Hello, Kadavul, I noticed your contributions to Ajith Kumar's article. The picture you have been adding is currently violating copyright. Please provide copyright status and a fair use rationale. If you don't do that and keep reverting the article, it will be considered vandalism. Also, co-stars belong into the articles of the movies, not into the articles of the actors - this has been uses to promote stars in the past and has lead to severe edit wars. Best regards, --Plumcouch 20:09, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Kadavul, I checked the copyright status you have provided - the picture is a news picture from www.behindwoods.com and not a still or a promotional photo from Thirupathi. If you can prove otherwise, please provide a link where it clearly states that the picture was made to promoto the movie. --Plumcouch 14:25, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Kadavul, I noticed you try to improve the article - but you can't do that by adding images with incorrect copyright information and by adding co-stars to his filmography. Information about co-stars belongs into the article of the movie. In the past, mentioning of co-stars has led to edit wars, because by mentioning them, fans have tried to "prove" that "their" star is better, bigger, greater than other stars and the result was a edit war between Ajith and Vijay fans. So please, please, please, if you'd like the add picture, be sure you know what movie they are from or who the copyright holder is and look at other articles what a filmography should look like. I'm sure, sooner or later, someone will stumble over the Ajith article and everything will be reverted because certain things just don't belong there. I know you want to help - most people do, but please, try to find out first how things are done by comparing your work with the work of others to learn the established rules how articles look in the Indian Cinema Project. Best regards and happy holidays, --Plumcouch 14:36, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked for 24 hours for continuing to add images to articles in violation of copyright. You were previously warned about this and Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously. Here, I am specifically talking about your recent edit to Ajith Kumar. --Yamla 15:07, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ajith Kumar[edit]

Hello, Kadavul. I noticed you contributions to Ajith Kumar's article. The picture you added is violating copyrights. If you want to keep it, please provide copyright information and a fair use rationale. A proper fair use rationale can be found on John Abraham (actor)'s picture, for example. As for the additions you did to the filmography - adding the co-stars into the filmography has been used the past to glorify actors: to show that actor XYZ has worked with more popular actresses than actor abc, therefore showing that actor XYZ is greater than actor ABC. To prevent edit wars, co-stars are generally not listed in the filmography. Please have a look at other actor and actress pages, to see how they are done. Warning sign This file may be deleted.

You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

Image:Vishalkrishna.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Vishalkrishna.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 18:54, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Jeevamanaa.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Jeevamanaa.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 17:41, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
