The logo you uploaded[edit]

You uploaded File:Ador logo.jpeg with the claim that you are the copyright holder and release the image to public domain. Either

  1. You do own the copyright to image, which implies that you are a principal of the Ador Group, in which case you should not further edit the Ador Group article because of conflict of interest concerns; or
  2. You do not own the copyright, in which case you have uploaded the file incorrectly.

If the second option is correct, you should remove the high resolution image and replace it with a lower resolution, sufficient to be visible but not sufficient to be usable in any commercial sense, and you should upload the reduced resolution image with the Non-free use rationale for logos. A tag has been placed on Ador Group requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

A word of advice[edit]

Hello Kalpnah. I'm the editor who rescued Ador Group and Ador Welding from speedy deletion. I suspect that you may work for this company in some sort of e-marketing or public relations capacity. If so, please read WP:Conflict of interest for guidance when editing under these circumstances. Using Wikipedia for promotion is against policy and any entry that reads like an advert is likely to be speedily deleted. The problem is that if you are being being paid by a company to promote them, it is going to be very difficult for you to write an objective and neutrally worded article that meets Wikipedia's criteria. It's not impossible, but it is very, very difficult.

Wikipedia also has a strict policy against copyright violations. Do not copy and paste material into the article from other publications or websites (even your company's own site). Not only is it illegal, the text on a company's website will invariably be written in a promotional, unencyclopedic tone. Trust me, any neutral reader can spot corporate PR a mile away. Adding it to a Wikipedia article does a disservice to the company's reputation rather than enhancing it.

I strongly recommend that you now stop creating new articles for the Ador Group companies, especially given your potential conflict of interest. The parent conglomerate and its flagship company now have articles, and rightly so as they are notable and have played an important role in India's economic development. Mentions of any of their smaller companies and divisions should go in those existing articles. If you do decide to edit them further, do it as draft first. Messily formatted, ungrammatical and poorly punctuated work is far more likely to be deleted or reverted. You can create a draft space by clicking on User:Kalpnah/Draft, making an edit and clicking save. You can also get further advice and help from WikiProject India. Best wishes, Voceditenore (talk) 15:36, 10 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
