Sansa Rockbox

I feel Rockbox is a significant improvement to the Sansa e200 series. It does not require database refreshes, supports mu3 playlists and adds features not available in the traditional firmware. I am not certain why you think this is irrelevant information, but it is one of the major features that influenced my decision to purchase an e200.

You just listed out the reasons why I decided to remove the Rockbox part of the article. It's third-party, it's basically an accesory for this player (we don't list every iPod accesory or add-on in the article, do we?) and besides, the Rockbox article already lists the Sansa e200. In other words, even though an article of a Simpsons episode will state a parody of a certain celebrity or show, that celebrity or show's article will usually not state it back.--Jw21/PenaltyKillah(discussedits) 16:26, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Reminder to Mentor

Hola Mentors!

Im sending you this reminder because you volunteered to mentor my students in English Advanced B as they become contributing members of the Wikipedia community. We start working with Wikipedia in earnest next week. I ask you to take a look at your entry in the Mentor Table at Wikipedia:School_and_university_projects/ITESM_Campus_Toluca/Mentors

Please update the information, esp. with what your technical and informational expertise is or, if you have decided that you no longer want to participate, please remove your information from the table. Please watch the pages associated with the project. Students will contact you via your user page and as soon as my students have user pages, I will put them on the navigation bar associated with the project.

I don’t need to remind you that your job is NOT to write their assignments for them, of course. I certainly will tell my students that… and the fact that you are volunteers that don’t have to help them… so they need to be nice. If any students misbehave (tho I don’t expect it) don’t hesistate to contact me and I will take care of it. The goal of this project is to integrate successfully into the Wikipedia community. Anyway… what I really need your help with is helping students get oriented to Wikipedia, make appropriate changes and write about appropriate topics (see Wikipedia:School_and_university_projects/ITESM_Campus_Toluca/Syllabus for assignments). I also need your technical expertise… I am only an English teacher after all! I appreciate what technology does for us but I am no technical expert!

Again, thank you for volunteering and you will hear from us again soon! Thelmadatter 19:48, 28 August 2007 (UTC)Thelmadatter

Thanks...looks like you've become well-known

I didn't really think it was too flash, but hey, it took me a few days. Looks like you're becoming well known! BTW how did you make your WHOLE page in Times New Roman? Thanks ætərnal ðrAعon 09:51, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

No big deal, man. You did have interesting opinions and content in your page... Oh, and regarding my own page... It was designed to display the font "Tw Cen MT". Since you didn't have the font, so Times was displayed instead. Oh well... Better change it... (Oh yeah, d'you want to know how to change the font in your userpage?)--Jw21/PenaltyKillah(discussedits) 09:58, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

ZEN Vision W

Hello I've just bought zen vision w but no matter what i do player couldn't import subtitles.I know this is not the place but it would be great if you could send me a message. Soulviver 14:00, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Hmm... I've never owned a ZEN Vision W, but it's nothing to do with the player. Try downloading VobSub and make sure you have the subtitle file.--Jw21/PenaltyKillah(discussedits) 01:09, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Ok thanks. Soulviver 09:00, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

WHAT?

WE DID NOT UNDERSTAND YOUR MESSAGE ... U MEAN... WE ARE VANDALIZING????

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:School_and_university_projects/ITESM_Campus_Toluca/Los_Pancakes

Well, with large caps, it will be mistaken as vandalism by the majority of the online community. People will pay attention to what you're typing: by your words, not your capitalization. Don't worry, we mentors will never ignore you. Even if you write in normal caps. XD --Jw21/PenaltyKillah(discussedits) 20:23, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

were really sorry, we did not know it was considered offensive —Preceding unsigned comment added by 132.254.101.49 (talk) 21:51, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

You may want to check out his contributions and talk page. I am assuming good faith but part of me says we are being pranked. Spryde 17:59, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Well... maybe. I've already seen his or her page/talk page. But when I was a newcomer, it was hard for me to get all the policies and the supposed freedoms of Wikipedia. I will not be surprised if someone who is not aware of the rules will even create an article page to ask for help. I'm not saying what he or she did to your userpage is right, but he or she probably misunderstood your action to delete that page, considering that you were blocking/ignoring his or her plea. Henceforth, he or she did the same, no offence. I'll see how this goes anyway. --Jw21/PenaltyKillah(discussedits) 00:26, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
I hold no ill will towards him. I would much rather him focus on me that go out into mainspace and start causing issues which lead him to be blocked. I will gladly be the lightning rod until he gets up to speed. Spryde 10:41, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Alright, that seems fine. --Jw21/PenaltyKillah(discussedits) 18:37, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks a lot

Hi Justin, thanks for being our mentor...we need help with some letters that we have to do for our english class...we hope you can help us...let's keep in touch!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Karenpoket (talkcontribs) 21:49, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Now, regarding that letter... if it's not related to Wikipedia, then I'm afraid I do not have the power to help. I can do editing/proofreading though. --Jw21/PenaltyKillah(discussedits) 23:26, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

hi

HI i need your help: I want to know if this is good for an inquiry letter and for a sales letter. Our teacher, Thelmadatter is going to grade everything in the ltters, from the COs, to the spelling, commas, everything. I want to know if the letters are good, for you, please send me your answer to User: Thelmadatter, then clcik in group pages and then in Los Pancakes,

Thanks a lot , I appreciate your time --Adrianalima87 01:31, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

Now, I hope you are not abusing your privileges having a mentor, because I think I should limit my assistance to anything regarding Wikipedia. I will proofread this, but only if Thelmadatter doesn't regard this as plagiarism/cheating. --Jw21/PenaltyKillah(discussedits) 11:33, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

Dear Mr. Timberlake:

We want to give you an opportunity that you may not have again. YOUR HOME is selling very luxurious houses and you may have one!

They are located in one of the most important states in the USA: California. Of course, you can be part of the American Dream by buying one of these houses that only rich people own. You will be the neighbor of Lindsay Lohan, Tom Hanks, Leonardo DiCaprio and many other famous people! You will see them everyday walking in the park, surrounded by paparazzi.

Wait, there's more! Our houses are built with the most secure materials. You will never have problems with anything in your house. You won’t have to worry about cleaning or maintaining, somebody else will do it for you! For the rest of your life!{Isn't that a contradiction? Never have problems, but someone else will clean and maintain? And if it's the rest of your life, isn't it insurance?) Also, we have a variety of houses, from classic Victorian, to minimalist design! You can choose if you want to live next to the beach or to the hottest clubs in L.A! You and your family will be very happy, as we offer you at least 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, 2 dinning rooms, 3 living room, and of course, your own gym or a tennis court, with a swimming pool equipped with underwater cameras!{Do not ever assume the person has a family. Try to make the letter as compatible as possible.}

Don’t lose this opportunity!

If you want to know more about us, log on to http://www.yourhome.com or call 42834892. Operators are standing by!

Sincerely,

Ingrid Muniz

Note about CSD's

I just wanted you to know that when you nominate templates for speedy deletion, you also nominate all articles that template is included in. This happened to the Zune and IPod articles. Just wanted you to know to prevent this from happening in the future and I thank you for correctly nominating the template for deletion. --Michael Greiner 02:01, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Alright. I was just figuring out the tabs on Twinkle and I noticed 'csd' first, before 'xfd'. Anyway, as I have said before, no articles include that template, so there is no harm done. Anyway, thank you for notifying me! --Jw21/PenaltyKillah(discussedits) 02:06, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
Actually, the Zune, IPod, M6 Mini Player, and M3 Music Card articles use that infobox. Check their coding along with the Infoboxes' what links here. --Michael Greiner 02:14, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
Are converted. --Jw21/PenaltyKillah(discussedits) 01:37, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

Preparation for our first contribution to Wikipedia

Hi, we are Los Pancakes team from the Wiki project of Thelmadatter's class. This is the partial of the semester in which we are planning our formal contribution to Wikipedia. We started by making a plan about changing the México (state) page. We want to change the "Geography" section and we already posted a proposal in our page.

This is the link where you can find the proposal: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:School_and_university_projects/ITESM_Campus_Toluca/Los_Pancakes

We want to know your point of view because your opinion as an expert of Wikipedia is very important for us. See you later. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 132.254.101.49 (talk) 22:44, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Created discussion in your talk page. --Jw21/PenaltyKillah(discussedits) 01:37, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

Transcend T.sonic

Hey mate, i have all the info needed, juts tell me what all are neede, and I'll tell you all the details. --Rsrikanth05 05:51, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

Well, there is one thing you have to consider. Read WP:NOTE first, and decide with the community if the Transcend T.sonic is notable enough to be in Wikipedia. I saw the article you created and it seems there are notices about it. --Jw21/PenaltyKillah(discussedits) 16:07, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
Well, if the Zen can have an article about it, so can the Transcend T.sonic. --08:34, 13 October 2007 (UTC)Rsrikanth05 08:34, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
Did you even see the note in your own created artle? "The subject of this article may not satisfy the notability guideline or one of the following guidelines for inclusion on Wikipedia." That means its inclusion in Wikipedia is doubted. Why not ask for a second opinion, then reply to me. --Jw21/PenaltyKillah(discussedits) 15:16, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
