turkishcoffeeworld.org[edit]

Hello there. WP:ELNO discourages "Links to blogs, personal web pages and most fansites, except those written by a recognized authority." - so far as I can tell, the website you link to is a communal blog, none of whose authors (with the possible exception of the author of the copy-and-pasted Salon article, which itself may be a WP:ELNEVER) are recognised authorities. The blog merely has the approval of the entrepreneur who runs turkishcoffeeworld.com.

I'm also a little concerned that it falls under "Links to individual web pages that primarily exist to sell products or services" - although there is no prominent advertising on the domain, turkishcoffeeworld.org prominently links to turkishcoffeeworld.com, which is a purely commercial enterprise. turkishcoffeeworld.org doesn't look like a "non-profit entity", it looks like turkishcoffeeworld.com wanted to set up a simple blog to drive traffic (it has posted only eight blog entries in the past two years), and chose to do so at turkishcoffeworld.org rather than blog.turkishcoffeeworld.com.

Feel free to discuss the link at Talk:Turkish coffee to get opinions from other editors, though. --McGeddon (talk) 08:56, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
