, and this notification was delivered by Muninnbot, both automated accounts. You can opt out of future notifications by placing {{bots|deny=Muninnbot}} here on your user talk page. Muninnbot (talk) 19:01, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

is now an article. Though not perfect, I hope you think it's ok. Per WP:Conflict of interest you should not edit it directly yourself, but if you want, you can suggest changes/sources at the talkpage Talk:Kratu (dog). Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Dogs can be a good place for asking questions about editing dog-articles on WP, and you already know about WP:TEAHOUSE.

A picture of Kratu could be a good addition to the article. However, WP takes copyright very seriously, and any picture of him already on the web somewhere is almost certainly under some sort of copyright.

So, if you want to "donate" a picture, this is the recommendation:

Choose one you have taken yourself but not published anywhere already. Then upload it with the process that starts HERE. That is a link to Commons, a sister-site to WP where we keep free images. Perhaps name it Kratu 2020 or something like that. You can then tell me it's done, and I'll add it to the article. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 21:45, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much indeed! I saw it today and I am so delighted and grateful. I will take a new photo and use that. It wasn't Wood Green ( they are only based in UK and do not get involved in foreign rescues) who was involved in the rescue it was all my doing. I arranged all of it and returned at a later date to rescue his mother Tutty and two more pups, one lives with us, Raffy. One of the articles about him got it wrong and others copied the mistake. We trained with them later on after he arrived. Before Crufts. You have no idea how much I appreciate your kindness. Thank you. Celia Blacu from Cluj, Transylvania was the one who took him to safety and fostered him until he had his vaccinations, got his passport and was the legal age of 16 weeks to travel. He was trained in the early weeks via Whatsapp. I recorded things, Celia played it to him. I had daily videos sent to me on which I commented with how to progress with his training.

Ok, I removed Wood Green from early life. Someone once asked Jimmy Wales what he thought about the WP-article about him, and he replied "It’s as right as the media about me is right." And that is, pretty much, as good as you can hope for around here. If the sources are wrong, WP will be wrong. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 14:09, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! I have a photo. Let me see if I can do this now. I have done it.
Kratu today.
I hope its okay.
Awww... Now it's in the article. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 15:59, 29 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I put him on my userpage, User:Gråbergs Gråa Sång, too. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 16:12, 29 November 2020 (UTC) I LOVE it, made me laugh out loud. Am I allowed to ask if you are on twitter? I did share his page. I love it so much. Thank you again.[reply]
You are absolutely allowed to ask, I'm not on twitter. Like many Wikipedians (not all), I prefer to be anonymous (well, pseudonymous), keeping my WP-stuff separate from other online-stuff. When you edit WP widely for a long time, you are likely to piss someone off sooner or later, so it can make things a little easier. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 19:15, 29 November 2020 (UTC) Made me smile. Thank you again.[reply]

I came on here with the express wish to wish you happiness during this season. I celebrate the older nature based ways. Thank you so much! Made me smile again. Happiness, health and a Kratu woof to you!
