Combined oral contraceptive pill[edit]

Hi, you are currently engaged in an WP:editwar at this page, where you are trying to include information that other editors consider improper. You have already reverted four times which is a violation of the socalled "three revert rule" which says that no editor may revert more than three times, and that reverting more is a valid cause for one's account to be blocked. I think you are probably a new editor and unaware of these rules, so don't worry. What you need to do at this point is to go to the discussion page and write why you think including the material is important. Then if there is a consensus among the editors to include it it will be included, and if there isn't it will not, or perhaps there can be established a consensus to include it in another form. The problem I see with the material you include is that you are basing it on a very new study published as a primary source. In medical topics we have a very strict policy of sourcing and we only accept the highest quality of secondary sources as laid out in WP:MEDRS. This is because primary studies contradicting well established medical views are published all the time, and most of them turn out to be wrong and are not accepted as valid in the literature. Therefore we do not include new medical studies, untill they have been met with general acceptance in the field. This is in order to avoid giving people problematic medical advice, since many people rely on wikipedia for nderstanding illnesses and treatments. Ergo, we only include medical studies that have been generally accepted as valid by the profession.User:Maunus ·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 18:27, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
