Speedy deletion of HARBEC Plastics[edit]

A tag has been placed on HARBEC Plastics requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Eve Hall (talk) 19:27, 26 November 2008 (UTC) {{helpme}} Please help me remedy these issues. This company has merit and I have seem many others with less on wikipedia. not sure what I am doing wrong.[reply]

Speedy deletion of HARBEC Plastics[edit]

A tag has been placed on HARBEC Plastics requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Speedy deletion of HARBEC Plastics[edit]

A tag has been placed on HARBEC Plastics, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

Current? situation[edit]

Following the undelete and the immediate start of the 'articles for deletion' debate process, this is what I suggest: to avoid confusion, only edit the main article (HARBEC Plastics), not your version at User:Kateetak. Read my edits to your userpage (here) and respond on the main articles for deletion discussion, in particular giving details what emails you have sent, as indicated by the OTRS tags. I am sorry that this must be quite a trauma for a newcomer, so if you have questions about the policies and processes, do ask questions. We would ideally like to be able to help improve the article to the point where it can stay, but if that is not possible, then I hope this does not scare you away forever! Hope to hear from you soon, Kan8eDie (talk) 03:44, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion tag: In response to your [Kan8eDie:Kateetak, not Kan8eDie] question on the article's talk page. The Afd (article for deletion) tag must not be removed until the deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/HARBEC Plastics is concluded. The admin who closes the Afd will deal with the article in accordance with the consensus reached. Please feel free to contribute to the deletion discussion. I have tagged the article to flag issues that will have to be dealt with if the article survives Afd.  – ukexpat (talk) 14:32, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What next[edit]

It is good to see that you are still keen about the article, so the next step is to try and save it from deletion. (If you are unsure about exactly what this process is and what is going on, you might find some sections of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion helpful, and then ask if you have any questions.) If you have any sources you can dig up, posting anything about them on the Articles for Deletion (AfD) page soon would be very helpful. It should survive as-is, but any articles in newspapers, magazines, etc. (particularly longer articles in national, not local, sources) would be very helpful. If there is even one other good source (like this one), then that would be great to hear about. Ultimately, the way it works is that after a couple of days, an administrator reads the debate at the AfD page, and decides whether in accordance with this policy the article should be deleted. The way it stands, it has a reasonable chance of surviving, depending on the attitude of the administrator, but the more we can show HARBEC is notable the better. If you have access to a collection, say, of press clippings, now is the time to bring it out. Mention in national trade journals (not advertising or press releases, but independant information) would be ideal. Note that these references do not have to be online: paper is good! A note at the debate that you have some paper articles about HARBEC would be equally (if not more) useful than a list of websits.— Kan8eDie (talk) 23:21, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image permission problem with Image:Cogeneration_plant.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Cogeneration_plant.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. howcheng {chat} 07:11, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
