Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Recognition of same-sex unions in Romania may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Not alt[edit]

I have taken the liberty of removing the {{publicuser}} tags you applied to user talk:Mr. Straub and User:Mr. Straub/hang14/. The publicuser tag is used to indicate that a user operates more than one account, ie. a different user name. As far as I know Mr. Straub has only one account - do you know different? User:Mr. Straub/hang14/ is simply a perfectly normal user subpage. I see no reason for any notice at the top of the page over and above the present "Back off!" notice. Do you agree? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 03:36, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

So, I guess the Right Honorable Gentleman was mistaken about Mr. Staub having multiple accounts. -- Keshetsven (talk) 01:54, 21 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I was mistaken but it is still the case that the tags you applied were totally inappropriate. User:Mr. Straub/hang14/ did not need a tag and the tag you applied to User talk:Mr. Straub did not state his other account. User:David Straub contains a perfectly acceptable declaration of his other account and the symmetrical message that I added at User:Mr. Straub#Personal account completes the declaration. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 02:13, 21 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

on vandalism[edit]

In regards to your note on User:Biruitorul‎, please note that 'vandalism' in Wikipedia does not apply to content disputes. Wikipedia:Vandalism provides more detail. --Soman (talk) 03:08, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Siguranta[edit]

As a contributor to the English language Wikipedia, I consider it a matter of politeness to discuss any matters in English. Siguranta was created in 1908 as "Direcția Poliției și Siguranței Generale". Some decades later, apparently in 1924, the name indeed changed to "Serviciul Secret de Informații", only to be changed again in 1940. The communists, the main target of the Siguranta in the interwar period, made a point of not using "siguranta" or a derivative in the title of any secret service, choosing instead a synonym, "securitate" (for the English speakers, both words translate as "security"). A Google book search shows that the name "Siguranta" is commonly used by English language scholars to refer to the service throughout its existence (1908-1948).Anonimu (talk) 15:38, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Citing a Google search is a big bluff and has no standing. Also, you should have known that regime change has nothing to do with a mare synonym; Siguranța Statului is indeed the commonly known name (and referred to) for the Romanian Secret Service during the interwar period. But you should also acknowledge that it hold different names during different periods of time. --Keshetsven (talk) 16:33, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not citing Google search, I'm just indicating a list of sources, most of which fit WP's definition of reliable sources. And Google Book Search has for a long time been used on WP as a raw indicator for scholarly usage of terms. And as you acknowledge yourself, "Siguranta" is the common name for the subject, and should therefore be used as the title of the article, per our naming policy. Furthermore, the various official names (both the English translation and the Romanian originals) are dully noted (and made bold) in the article's lead, informing the user about the name changes.Anonimu (talk) 17:44, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Move of Barnevernet[edit]

I have suggested to move Barnevernet to The Norwegian Child Welfare Services (because the latter is the official English name of the services, and this is English Wikipedia). Now I realised from the article's revision history that you have moved the article in the opposite direction some months ago. If you disagree in the move I have suggested, please explain your reasons on the article's talk page. Best wishes, Hanno (talk) 06:08, 2 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
