February 2010[edit]

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to the page 2010 safeway championship. Blank pages are malicious to Wikipedia as they often confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate revision. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please use the deletion process for how to proceed. File source problem with File:Wwcc08.gif[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Wwcc08.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:24, 8 September 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 17:24, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello!

Thank you for uploading commons:File:CANCUP-EVENT1.png! Usually, logos for championships are listed as non-free images, such as this logo of the 2012 WWCC. You listed the Canada Cup logo as applicable under the Free Art License, something which I'm not entirely sure of. Do you have anything to back this up?

Also, when naming curling-related images, I would advise that the name used is something that is short and that reveals as much as possible about the image as possible. For logos, shorthand is often used, such as "2012wwcc" for the 2012 World Women's Curling Championship logo, " or, in the old Canada Cup logo, "2011cancup." I would strongly suggest that the image be renamed as "2011cancup.png" and uploaded as such. This would make things more uniform and streamlined.

I'd like to invite you to join WikiProject Curling, a community of editors dedicated to updating curling sites. Thank you for your help, and happy editing! Prayerfortheworld (talk) 02:38, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
