Camille's Peer Review[edit]

lead sentence Good lead sentence! structure Consider moving "The primary soil gases are nitrogen, carbon dioxide and oxygen....produce volatile organic compounds.[3]" down to "Composition." In general, I think you may want to consider moving most of your lead paragraph(s) to appropriate sections. Instead of referencing images/tables "to the right you will see..", add a figure caption. balanced coverage Overall I think the article is well balanced. I think it could benefit from expansion on the composition (if there are more specific details known) and additional links to permafrost thawing in the last section. Could you add a section on sampling techniques/technologies? I know volatile gas monitoring is veyr important in the environmental remediation/monitoring sectors. neutral content The section about microseepage seems to introduce bias. Deleting the qualifying statement "though controversial...macroseepage" and leaving just the fact about microseepage would eliminate this I think. reliable sources Your articles look to be reliable. Make sure to add a citation to the sentence beginning with "According to the USDA..."

Really great job! I think you could condense some information and be less wordy in some of your sentences, but this is a BIG improvement to the current article.Compost Camel (talk) 15:28, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
