Dean guitars[edit]

Hello and thanks for your recent activity to improve Dean guitar articles. I wanted to remind you that generally when editors makes changes to the articles, they are doing so in good faith and per Wikipedia policies. For example, Wikipedia requires articles to be sourced with independent, reliable sources - see Wikipedia:Verifiability. While the Dean web site is a good source for basic facts, if you are going to make claims about certain guitarists being "famous users" or similar, you need to be able to back that up with an independent source. An example would be a magazine article that says that guitarist is notable for playing Deans. So if someone adds a template to the section requesting sources, that is meant as a request for you to do so. If you can't, the section should be removed.

Categories[edit]

Howdy - there is no need to add Dean guitar articles to Category:Guitars. They are already in Category:Dean guitars which is a subset of Guitars. Make sense? --Spike Wilbury talk 22:20, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Same goes for Category:Dean guitars. It is currently a subset of Category:Electric guitars by manufacturer which eventually ends up under Guitars. No need to also add Guitars as a category.

Please do not vandalise pages on Wikipedia by piping links to inappropriate articles. Persistent vandalism of this kind may result in you being blocked from editing. Thanks DJR (T) 20:08, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
