Comment by Hipocrite[edit]

"An edit war occurs when contributors, or groups of contributors, repeatedly revert each other's contributions." (emph mine). This would make it appear that one revert, unless it is by a member of "groups of contributors," cannot be edit warring. Have you examined the background of each of the reverts to determine there were "groups of contributors" reverting? Please cite your sources. Hipocrite (talk) 22:01, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hipocrite, I've moved your comment here, so that KC and I can have a direct communication on the other page. She and I have had a lot of trouble communicating, in part because other editors keep jumping in. If you'd like to make comments on the discussion, you're welcome to do so, but please keep them here at the talkpage? Thanks, --Elonka 22:04, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Examining the first edit - the one to Orgone is not an edit war. The following edit, by KC,[1], made within 3 minutes, rectifies the dispute, and remains in the article without dispute afterwards. It appears that you are not doing the requisite research to back your claims, Elonka. Please do so, in the future. What methodology did you use to find the listed diffs, exactly? Hipocrite (talk) 21:55, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I searched through KC's contribs, looking for all locations where she had reverted other editors on an article, paying special attention to edits in the pseudoscience topic area. Most of the reverts were within religion-related areas, but Intelligent Design and Agnosticism and whatnot don't really fall within the scope of the pseudoscience case, so I didn't bring them up here. --Elonka 22:06, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Grepping people's contributions for strings requires more leg work than searching for the word revert. Reverting is not edit warring, and you should know this by now. I believe you owe KC an apology - at least one, and problably more than one, of your so called "edit wars" is not. You should consider striking your accusation. Hipocrite (talk) 22:11, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I am disinterested in apologies, however Elonka has declared to ArbCom in her Statement[2][3] that I have edit warred. I would like that struck, with a simple "I was in error" type comment. KillerChihuahua?!? 22:15, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
KC, I've given you a rather long list of places where I'd like to see you correct your statements about me. Perhaps you would like to address some of these? --Elonka 22:20, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If you believe KC did not edit war in your examples, and you have no other examples, you shouldn't demand that someone do something you want inorder to do something you think is right. If you have a hard time getting KC to focus on whatever disputes you have with them after you rectify all of their disputes with you, we can adress that at that time. I'll adress your concern, below. Hipocrite (talk) 22:23, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Elonka's concerns[edit]

Elonka's first concern was "your reverting me on multiple pages." That would be a problem, if KC was stalking Elonka to revert all of her changes. Could you provide a brief list of KC's reverts outside of the Talk:LOPS page? Hipocrite (talk) 22:27, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summary accusation[edit]

Who are you accusing here[4] Elonka? are you saying Hipocrite faked Jim's sig? KillerChihuahua?!? 23:08, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Check the page history. He never posted on this page. --Elonka 23:09, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
He posted on the page[5] and Hipocrite moved it to here[6] like you'd been moving Hipocrite's - complete with informative edit summary. If that's faking a sig, you've now faked Hipocrite's what, three or four times? KillerChihuahua?!? 23:13, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, that clarifies. And yes, like I said, it gets confusing when multiple people start posting. I'm leaning more and more towards deletion, since discussions appear to have stalled. --Elonka 23:37, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If its stalled, its because you've stalled it. Answer the question above, will you? Or answer the one about edit warring. You're slinging accusations but not answering questions about those accusations.
FYI, I'm going to be offline fairly soon I think; this does not mean I'm giving up, merely that there is Life Outside Wikipedia.
And IMO you now owe Hipocrite an apology - you accused him of faking sigs. Please AGF. If something looks wonky, ask first. KillerChihuahua?!? 23:50, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I think it'll be better to just delete this page, rather than let it turn into a drama magnet. If you'd like to continue the discussion, please contact me in email. --Elonka 23:55, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
