Re: Gone[edit]

I'm sad about this, but I hope that you can return sometime. Good luck in all that you do! :) Extraordinary Machine 11:08, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it is unfortunate, but I hope all goes well for you in real-life. I'll see you sometime in the future. Take care! —Eternal Equinox | talk 13:24, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Esperanza Newsletter, Issue #1[edit]

Reach out is a program aimed at allowing users to bring issues that they have had in Wikipedia to a listening, sympathetic and caring audience:
"No one can know how we feel if we do not say. We cannot expect to get understanding if we do not ask for it. No one will dispute that sometimes life's issues are too much for one person. It is fair to say that sometimes Wikipedia's problems fall under the same heading. This is a place where you can bring the bruises that can sometimes be got on this project for attention."
The Stress alerts program aims at identifying users who are stressed, alerting the community of thier stress and works in tandem with the Stressbusters at trying to identify causes of stress and eliminating them.
Note from the editor
Welcome to this new format of the Esperanza Newsletter, which came about during the last Advisory Council meeting - we hope you like it! The major changes are that each month, right after the Council meeting, this will be sent out and will include two featured programs and a sum up of the meeting. Also, it will be signed by all of the Advisory Council members, not just Celestianpower. Have an Esperanzial end of March, everyone!
  1. Future meetings are to be held monthly, not fortnightly as before.
  2. Bans and Access level changes (apart from autovoice) in the IRC channel are to be reported at the new log.
  3. In the IRC channel, there is going to be only one bot at a time.
  4. The charter requires members to have 150 edits and 2 weeks editing. Why this is the case will be clarified.
  5. A new Code of Conduct will be drafted by JoanneB and proposed to the Esperanza community.
  6. The NPA reform idea is to be dropped officially.
  7. Charter ammendments are to be discussed in future, not voted on.
  8. The Advisory Council is not going to be proposed to be expanded by the Advisory Council themselves, if others want to propose it, they will listen.
Signed...

I'm back from my break though I will not be very active[edit]

Hey Orane, I come back from my break and I see you have gone on one yourself! :-<> Now, to answer your question, you are not poison, in fact you are far from it. As one of the most helpful and friendly users I've ever met, you my friend are gold. I'm glad to see that you will still be semi active yourself. On a side note: Redwolf24 is back on a semi active basis as well! :) KnowledgeOfSelf 16:31, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, have you returned?[edit]

Hello, have you returned from your break? I noticed this edit. —Eternal Equinox | talk 23:00, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Do you know if Cruz was able to get into the university? Last time I checked, his average dropped to an 89%. —Eternal Equinox | talk 19:37, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and you may have noticed this edit on Bishonen's talk page. It's too bad that she has no idea. Her loss though, certainly not mine. —Eternal Equinox | talk 20:21, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
We Belong Together had been nominated again, but Raul654 removed it because he believed it had spent "too much time at FAC". I'm not sure I believe this. Bulbasaur and even Cline Dion spent astronomical time periods at FAC even during their second and third times. I wonder if someone else is the result of his decision. —Eternal Equinox | talk 00:17, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Let's assume good faith here. I highly doubt that he did it to spite anyone, or was influenced by someone else. I really understand and respect his decision. Let's just wait a while; theres no point in speculating or accusing. Oran e (t) (c) (e) 00:31, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[edit]

Thank you for your vote of confidence in my recent request for bureaucratship. Even though it didn't pass, I greatly appreciate your support and hope I will continue to have your respect. Thank you! Flcelloguy (A note?) 23:02, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Esperanza Newsletter, Issue #2[edit]

The Barnstar Brigade is a new program aimed at giving more very deserving yet unappreciated users barnstars. It will officially start on 2006-04-09, but signing up is encouraged before this date:
"Here in Wikipedia, there are hundreds of wikipedians whose work and efforts go un-appreciated. One occasionally comes across editors who have thousands of good edits, but because they may not get around as much as others, their contributions and hard work often go un-noticed. Sadly, these editors often leave the project. As Esperanzians, we can help to make people feel appreciated, be it by some kind words or the awarding of a Barnstar. A project the size of Wikipedia has thousands of editors, so there are plenty of people out there who deserve recognition, one just has to find them. The object of this program is not to flood editors with Barnstars, but to seek out people who deserve them, and make them feel appreciated."
The Stress alerts program aims at identifying users who are stressed, alerting the community of thier stress and works in tandem with the Stressbusters at trying to identify causes of stress and eliminating them.
Information
Welcome to the second issue of the new format Esperanza Newsletter - we hope you still like it! This week, it was delivered diligently by our new dogsbody. MiszaBot (run by Misza13): any execution complaints should go to him. Content comments should be directed at the Esperanza talkpage. Thanks!
  1. The next elections: Approval voting as before and, also as before, an previous leadership member can run. Please submit your name for voting in the relevant section of this page. Voting starts on 2006-04-23 and ends on 2006-04-30. There will be three places up for grabs as KnowledgeOfSelf is leaving Wikipedia. Please see the previously linked page for full details.
  2. The Code of Conduct is now ready for extensive discussion! Specific comments should go to the Code of Conduct talk page, discussion of having one at all should be directed to the main Esperanza talk page.
  3. The current process for accepting proposals for new programs has been deemed fine. All Advisory Council members and the Admin Gen are to endevour to be bold when viewing discussion. If they feel that consensus has been reached, they will act accordingly.
A plea from the editor...
The propsed programs page is terribly underused! Please leave any comments, good or bad, on the page, to help us determine the membership's thoughts on the ideas there.

Mariah Carey[edit]

Saucy. Since I'm bored with editing WBT as of right now, are there any other articles you'd like to collaborate on? —Eternal Equinox | talk 21:45, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Let's start with CiL since it has already been developed. After that, we can do ABMB. All right, I'll see you next time you come on Wikipedia, and I'm going to start working on CiL. —Eternal Equinox | talk 21:54, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Mariah Carey FAC[edit]

There can be miracles when you believe...

Okay, the article might not be promoted, so I think that award is a little too soon! :) However, thank you. I'd also like to award you The Original Barnstar; I think everybody who contributed to that article deserves this, but especially you. It's come a very long way indeed. Anyway, I was thinking of leaving Wikipedia soon (or only editing occasionally), and the Mariah article was one of the first that I edited, so it's kind of a circle in that I originally wanted to help make it a better article, and we've all done that now, I think...do you get what I mean? Okay, never mind. :) Even if it isn't featured, I'm really proud of this article, and you should be too! :) Extraordinary Machine 21:50, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I think that user:Tsavage, whilst a little intimidating, often has very good advice to give. I get the feeling that he wants Wikipedia and its articles to be the very best they can be, which is great, but obviously people will disagree with what is "the very best" and how we can get there. Anyway, see you! Extraordinary Machine 21:52, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I still like editing Wikipedia, it's just that there's other things that I'd like to focus my attention on at this point. I'm learning the piano - I've just learnt most of "White Houses" by Vanessa Carlton (who's a great singer, I recommend both her albums) and I'm really proud of it :). Also, my exams are coming up, and I'm confident that I will do well but I want to work really hard for them (I never thought I'd say that about exams :)). Extraordinary Machine 16:36, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deleting page "Semperfis"?[edit]

Why did you delete the article "Semperfis"? Promotion? Come one, there are thousands of pages out there about bands that promote them, why did you have to delete mine? It does not assert the importance or significance of its subject? There are thousands of stubs about bands in Wikipedia with a lot less information than mine. Would you please put the article back in?

R6mile 07:02, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WMA[edit]

Emailed. Enjoy them.

Sorry about that! It's just that (apparently) the same editor has been reinserting that exact same edit several times without citing their source, so I wasn't really looking. Sorry! Extraordinary Machine 18:10, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

On Minnie Riperton[edit]

As always thank you for your comments. It is not my intention of having you (or anyone) reprimanded or punished in any way. I am well aware that the entry of Minnie Riperton in Wikipedia is not a fan page. I did write a comment a few days ago in response on the talk page and within a few hours it was deleted and I could not find it on the history. In the same session I received an Wikipedia email with your welcome and further discussion on this topic, when I checked the log of the talk page it showed that you were the last one to update the page. If there is any way that I could have been mistaken and you did not delete my comment I apologize. Furthermore the thing that I object to is the dismissive way that the page has been handled. I understand that she was nowhere as famous as other singers but her talent had merits which objectively should be acknowledged. Her voice had unique characteristics and that should be noted whether some people agree or not, also although looking at the whistle register section I would say that singing that high is not very rare at all, I think you and I could agree that she was distinctly noted among singers. I was looking on the web some information and I came upon the artist page (of Minnie Riperton) of VH1 (http://www.vh1.com/artists/az/riperton_minnie/artist.jhtml) and I was thinking of writing something about the uniqueness of her voice on the introductory lines of her article here at Wikipedia. I would like to ask for your counsel on the matter given that this time we can cite something as the source of the information. Please advise me how could I write it and cite it. As a final note I am not sure if my comments have come across as harsh or inappropiate and without relinquishing my previous views I would like you to know that I do not have anything personal against you or any other editor here in Wikipedia and in fact I commend you on becoming a administrator and I hope that after some time I can aspire to the same.Rebel.crusader 10:10, 14 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, but it's your accomplishment and everybody else's as well. I was hoping that it would be promoted, but I was surprised at the reception it received. As for my userpage...well, I'm not leaving immediately, but definitely very soon. On an unrelated note, could you have a word with Vorash (talk · contribs) about Mariah Carey singles discography? He's been reinserting unsourced sales figures again and again, but the thing is he performs blanket reverts to a weeks-old version of the article containing the figures (rather than adding them back in manually), thus destroying all edits made in the meantime. These reverts actually qualify as low-level vandalism as they reintroduce factual inaccuracies and outdated information and remove references, and Vorash doesn't even seem to care, even going so far as to label me a "vandal" and call one of my comments "bullshit". I've reported the situation at WP:AN/I and WP:RFPP, but even so it feels as if I'm the only one trying to tackle the issue and it would really be appreciated if you could monitor the situation. Extraordinary Machine 22:18, 14 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for protecting the article; I mean, I know that he hasn't been willing to discuss the issue so keeping the article at the version without the sales figures for a while may encourage him to to so. Anyway, I'm about to leave a message on his talk page inviting him to discuss the issue calmly. Thanks again. Extraordinary Machine 13:46, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mariah-01.jpg Image Issue / Mariah Carey Article[edit]

You really helped me understand this issue, so I wanted to thank you for your patience and understanding. It's easy to see why you have become such a well respected contributor here. Good luck to you in all your future endevours on and off Wikipedia. :-)

Crazy in Love[edit]

I'm doing my best to clean-up the article, although there are a few anonymous contributers who insist that every national chart in the world be listed. It is becoming difficult to socialize the matter with them, and I hope you eventually decide to help out, but I do know that you're busy. I hope you maintain that 90% average! —Eternal Equinox | talk 14:33, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Whoa, check this out man! She-who-must-not-be-named has located the pin in the haystack! I suppose she will keep on bothering me until I "reveal" that I am Queen Disease. You know what we should do? Perhaps I will purchase Courtni a one-way ticket to Sweden with my photograph. She needs some elucidation. What do you think? :P —Eternal Equinox | talk 22:58, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Two things: (with all due respect)
  1. I am very tired of the drama between you and Bishonen. This is the same reason why I tried to leave wikipedia in the past. You can't keep assuming that every move she makes is a part of a scheme against you (and you can't keep running to me everytime you suspect something). I will not be pulled down in any of this. I have worked far too hard and I have too good of a reputation to destry over this feud.
  2. I think that you made a very big mistake renominating the article so early (especially without consulting me, as we are supposed to work on it together). Two weeks is way to early, and I wouldn't be surprised if Raul delisted it again. I will have no part in this one. Oran e (t) (c) (e) 03:29, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I can see why you're aggravated. Please, if it does make you feel better, don't take part in this FAC, and I've decided it would be best for me to take an extended wikibreak. I'm not going to bother you anymore if you don't want me to. I'm really just tired of this place as a whole myself. I came here in January to rid of the library's bad name which Hollow had given to it. As it currently stands, people are just going to have to accept the fact that this IP address (64.231) is public. If they don't, then oh well; it's too bad for everyone here. I suppose this is it then: I can see I'm not liked, but I'm primarily going to believe this is due to those accusations. If you don't want me to run to you anymore, I won't. I won't edit We Belong Together anymore (which you know is already featured quality). Well... goodbye. See you at U of T. —Eternal Equinox | talk 15:28, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am taking a massive wikibreak, and may not return until September. I will still edit occasionally and improve the articles that need work (or simply an update). I'm going to do this from this library's infamous IP address every time I conduct an edit. Joy. Anyway, take care of WBT. I'll be back someday. Hopefully. Sorry to have disrupted everything and everyone, which includes yourself. 64.231.114.97 20:25, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, and I know that you're currently busy, but if you're interested, I have started working on Since U Been Gone. —EE

It's been nice editing with you![edit]

Okay, I remember when we first start editing the same article, we were less than friendly toward one another :). However, that's way in the past now. I'd just like to say that it's been very good editing alongside you, and also my brothers make fun of me for being a fan of Mariah Carey, so if anybody makes fun of you then don't listen to them because we "lambs" gotta stick together! Anyway, that's all. See you! :) Extraordinary Machine 23:02, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"We spell out numbers under 100"?[edit]

Hi,

from what I've read, our guidelines only say *some users* prefer to spell out numbers less than 10 (that means you are free to spell out or not if you are the first one to write them; otherwise you should respect the pre-existing style see WikiLove). Do you have a quotation for what you say? (I'm not interested in the Madonna article, but I'm interested to guidelines, of course). --Gennaro Prota 19:04, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello friend, your analysis is perfect, and I agree with the same. Certainly, you must have devoted a lot of time to the matter. I really feel indebted to you for your valuable comments. I shall surely try to improve. I shall surely use the administrative tools more, including more involvement to the project related issues. I may add that my involvement with the project is on a very long-term basis, and there shall surely be more from me as far as the administration side is concerned. I am looking forward to listening more from you. Thanks. --Bhadani 08:10, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A landslide victory for The JPS (aka RFA thanks)[edit]

Hey, Journalist/Archive 12, thank you so much for your vote and comments in my RfA, which passed with an overwhelming consensus of 95/2/2. I was very surprised and flattered that the community has entrusted me with these lovely new toys. I ripped open the box and started playing with them as soon as I got them, and I've already had the pleasure of deleting random nonsense/attacks/copyvios tonight.
If I ever do anything wrong, or can help in some way, please feel free to drop me a line on my talk page, and I will do my best to correct my mistake, or whatever...

Esperanza Newsletter, Issue #3[edit]

The Administrator Coaching program is a program aimed at preparing Wikipedians for Adminship or helping them understand the intricacies of Wikipedia better. Recently, changes have been made to the requirements of coachees. Please review them before requesting this service.
This would be something like the Welcoming Committee, but for people who have figured out the basics of editing articles; they're not newcomers any more, but they might want some help in learning new roles. Some might like suggestions about how to learn vandal patrol, or mentoring on taking an article to featured status, or guidance with a proposal they plan to make at the Village Pump, for example. In this way, Esperanza would help keep hope alive for Wikipedia because we would always be grooming the next generation of admins.
The Stressbusters are a subset of Esperanza aiming to investigate the causes of stress. New eyes on the situation are always welcome!
Note from the editor
As always, MiszaBot handled this delivery. Thank you! Also, congratulations go to Pschemp, Titoxd and Freakofnurture for being elected in the last elections! An Esperanzial May to all of the readership!
  1. Posting logs of the Esperanza IRC channel are explicitly banned anywhere. Violation of this rule results in deletion and a ban from the channel.
  2. A disclaimer is going to be added to the Esperanza main page. We are humans and, as such, are imperfect.
  3. Various revisions have been made to the Code of Conduct. Please see them, as the proposal is ready to be ratified by the community and enacted. All members will members to have to re-confirm their membership after accepting the Code of Conduct.
  4. Referendums are to be held on whether terms of AC members should be lengthened and whether we should abolish votes full stop.
  5. Admin Coaching reform is agreed upon.

Cool new profile image. When do you think WBT should be FACed again? —Eternal Equinox | talk 20:18, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
All right, I agree with you. Plus, there aren't many people who like me on Wikipedia as of this writing, and I don't want to tempt them any further. Are you online by chance? Don't you think it's time we started on [[Crazy in Love (Beyonc song)]]? —Eternal Equinox | talk 20:28, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, lovely. :P
Don't worry too much about it, but I'm going to begin to heavily tidy it. The music and structure will begin to receive incorportation eventually. —Eternal Equinox | talk 20:32, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

About "Crazy in Love": I do understand this, but even I believed "Crazy in Love" contained pop roots. After all, it was a success with pop radio. —Eternal Equinox | talk 02:51, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The horse's mouth? =D
Are there any other adjustments we have to make to the article? We should resubmit it for FA on the 29th, which will be a month and a half since the last, I think. —Eternal Equinox | talk 18:14, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Haven't heard that expression before? I know, I find it funny too. I'm not sure if it needs anything more, but let's continue to see what we can do. You know how FAC is. Oran e (t) (c) (e) 18:38, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey man, I'm sorry, but I'm not going to be editing Wikipedia any further. I've sent you an e-mail about it. Could you do me a favour since you're an admin? If you are allowed to, I want you to, as per my permission, delete the history in my history page from my user page dated March 20 until present date. I don't want anybody to see the information posted after March 20. I would really appreciate it. Goodbye. —Eternal Equinox | talk 21:03, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Only returning for the WBT FAC. Should we nominate it again? —Eternal Equinox | talk 15:22, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm really doubtful. One user told me that he thought that it was too early to renominate it. Also, its now being peer reviewed. Oran e (t) (c) (e) 15:40, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The last nomination was April 17th. I think we can get it in by mid-June then? —Eternal Equinox | talk 15:45, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Definitely! Oh, and I forgot to tell you: I can't delete some parts of your history; I can only delete your entire page, which will delete your entire history. Oran e (t) (c) (e) 15:57, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You can do that too, I suppose. After WBT is finished, of course. —Eternal Equinox | talk 21:37, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

CANADA[edit]

Actually, my message to you has nothing to do with the above.

Bonjour, Oran.

I recently noticed that you called for a user to unblock me.

I was curious as to what pushed you to take up for me, or are you simply trying to make other users abide by the "rules"?

How do you guys even KNOW about blocked user? Is there somekind of central server that only the elite ones have access to?

I am dying to know.

I think wiki editors take this stuff a little too much to heart & get obsessed with deleting material this is accurate.

ALL THE INFORMATION I HAVE POSTED IS ACCURATE AND NOT COPYRIGHTED.

But the FUCT page as well as the ERIK BRUNETTI page are continuously getting removed. And the users that remove them are not even able to SHOW themselves (they erase history) OR explain themselves. So I must come to the conclusion that I am dealing with internet cowards: geeks that hide behind their computer and PLAY GOD.

What are YOUR thoughs on this subject?

I was born pretty. So I guess I don't know how these people REALLY feel. All has always been given to me on a silver platter. So to me, this is cerebral-masturbation. Knit-picking.

But you don't look like one of THEM.

I think you're cute.

New user questions...[edit]

hey, saw the "happy to help new users" box and thought hey, i have a few questions. i want to help out this whole wikipedia deal and perhaps one day become an administrator. i realize that there is alot of work that must be involved in getting there so im planning on getting involved in a few wikiprojects and the counter-vandalism unit but im not really sure how to. i vaguely know but im having trouble finding the right pages or clear directions. any adivse? also, are there any other wikipedia projects similar to the counter vandalism unit that i could get involved in? also, any nifty tools that might be helpful for this/just plain cool.

if you could reply on my talk page that would also be helpful. ta ta. (chubbstar) 08:04, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reporting Abuse[edit]

Sorry if this may be going through the wrong channels, but you're an admin, so it may not matter where it goes. Osfan has been attacking me for several weeks on my user talkback, first by saying "learn to spell" after I, in a rush, created an article that had some typos in it. I explained to this person I have certain problems with typing at times that are fixed when motivated. I only put that artiucle up to be cleaned up and for the purpose of existing, but Osfan, being apparantly incapable of respecting my problems, continued to point them out. This was AFTER I told this person to leave my talkback because I knew a small thing was being made into something bigger for clear attention.

Now this person is accusing me of "manipulating their words", and is still refusing to leave me alone despite my constant telling him/her to do so. In my opinion, this borders on harrasment and I request this user be cautioned to be banned from my talkback, and told never to show up again, otherwise I'll take matters into my own hands and ban Osfan myself through deletion of that user's comments. I have the right to decide who and what can be put on my talkback, and it's clearly none of what Osfan has produced.

Please ban this person from my talkback, as I have provided Osfan the same courtesy of leaving that user's talkback alone.

Practising what you preach!!![edit]

You added this on a talk page, and are guilty of dong the same yourself. Double standards, shameful in an admin.

I should point out that some users consider it disrespectful when a user removes comments from his or her talk page. Although you are using it, you really cannot claim it and tell others what to post and what not to post. For certain, you cannot remove warnings from you pages, nor can you delete discussions about the policies and concerns over your behavior.  Funky Monkey  (talk)  13:54, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, Funky Monkey, you have been on my back for a while now. Really what's your problem? I said that some users consider it disrespectful. I did not say that all users do, nor did I say that it was vandalism (as you seem to imply). Also, I said that you definitely cannot remove warnings, nor discussions of the policies where they apply to your (mis)behaviour. However, when people want to get rid of trivial naggings (such as this (or the other 5 times)), they can archive their talkpage, or remove things at their discretion. My RFA[edit]

Thank you, Journalist, for voting in my RFA. It closed with a final result of 75/1/0. Now that I am an administrator here, I will continue to improve this encyclopedia, using my new tools to revert vandalism, block persistent vandals, protect pages that have been vandalized intensively, and close AFD discussions. Any questions? Please contact me by adding a new section on my talk page. Again, thanks to all of you who participated!!! -- King of 23:18, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank-you[edit]

The count is in, and now I join the crew who wield the mops and pails.
Thanks for your support! I pledge to serve both you and Jimbo Wales.

If you have anything you need, then please don't think to hesitate.

For I am the very model of a grateful admin designate!

Wow. You have done some really great work!!

Congrats:)!

Hello Orane! Thank you very much for your support at my request for adminship. Best of luck with that Canadian weather! I myself grew up in a warm part of the world, and I could never imagine going through those kind of winters. Anyway, thanks again, and if you ever see something that I could be doing better, feel free to leave me a message. EWS23 | (Leave me a message!) 03:36, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

We Belong Together[edit]

I would almost certainly support this article were it brought before an FAC as I see no real issues (though I think it's too soon to renominate). The only things I would say is more references are always better. The album credits could go to the album, things like that. However, I am one voice. Staxringold 11:45, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Journalist! I would be glad to take a look at this article and tell you what I think, although it probably won't be until tomorrow that I get a chance to do so. Thanks! Flcelloguy (A note?) 00:43, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Madonna[edit]

Hi Orane. I've rewritten the lead paragraph at Madonna (entertainer) and have also explained my reasoning on the talk page (under your "intro" comment). This is the second time I've done this - last time I got reverted within a very short time and I thought, to hell with trying to fix it, but I'm a fool for punishment. Would you mind looking/commenting please? I sometimes feel that I'm the only one who can see the problems in the Madonna article so I'm really glad you've come along a couple of times and said what I've been trying to say. (Although I have to say that some of the people working on it now are doing a great job). Thanks ! Rossrs 15:05, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Orane. I respect your judgement and I appreciate you adding your views. This article is so frustrating but you know how that is! Rossrs 11:33, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Congratualtions[edit]

Congrats on getting accepted to a university you obviously want to attend :-). NoSeptember talk 03:29, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Congrats. I'm glad you got in. It's a good school. Enjoy! Guettarda 15:22, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

???[edit]

Yes. Please don't write that I've blanked my pages — I've fixed that. —Eternal Equinox | talk 00:36, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I want to help others. It seems as though people believe I only want it to be taken more seriously. Is this really how the community acts toward people? No, I do not want it for attention, I want it because of the reasons I've provided. WP:RFA appears to be "an ultimate test" in my eyes, and I am currently concerned. —Eternal Equinox | talk 00:42, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I want to help everybody. Of course I knew the outcome of the debate (which it is hardly already). Quality over quantity — Bishonen has been incredibly rude and uncivil with me, but all of her friends whom are also administrators are able to avoid the controversy. I wonder... is this because they're administrators? Well, I want to be taken seriously as well, regardless of administrative powers. I just attempted this so that I can help out others whenever they require it. This is not a joke. —Eternal Equinox | talk 00:59, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You have proved to be a rather well-liked colleague. I am afraid that this is the end of the line for us. Perhaps I will see you at U of T this year, but don't predict expectations. I was thankful to have met a valuable editor (and a pervert through electronic mail). But now, my friend, let us be known as the quick duo: She will be a bird in the sky someday. Someday. Someday. I want you to do me a favour: please remember "someday". And I really mean this — because someday I will win. —Eternal Equinox | talk 01:21, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
What is wrong with you?? I've just been saying goodbye to everybody, because I'm serious: this is it. I will no longer converse with the people of this community; I'm really fed-up. Even you've pissed me off so much that I could spill grease on flammable material. Listen: I'm going. I've done everything I can and my last words, to the one who saved me from destroying this website (you), were supposed to be the finest. Now they're not. How dare you. I don't care what happens to you. My lifespan on this site was over before it began. Your friendship was a waste of breathing space.
Now, follow my instructions: delete my page. Get rid of it. It shall not be seen again. I wish you well. And no, I do pray that you live with good luck now that you've achieved your university selection, you have the e-mail, you know what it says. I'll see you again someday. Someday.Eternal Equinox | talk 02:04, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Now delete my user and talk pages. Please take care of We Belong Together. It was my pride and the epitome of beauty; the jewel of resistance. If only I could have been there in the end.

How dare I? How dare I? Frankly, I'm tired of your nonsense. I tried to help you. I really did. But there is just so much that I can do. You go arond here looking for trouble, all the while playing the poor innocent victim. Now you make silly, threathening statements like these and expect me not to say anything? You know what, just go. I can't deal with this anymore. Frankly, I'm worried about you. Oran e (t) (c) (e) 02:21, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey[edit]

Hope this doesn't add to your stress. I can see you're trying to give good advice under trying circumstances. User talk: pages are almost never deleted, since they contain not just the user's edits but also others' (and usually more of others' than the user's). I'm going to undelete the page and blank it, and if EE gives the say-so, protecting it would be fine too. OK? (The User: page can remain deleted.) —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 02:30, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Blocking yourself: :It's frowned on, only due to the risk of collateral damage, but I've never seen any one get in too much hot water for it. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 02:42, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
