Jack Granger's Rank[edit]

Just checked the link of the screenshot you provided me with. Seems rather solid confirmation for the time being. I basically requested this kind of confirmation upfront as to date I've only seen Granger being mentioned with the generic title of "General" in any of the official EA documents.

You'll need to revert my edits to Jack Granger's entry in the "Characters of the Global Defense Initiative" page as well, by the way. ROK Navy Organization[edit]

1. The correct English titles for 작전사령부 is Commander-in-Chief Republic of Korea Fleet. Following a naval tradition, Commander-in-Chief Republic of Korea Fleet can mean both the person and his command (i.e. 작전사령관 and 작전사령부) (Reference - even though they made a typo there: http://72.14.235.104/search?q=cache:73PylY6UsfwJ:www.navy.go.kr:8005/adrepboardread.do%3FszCtgrID%3D8%26szSeq%3D22345%26szSrchType%3D0%26szKwd%3D%26pg%3D85%26pgrp%3D1+cincrokflt&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=8&client=safari).

For example, if you go to the web page of the US Pacific Fleet (http://www.cpf.navy.mil/), the title shown on the top is Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet. Also the seal of the fleet shows Commander U.S. Pacific Fleet. BTW Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet used to be known as Commander-in-Chief U.S. Pacific Fleet.

2. Chief of Naval Operation (해군본부), Naval Academy (해군사관학교), Naval War College (해군대학) are only units have 해군 in their official Korean unit names.

On your comment regarding the ROK Navy[edit]

I read the section you mentioned (http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/rok/navy.htm).

I am not quite sure what you meant, but I guess it's about the ROK Navy organization.

1. I guess most of the problems are because people try to translate the Korean unit names word by word (i.e. 해군작전사령부 might be translated as Naval Operations Command), but while in fact there are correct English names for those units, which are very different from the literal meanings of Korean words (e.g. Commander-in-Chief Republic of Korea Navy, Commander Air Wing SIX - 6항공전단). Fortunately I happen to know some correct English names the ROKN units and I am doing some further researches to find out the correct English names for other units I am not so sure of.

2. Simply, information in globalsecurity.org can be wrong. For example, if you see the second last paragraph of the page your link directed, it says "The Naval Amphibious Command operates a small fleet of landing craft to support marine corps operations." You might know that there is no unit in the ROK Navy called "Naval Amphibious Command." Commander Amphibious Squadron 53 is the closest thing that fits the description. Also some of information in globalsecurity.org is quite outdated (and incorrect), especially, the "ROK Navy Organization." That is why I am putting my efforts on the ROKN article in Wikipedia because I could update the article with accurate AND up-to-date information.

3. I am not certain about putting the comma after Commander-in-Chief or Commander before the unit name. The Royal Navy does not put the comma (e.g. Commander-in-Chief Fleet, Commandant General Royal Marines), but the US Navy sometimes put and sometimes does not (e.g. Commander, Fleet Activities Chinhae; Commander Navy Region Hawaii). At least two sentences seem to have been copied word-for-word from the external source given. The article must be rewritten, not just be a copy of parts of another article -- unless permission is obtained etc. It's not good enough just to change some of the words. Nimitz subclasses[edit]

Hi. Last summer, you rearranged {{Nimitz class aircraft carrier}}, replacing the Roosevelt-subclass with Lincoln- and Reagan-subclasses. I did a quick look around, but couldn't find any support for this. On the other hand, USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) says

'Because of extensive changes between the first three units of the class and "T.R." and all subsequent ships, the latter six are infrequently called "Theodore Roosevelt-class" aircraft carriers.'

Daewoo DP51 / K5 pistol[edit]

Can you please provide a source for the K5 military model being the first name / model of this pistol? There are no sources that I am aware of which establish this. My understanding is that Daewoo developed the DP51 under that name, for the military procurement competition, but that the K5 name came after it was tested and approved and was not the first name.

If you have a reliable source for the K5 name coming first then that's fine. But I'd like to see one provided.
