"Party" Political Office[edit]

Hi, Jimi. Was looking at your addition to the article on Michael Bakalis [1], and I want to say, thanks for adding a succession box which shows that he was the party nominee. Having said so, however, I question the use of this particular succession box. The use of the term "Party" is good, as it indicates that this came from a political party. But the word "office" is almost certainly inappropriate, as this person does not hold any actual office. Being the nominee is not the same as holding an office. Can we find a better alternative? I think that, under the circumstances, Howlett's defeat was the more embarassing for the Illinois Democratic party.
