Abortion in the US[edit]

Hi! I saw that you added a sentence to the article on abortion in the US. The sentence is fine, however you put it at the very top of the article, before the introduction sentence. It also didn't mesh with statistics included later in the article - you wrote that 25.5% of women sought out an abortion due to the cost of raising a child, however this portion of the article has that statistic at 21.3%. These findings are older, as they come from a 1998 study, however in order to update the information in the article we would need to have a reliable source that states this information. Ideally there would be an updated study that is covered in independent, secondary reliable sources. I've removed the sentence for the time being.

I also wanted to caution you that this article is held under sanctions. This essentially means that the article is one that is higher profile and can be a controversial topic as far as editing goes. As such, all content must be sourced with the strongest possible source and be written as neutrally as possible. If content is removed, it's important to discuss the edits and resolve any concerns or issues before reposting the material.

I hope this helps! Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 13:47, 16 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
