License tagging for Image:19 is hit.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:19 is hit.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 15:05, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

My what a guy, that Gaston![edit]

I'm for putting up a page for the big lug myself (he's one of my favorites), but I see that it's been shot down multiple times for snubbery in the KH series. Too busy huffin' five dozen eggs to make the casting call, I suppose. 07:55, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

Well, whoever you are and whatever you mean, Gaston may be a Disney Antagonist and villain, but his storyline is explained clearly in the BatB page, and he doesn't appear anywhere else (except House of Mouse, but he's a cameo). If he had been on Kingdom Hearts II and if Wikipedia allowed FanFiction, he would have had enough info to have his own Wikipage. Jienum

Well for once I'm somewhat flattered that he actually addressed me this time. Though I'm not too fond of him saying that he was going to kill me, I do, however, manage to find some comedic relief in all this at the thought of him attempting to kill me. Here's my analysis: He can't write at all so my guess is another Dragon Emperor "Sockpuppet". However, the IPs responsible for the recent vandalism are AOL trolls so there is a slim possibility that Wiki-star could indeed be making himself look like an ass again... --3bulletproof16 21:44, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Belle[edit]

Howdy. Just so you know, only the person closing an AfD debate should remove the AfD template from an article. Since the discussion was not a completely obvious consensus, I think you would be better off waiting for an administrator to close the discussion and remove the template. Thanks! --Aguerriero (talk) 18:13, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Um, there was already a different image under this name, did you not see the warning. Also, you cannot claim this as your "own work" unless you drew it yourself. Taking a screenshot does not constitute "own work". If you want to upload it and claim it as fair use, use a different name please. Herostratus 00:03, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Page moves ~~[edit]

I've no problems with you moving Hildegarn based off what little evidence there is as of now (though there's a chance that might change). However, please use the move tab instead of creating a new page and copy-pasting next time, or request one under WP:RM if you're having difficulty, alrighty?

Also, you'll need to fix the text on the page to match the new name whenever possible. Papacha 16:36, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Jienum. You may want to check the copyright tag for Image:KateWinslet.jpg. It was tagged as a event poster, but I don't think that is appropriate. That is image is not free, so, we need a compeling reason to keep it on Wikipedia. If you believe you can't think of one, just ignore this message and the image will be removed in a couple of days. Let me know if I can be of any help. Best regards, --Abu Badali 17:57, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Majin Buu[edit]

I removed the "Buu vs Buu: Round 1/2" from the article, as they are fan made terms and have no real purpose in the article. I also removed some of the images as requested[1].There are alot of grammar mistakes, mostly things like correct usage of words and ect. so I added the Clean-up tag. Aperently, (not trying to be offensive here) most of the problems the article has are apperent because of your edits. I'm not critizing you, but cut back on the fan-terms, try to explain things a little more clearly, try not to add too much information and cut back on the fair use images. Basically what I'm trying to say is to fix up your style of writing, please. (P.S.:The WP: links aren't just put up for the fun of it, ya know).

Another minor thing, you use alot of un-needed expressions in your writing. They may be useful in your mind but other readers might not understand them.--KojiDude 08:58, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you revertmy edit and call me a vandal? The games use their English dub names and in the dub Videl's crime fighting name was "Great Saiyaman 2". Don't vandalize pages by removing correct info. TJ Spyke 19:17, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kingdom Hearts 2[edit]

While your idea to update the template like that was a nice idea, however I had to remove it. In case you don't know because templates like that are programmed on another page so unfortunately your updates won't show up at all and another rule to that template is that if you were to rewrite the words to another part of the template such as the publisher(s) then that section would be deleted as well.

I just wanted to let you know so you could understand why I had to revert your edit. -Adv193 15:36, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thin Blue Line[edit]

I have reverted your revert of my edits on the Thin Blue Line page. Firstly, the episode info did not need to be as detailed as it was, secondly while reading through the info some of it was incorrect and I changed this. Your revert therefore added back incorrect info. Also, I didnt actually remove that much info, indeed I also added some (ie date of each episode). Secondly, the previous verstion containted a question at the end of practically every episode info, this is fine for a TV guide, but not for an an encyclopedia. Thirdly, your edit removed the infobox box and other edits I had made to tidy up. Next time if you are going to revert someone's whole edit can I suggest you add back the things you didnt want to revert and not wait for someone else to do it. --Berks105 14:50, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Gubernator[edit]

Dear sir, I believe it is important to mention that the governor of Californian, though born Austrian, is now an American citizen, else he could not hold high office in the US. Hence my qualification in his article. Would you please tell me why you felt it superfluous enough to remove? --Svartalf 20:38, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I see your point. What bothers me with simply calling him Austrian, however, is the fact that the phrase seems to imply he is a non naturalized immigrant. This is more significant as Germanic countries have a tradition of not allowing double nationalities, so I am not sure he still is an Austrian citizen. --Svartalf 17:07, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please use tags accurately. The above image does not seemt o be a screenshot: the ratio is wrong. Please take notice of the warning in the big red box on the uplaod page when it says "Images found on the internet should not be uploaded". The JPStalk to me 15:42, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your change to Arnold Schwarzenegger[edit]

Hi, I changed it back; the article was already correct. Arnold Schwarzenegger is an American citizen who was born in Austria, making him both "American" and "Austrian-born". -- Jim Douglas (talk) (contribs) 20:05, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I understand where you're coming from, but that's not how the term "xxx-born" is typically used. For example, see his Britannica entry, which says:

Arnold Schwarzenegger
born July 30, 1947, Thal bei Graz, Austria
in full Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger Austrian-born American bodybuilder, film actor, and politician.

The term "xxxxx-born American" almost always means "a naturalized American citizen who was born in country xxxxx." For a person born to American parents in another country, you would just say "American", and possibly note place of birth. -- Jim Douglas (talk) (contribs) 20:39, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I guess it depends what you mean when you say "Austrian". His background is Austrian; his childrens' background is half-Austrian. But he's American. Think of another example. If an actor is born in Toronto, then moves to Hollywood and eventually takes out American citizenship, he's no longer Canadian, he's a Canadian-born American. -- Jim Douglas (talk) (contribs) 20:48, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image:GSanders.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:GSanders.gif. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rossrs 23:17, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dragonball Wiki[edit]

  • Hi there. I noticed you're a member of Wikiproject Dragonball, and I'm trying to recruit some people from that to contribute to the Dragon Ball Wiki. It's in terrible shape right now with pretty much no consistency or policies, and only this week have I been able to get Angela and Sannse to create some Forums for us over there. I've got a proposed Manual of Style going over there and would like some people to contribute to that to set up some policies and start making the wiki bigger, better, and more intelligible/consistent. If you're interested, please hop on over or talk to me. Thanks for the time, whether you're interested or not. Wildyoda 02:27, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Stern.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Stern.jpg.

Thank you. PS2pcGAMER (talk) 19:49, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As per your query[edit]

You recently attacked me on the James Norrington and Cutler Beckett pages on the grounds that I am allegedly hogging the pages to myself. However, I assure you that this is not the case. I am simply trying to keep the page free of all violations of Wikipedia guidelines; not just vandalism, but also original research, speculation, and trivial details. On the James Norrington page, while the information you post is relevant to a degree, there is no real need for a blow-by-blow account of the swordfight between him, Turner and Sparrow, and the entire paragraph about him being a deckhand, as he does very little but brood in this time, can be condensed so the article does not appear overly long to viewers. As for the Cutler Beckett page, you again haranged me for removing your use of the word "greedy"; that is, however, a point-of-view description, and the guidelines stated that editors use a neutral poinbt of view while editing articles.

Please do not claim I am being selfish, I am only editing the pages in accordances with the guidelines. I ask you to please assume good faith in what I am doing. I have done likewise for you, and commend your dedication to your editing. But a bit more coherence to the guidelines would be appreciated. Thank you. Dac 22:30, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Hercule and Cell.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Fair use rationale for Image:Adam.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Adam.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 13:26, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

'Your' images tagged as having no rationale[edit]

ShakespeareFan00's tagging of your images was entirely valid- they are lacking in a fair use rationale as is required by our fair use policy. Also, please take a read of this. They are not 'your' images. Lastly, and most importantly, your personal attacks against ShakespeareFan00 are completely unacceptable- count this as your last warning- should you continue to be disruptive and offensive like that, I will block you. ShakespeareFan00 was acting in good faith, and was acting correctly on top of that. Attacking him/her was completely uncalled for. Stop, now. J Milburn 12:47, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I accept the apology, and I am sure ShakespeareFan00 will too- I understand that editing can get frustrating at times. I recommend, should you wish for the images to be kept, you provide a fair use rationale. Yes, I have the power to block users, I am an administrator. J Milburn 14:21, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Apology noted, You might want to see what other images have included, as this is a good way to develop a sense of what to put,

In general a fair use rationale, should explain why for a specific image in a specific article, an otherwise copyrighted image is being used. The rationale will need to indicate (for Wikipedia purposes) The image is not used in a profit making capacity, is of low quality and being used for academic purposes to illustrate a specific aspect of the topic, or the topic whose article it is used in. A fair use images MUST relate to the relevant article as opposed to being mere decoration BTW. Ask J_Milburn for more assistance with this if you need it. Titanic[edit]

I'm very sure Lovejoy is an Irishman. However, I will have to check the deleted scenes considering I recall that is where his nationality is stated. If I am incorrect, do accept my apology. Alientraveller 19:39, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Like I said, his nationality is stated in a deleted scene. Alientraveller 19:43, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm unsure of Youtube, but I will check the DVD. Besides, accents is an area of historical accuracy that doesn't matter, and in all honesty, Warner sounds Irish to me; he sounds a bit like Liam Neeson, and coincidentally, both have played Ra's al Ghul. Notability of Liam Tuohy (actor)[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Liam Tuohy (actor), by Nuttah68 (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Liam Tuohy (actor) seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Liam Tuohy (actor), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 08:42, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Buu and Gohan.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 05:46, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Gaston11.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Gaston11.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Papa November 23:01, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kazuya[edit]

Hi. I noticed you and a couple other users have been having a minor dispute since October on the Kazuya Mishima article. (IMO, Dopey edit disputes suck, even they don't violate 3RR.) Anyway, there's no biological or affinitive connection between Kazuya and Asuka. This may vary depending on culture or different lines of thinking, but impregnating Jun alone doesn't necessarily create a relational bond between Kazuya and the rest of the Kazama family. Trying to draw that connection is a very moot point and ultimately adds nothing to the article. (Please reply here if you have any response, since this is a dynamic IP) --75.0.151.104 (talk) 16:27, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I understand perfectly well what you're telling me, and I respect your opinion. But as far as I know, Kazuya is the father of Jin Kazama, so if Asuka Kazama is Jin's cousin, it would make Kazuya into a relative of the Kazama family, since Kazuya's blood is in Jin. Proposed deletion of Lucifer (Disney)[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Lucifer (Disney), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 01:54, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Valkyrie Crew.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Valkyrie Crew.gif. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Thanks for uploading File:Ra'sWatanabe.jpg.

Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:10, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem[edit]

Thanks for your uploads. You've indicated that the following images are being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why they meet Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page an image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --23:35, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Gaston[edit]

Hi, thanks for your attention to the Gaston page, however some of your recent edits need to be changed for the following reasons: 1. NPOV - you added some adjectives which are not found in the references. If you can provide references for a statement like "murderous" then you can add it in. 2. Avenant was killed by the beast so that needs to be changed back to how it was.

I've gone ahead and removed those changes for now, should you find those references please add them back in.

PS please archive your talk page, it is impossible to add a new section.

Hazelorb (talk) 19:46, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I reverted your most recent edits to Gaston for the following reasons:
  • The phrase is "is notable ... because of [a reason why he should be there]" - or in this case, "is notably absent... because of [the reason why he should be there]" - "is notably absent... despite [the reason he should be there]" doesn't logically make sense. It would be "is notably absent... despite [a reason he should NOT be there]". Consider "the student was notably absent, because he has perfect attendance" versus "the student was notably absent, despite having perfect attendance" - the 2nd doesn't make any sense! you would have to say "the student was absent, despite having had perfect attendance" or "the student was notably absent, despite their poor attendance record, because of their promise not to miss any more days of school"
  • The madman bit was 1. not cited and 2. irrelevant - the page is about Gaston, and should not contain a full plot summary. Please feel free to find a source and then add that information to the MAIN page about the FILM and not a CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY. :)
  • The bit about the character in Kingdom Hearts was also 1. not sourced and 2. irrelevant because the article is about Gaston not Kingdom Hearts
Please find sources for any information you add to this article in the future or I will consider it an edit war and initiate a dispute resolution. Adding non-sourced, NPOV, irrelevant information is not a big crowd pleaser here on Wikipedia. Your enthusiam is great but you need to source your material just like you were writing a school paper, nonsourced information will be removed immediately. Please take the time to read up on Wikipedia:Neutral point of view to understand why I am reverting your edits. The phrases "stupid" "madman" and "murderous" are obviously NOT neutral and would need a source.

Fair use rationale for File:Jokerseries1.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Jokerseries1.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. AfD nomination of Dorian Tyrell[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Dorian Tyrell. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dorian Tyrell (2nd nomination). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:25, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

BATB plot[edit]

Hi Jienum, I have a few comments about the plot summary for Beauty and the Beast. First, I fixed my own mistake about how Maurice got home from the castle. Second, I boiled down the language about Gaston when Maurice got home. Third, Gaston and the mob clearly said "Kill the Beast" many times, but I didn't hear anything about killing everyone. And fourth, I didn't see Lumiere leading the battle after his initial surprise attack. Mrs. Potts led one attack, and everyone helped. You seemed to want more emphasis on the battle, so I left that in. Have a nice day. —Codrdan (talk) 23:43, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Jienum! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 941 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

Please keep details out of summaries[edit]

Hi Jienum, this is a response to your edit of Beauty and the Beast (1991 film)#Plot. You're not making the plot summary better by adding more details to it. It's already 630 words long, which is well above the 550-word midpoint of the recommended range. The film isn't particularly long or complex, so the length should be closer to 500–600 words. Wikipedia:WikiProject Films/Style guidelines#Plot says "The plot summary is an overview ..., so avoid minutiae", and Wikipedia:How_to_write_a_plot_summary says "The objective of a summary ... is not ... to cover every detail", "A plot summary is not a recap", and "Do not attempt to recreate the emotional impact of the work". As for Lumiere, his role is mostly comedic, and he only led one part of the battle, not the whole thing. Please concentrate on making the summary more concise instead of more detailed, or even better, work on a film that doesn't have a summary yet. The plot summary of Beauty and the Beast doesn't need more detail. —Codrdan (talk) 17:28, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reviewer granted[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 05:44, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Xehanort[edit]

It's wonderful that you've decided to expand Xehanort from a redirect to an article. Well, it could be wonderful, but perhaps it isn't just yet. I added tags to the article to indicate some (but not all) of the following defects with the current version:

  1. It has too many non-free pictures, generally zero is good, one is tolerable, but more than one is not acceptable. See Wikipedia:Non-free content.
  2. It isn't written like an encyclopedia article. See Wikipedia:Writing about fiction for guidance on how to do this.
  3. It has no real references. See Wikipedia:Verifiability for the basic idea behind this. Compliance is non-negotiable and any unreferenced material - which is everything you have added - can be removed at any time.

Perhaps I could come up with other faults, given enough time, but these are enough to be going on with. Angus McLellan (Talk) 21:57, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, please see Talk:Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep#Voice actors. Discuss there instead of edit warring. If you revert once more, then you may be warned for the WP:3RR rule. Thanks, Blake (Talk·Edits) 22:38, 20 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The thing is, sourcing it wasn't a problem. We know those are the voice actors. But that sentence was just giving an example of some of the "big name stars" that were voicing the characters. It was not a cast list, and did not need everybody's name. While we could have included everybody, we didn't want to, because that was not the place for it. I hope you understand. Nomination of Dorian Tyrell and Niko (The Mask) for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the articles Dorian Tyrell and Niko (The Mask) are suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether they should be deleted.

The articles will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dorian Tyrell (3nd nomination) and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Niko (The Mask) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussions focus on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the articles during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion templates from the articles. Cheers, theFace 17:12, 9 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

On a related note: you may want to archive your talk page. It's getting pretty huge. How about creating User talk:Jienum/Archive 1 and /Archive 2, with 50 topics at each? Yours, theFace 17:18, 9 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Dorian Tyrell1.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Dorian Tyrell1.jpg.

File:Del2Robdal.jpg[edit]

I have tagged File:Del2Robdal.jpg as a disputed use of non-free media, because there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please clarify your fair use rationale on the image description page. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 18:03, 4 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Orestes Matacena has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not Notable. See Wikipedia:Notability#Self-promotion_and_indiscriminate_publicity. Hard-working actor, but nobody special. Also: No reliable sources.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Replaceable fair use File:JamesPatrickStuartPrettyWoman.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:JamesPatrickStuartPrettyWoman.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 17:51, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please avoid excessive detail and high word counts when editing plot summaries/synopses. You may read the plot summary edit guides to learn more about contributing constructively to plot summaries/synopses. There are also specific guidelines for films, musicals, television episodes, anime/manga, novels and non-fiction books. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 12:20, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for July 29[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Throw Momma from the Train, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Strangers on a Train (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

No more excessive plot material[edit]

Refrain from adding excessive plot material to the LGBT stereotypes article or any other Wikipedia article. This is per MOS:PLOT, WP:TVPLOT and WP:FILMPLOT. Excessive material about one show should be avoided regardless. So I made this edit. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 04:36, 10 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2019 election voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:07, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

June 2020[edit]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at O. J. Simpson murder case. Sundayclose (talk) 01:00, 15 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • How lucky for you that the majority of the sources are YouTube interviews that feature the people saying these exact things, such as Carl Douglas and the "OJ rule". But of course, these videos are considered "unreliable", just like the DNA evidence in the OJ murder case and the videos from the Rodney King beating case. Wikipedia really looks like a joke with people like you in control of it, so you might as well block me right now like the dictators you are, because at this rate, I'm not going to know what sources are considered reliable or not, and bullies like you will end up blocking me. Happy blocking, have a nice day, but just so you know, if you block me, I will report you for your unfairness. Jienum (talk) 21:17, 15 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
"Unfairness" is not a policy on Wikipedia. Making edits without sources is a policy. You had already gotten enough warnings to be blocked before the one I made. Report away, but you might want to read WP:BOOMERANG first. Additionally, watch your tone. Name calling can also result in a block, and faster than making unsourced edits. Sundayclose (talk) 23:26, 15 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well I could've used that information regarding unreliable sources long before being threatened with being blocked without being informed what was reliable and what was not as sources. The way you worded your warning looked no different than an abuse of power and authority instead of reasonable guiding, and I didn't appreciate it at all, and I still don't appreciate the "watch your tone" as if you're speaking to a child. Jienum (talk) 20:41, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't word the warning. It's an official template for Wikipedia. In fact, most of the many warnings you have received are official templates. OK, if you don't like the phrase "watch your tone", let's use another official policy from Wikipedia, WP:NPA: "Do not make personal attacks anywhere on Wikipedia. Comment on content, not on the contributor. Personal attacks harm the Wikipedia community and the collegial atmosphere needed to create a good encyclopedia. Derogatory comments about other editors may be removed by any editor. Repeated or egregious personal attacks may lead to sanctions including blocks or even bans". Sundayclose (talk) 21:32, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sundayclose, thank you. I was coming here to say the same thing in regard to a July edit, this one, which has the additional quality of being a BLP violation, failing to ascribe criticism of Judge Ito and thus doing so in Wikipedia's voice, as if it were a fact. Jienum, if you cannot separate fact from opinion, if you do not understand the BLP, if you cannot be bothered to properly footnote important and tendentious material, you will be blocked, and I'm already considering blocking you from the article itself. Sundayclose, I'd appreciate it if you also had another good look at the article, where I just removed a whole bunch of improperly verified, not-neutrally written, and possibly BLP-violating material. Drmies (talk) 15:21, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Drmies: Great minds think alike. :) I'll take a look when I have more time. It's not an article I know a lot about but I can sometimes spot the unsourced, biased, and BLP-problem material. Sundayclose (talk) 15:39, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Drmies and Sundayclose, don't you point me out as the only one adding unsourced, "fabricated" or "opinionated" information to that page. According to the page's history, you seem to have come to the conclusion that I essentially rewrote the entire page as an essay and went out of my way to make a fool of Lance Ito, and you make absolutely no mention of any other users who have been adding stuff. All I did was add material that I had gathered from O.J.: Made in America and I noticed that not all of it was removed. I sincerely hope that the users who went as far as to label specific participants as "dishonest" and who were offered bribes in the first place with no sources whatsoever have also received this same message and hopefully with a more severe warning, because if not, then just go ahead and block me, because with that logic, ALL of those other users should've been blocked for their content BEFORE I got this message. I'm only trying to help, I only put stuff that I've heard and seen and whenever I can find a source, I put it, but if Wikipedia would rather block me and leave the violators unpunished, then go ahead and do so, because I've got better things to do than try and contribute and be met with these warnings as if I've committed the crime of the century. Jienum (talk) 17:09, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

September 2020[edit]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Reaction to the verdict in the O. J. Simpson criminal trial. Sundayclose (talk) 18:52, 12 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What I put there last time was true, it was said in O.J.: Made in America. I'll put it back as soon as I find a valid source. Jienum (talk) 19:34, 12 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I just did. If its not valid, just take it off and let me know, no need to block me. Jienum (talk) 19:45, 12 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Not valid??? Neither the text nor the video in the source say anything about the judge or cameras. I'm not sure what you don't understand about sources. The sources are supposed to actually verify the content of your edit. This is either a complete failure to understand how Wikipedia's policies work, or it's intentional vandalism. I prefer not to insult your intelligence, so my conclusion is vandalism. Don't expect others to clean up behind you by checking the sources; check them before you make the edit. Next time there won't be a warning, just a block. Sundayclose (talk) 20:15, 12 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You do realise that by deciding that my edits are intentional vandalism instead of giving it a chance that its a misunderstanding or a mistake, you are actually and intentionally insulting me. This is either a complete lack of social empathy on your part or you are intentionally being condescending, and I don't appreciate either at all. It is clear to anyone who reads my edits that it is NOT deliberate vandalism, so choose your wording differently, stop abusing your position and instead look for the REAL vandals who should have been blocked LONG ago from editing in general. Jienum (talk) 20:34, 12 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You've edited for 14 years so I assumed that you understood policies. But if you prefer the explanation that you can't understand Wikipedia's policies rather than intentionally vandalizing, I'll accept that. But in that case you need a mentor before continuing to edit. Either way, your history of making unsourced edits is unacceptable. Sundayclose (talk) 20:47, 12 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Lenore E. Walker shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. References[edit]

Please format your references properly.[2]

A bare URL <ref>http://google.com</ref> is preferable to than a hidden URL <ref>[3]</ref>, because at least a bare URL stands a chance of a BOT or user tools being able to reformat it properly.

Better yet, use the tools available such as the built in Help:Edit_toolbar and the button labelled "Cite" which opens another toolbar with tools to help make it relatively easy to format a link using a Cite web Template. -- 109.76.146.100 (talk) 23:31, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Wallyfromdilbert. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Terminator: Dark Fate, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Your change was directly contradicted by the cited source.wallyfromdilbert (talk) 20:36, 16 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Reaction to the verdict in the O. J. Simpson criminal trial[edit]

I'll politely remind you again to be very careful not to assume something that is not explicitly stated in the sources. It is not stated in the source that Carrie Bess had a "personal belief that he was the murderer". You may read between the lines in your interpretation of the source, but your interpretation does not belong in the article. This is getting tiresome to have to revert this kind of edit. If you need to consider this a final warning to take this matter seriously, then please consider it the final warning. Sundayclose (talk) 17:03, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I just took her quote in a different source on the page, "Don't stay under the water if it's over your head, you'll drown" as an acknowledgement that she believed Simpson murdered Nicole but she also believed that it was Nicole's own fault because she stayed with Simpson too long or didn't move far away enough from him. That's her sourced quote in the dismissal of domestic violence portion of the page. Jienum (talk) 17:46, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You "took her quote ... as an acknowledgement". That is your personal interpretation, which is not allowed on Wikipedia. It is also a violation of WP:BLP, which is even more serious. There is nothing in the source explicitly stating that she had a "personal belief that he was the murderer". I'm not sure if there is some personal bias that is influencing your edits, and I don't want to make that assumption needlessly. But if it's not a personal bias, it's a problem with knowing how to understand what is written in sources. It has happened frequently enough that it's getting quite serious. And I'm not the only editor who has noticed and pointed it out to you. If you can't understand the difference between your personal interpretation of what's said in a source and what's actually said, you either need to stop editing BLPs or discuss your edits on the talk page before making them.Sundayclose (talk) 18:15, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Khomeini's Boys has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non notable documentary, nothing found in a WP:BEFORE to help it pass WP:NFILM. Tagged for notability since October 2019.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. February 2021[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Terminator: Dark Fate, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. The content you added [4] is not supported by either of the sources you cited and is actually directed contradicted by the Irish Times source, which calls the film's developments a "welcome software upgrade in the shadow of the MeToo movement". The National Review article also in no way says that John Connor's death is "merely a response to feminism and the #MeToo Movement as opposed to actual character and plot development". Please do not put in your own personal opinion into articles.wallyfromdilbert (talk) 09:26, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

And here is another unsourced edit. You have made so many problem edits on this article that you can consider this a final warning for making unsourced edits. You're headed for a second block. Sundayclose (talk) 22:15, 18 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You've set such a record for "final warnings" that I don't even pay attention to you anymore. If you really, actually truly cared about unsourced edits, you would go and remove every single unsourced sentence on that page and make it into your magnum opus instead of just stalking me like a predator. And by the way, I can always revert it and add the sources from the Violence Against Women Act page that show it was passed primarily by Clinton and Biden, but I know you'll just find an excuse to delete it, as you always do. I dare you. Jienum (talk) 22:21, 18 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the source and correcting the wording. I suggest not ignoring warnings. And again (as I cautioned you on my talk page a couple of months ago), stop making personalized comments and false accusations. Comment on content, not editors. Thanks. Sundayclose (talk) 22:39, 18 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

May 2021[edit]

Information icon Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Terminator: Dark Fate. Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use your sandbox. Thank you. – wallyfromdilbert (talk) 17:53, 12 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism threat?[edit]

Did you really mean to suggest with this edit that you would sooner vandalize an article than allow someone to make an edit you disagreed with based purely on their edit summary? You've been here long enough that I'm assuming you're familiar with WP:BRD and WP:CONSENSUS. I hope you were speaking in jest. DonIago (talk) 16:39, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Actually if you put it like that, it means your edit was vandalism in the first place, because you reverted it on the basis that it was "unsourced" when the ultimate source, the movie and its worded script, are out there for the whole world to see. Choose your words wisely and don't imply threats. Jienum (talk) 17:12, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've had nothing to do with it, so I'm not sure why you're assuming I am. I'm certainly not the one who threatened to remove the synopsis entirely, which would obviously be vandalism were it to occur. DonIago (talk) 17:33, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Whatever, I'll I'm doing is improving the article, and if its going to be dismissed as vandalism by users who haven't seen the film, I will carry on reverting it because I know I'm right, I've seen the film dozens of times, and like I said, if they keep vandalising it by removing the edits as "unsourced", I will remove the synopsis, because by their logic, it makes the entire synopsis unsourced. No picking and choosing. Jienum (talk) 17:36, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't believe anyone's called your edits thus far vandalism. If so, please provide a diff. Otherwise, your apparent willingness to edit-war rather than establish a consensus based on your words here is concerning; I'll hope it doesn't come to that. Good day. DonIago (talk) 17:43, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You referred to a possible deletion of the synopsis based on "unsourced" as vandalism, when that was why my edits were deleted, they were cited as unsourced by users who obviously haven't seen the film. By that logic, their reverting my edit constitutes vandalism. Jienum (talk) 18:00, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Have you said this to the others or just me? Jienum (talk) 18:24, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You have reverted content by three separate editors today on that article, and you were warned about your behavior on the article by a fourth editor in the section above. You are the only one edit warring, and no other editor has made more than one edit to that article today except for you. – wallyfromdilbert (talk) 18:28, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
So how does it work if they are reverting my edit with reasoning that contradicts the contents of the movie? One user said something about the scene which is untrue but I provided a source, but it was all still deleted. Don't their edits constitute vandalism? Jienum (talk) 18:43, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No, their edits were not vandalism. Although your account was created 14 years ago, you should read WP:VANDALISM if you still do not understand what "vandalism" means here. When you are reverted by multiple editors on an article, then you should use the talk page to discuss your proposed changes as explained in WP:BRD. Please also see WP:ONUS about the policy requiring consensus to restore disputed content, even if it is verifiable. – wallyfromdilbert (talk) 18:53, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well they haven't blindly reverted the edit again. I guess they looked the source up and saw they were wrong. Jienum (talk) 19:07, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of edit warring noticeboard discussion[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you so very, very much for being the most helpful, neutral, unbiased and fair administrator I have ever come across on Wikipedia. I learned a very valuable lesson today by seeing that Wikipedia is based more on personal bias and opinion instead of sources and truth. What a miserable joke the lot of you truly are. Jienum (talk) 22:13, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Jienum, if you meant to leave this response to me, I just wanted to let you know that I am not an administrator. I reverted your edit and reported you to the 3RRN, but you were blocked by someone else. – wallyfromdilbert (talk) 22:19, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Whatever, you reported and reverted me instead of trying to take a more neutral side in the dispute when you were perfectly aware that my edit is a good faith, non-vandalism one and that the other users escaped punishment because they took turns in reverting me for no reason instead of bringing their opinions to the talk page (obviously, they had none, they were reverting it for fun). I was the ONLY one who took notice and started the discussion when the others did not, and when they didn't answer, I put my edit back. That's not how it works. There was a dispute going on, and if they were not required to present their argument, then neither was I. I've already appealed against that unjust, despicable block by explaining the entire situation to whoever blocked me, and hopefully its someone less biased than you and those other vandals. Jienum, any more personal attacks against other editors, and I'll increase the length of your block.--Bbb23 (talk) 22:48, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
After what I've seen today, Bbb23, you can go ahead and block me for life, I couldn't care less. If that's your first response to my appeal against a one week block for the sake of two words in a movie synopsis based on what was in the script, if you truly aren't going to look into my appeal and instead go with something that other users put incorrectly, just give me a lifelong ban. Don't make it a temporary one. You'll be doing me a massive favour. I'd rather not edit here anymore if this is ultimately how good faith edits are rewarded, with reverts without explanations and then threats with excessively long blocks when one tries to argue their point as advised. A 48h block for taking it too far, maybe I could have accepted, but one whole week? No. This is something I will never forget. I'd rather be blocked for life than take this. June 2021[edit]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for edit warring and violating the three-revert rule, as you did at Titanic (1997 film). Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 22:00, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am appealing against this one week block purely based on the fact that I was adding a truthful, good faith edit to the Titanic page, yet other editors took it upon themselves to revert them with no reason other than it being "unsourced" when it was a correction based on the movie's finished screenplay, which another user denied by contradicting what was shown in the movie's scene. I was merely pointing out the hypocrisy of the other users' intentions, and as I was advised to, I brought the subject to the talk page to resolve the issue, and only one user responded. When the discussion was finished, none of the other users came to give their opinions and just reverted my edit again instead without arguing their point, so I did the same, because I thought it was extremely unjust for me to have to justify my edit when they did not, as if they have some sort of priority over me. I feel like I have been treated with extreme injustice and disrespect regarding this matter. Like I said, I provided proof of what I was editing, even though YouTube links are not valid, my intention was for them to see that what I was saying was correct, that it was not vandalism or messing around or reverting for the sake of it. The other users were the ones who seemed to be reverting for no reason, and it appears that they got away with violating the three revert rule because it was several users who took turns in reverting me either because they got it wrong or they were having fun. I demand that this be looked into again, because I am not happy whatsoever with the way Wikipedia has treated me today. I mean for God's sake, a seven day block for the sake of adding two words to a movie synopsis?? When did Wikipedia turn into a courtroom?? I'm being treated as if I've committed a serious crime that warrants seven years in prison. Throughout all my years as a user here, I have done nothing but my utmost to improve articles by providing truthful and valid information with reliable sources, and have accepted reverts when proper explanations have been provided, such as excessive information or if the actual sources are more rumours than fact. I sincerely hope that this appeal will not go ignored, because in my eyes, it would be the most dismissive option and would bring Wikipedia to an all-time low for the way it treats its users with bias and priority. Jienum (talk) 22:35, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You seem to be trying to justify your edit warring; being correct in your edits is not a defense to edit warring, as every edit warrior thinks their edits are correct. You didn't even let the discussion proceed more than an hour, let alone the few days that is often expected. Your disruptive threats also do not contribute to the collaborative environment that Wikipedia is. As you don't seem to think that you did anything wrong at all, there are no grounds to remove the block, and as such I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 22:57, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Terminator: Dark Fate[edit]

"Revert it one more time and I will report you for violating the three-revert-rule".

Excuse me, but what are you talking about? I'll admit that I had not checked the talk page prior to making the "direct sequel" edit, but I've only made this edit ONCE during my time on this article, and you are seriously going to tell me that after making it once, I'm going to have one more chance instead of two?

Are you sure I shouldn't report YOU for not being able to count how many times a user makes an unwarranted edit and trying to give punishments under requirements that haven't been met?

This is very rude behavior and I will not tolerate this. Zucat (talk)

First of all, no need to use that language, otherwise I will report you to an administrator for making rude comments on my talk page instead of being civil. Secondly, yes, I looked on the edit history and saw that it wasn't you who reverted it the first time. My bad, my apologies. But please watch your tongue, because I won't tolerate any rude behaviour from you either. Jienum (talk) 16:52, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Based on your previous talk page subjects, I would say you have quite the history of being rude and attacking others for simply deciding what's best for articles. Word of advice from one Wikipedia veteran to another: I would recommend you not fight the system that Wikipedia has set in stone for civil contributions editing. They're here for a reason and trying to fight it will not do you or anyone else any good. Thank you! Zucat (talk) 20:37, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think that was me, I seem to remember those were already there. Thanks for the tip anyway, though. Jienum (talk) 17:32, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What's the source for this edit? Maybe I missed something, but I hope you're not resuming your prior habit of making unsourced edits. Sundayclose (talk) 15:40, 23 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Everyone knows about the topless pictures of Marcia Clark, but I just put a source from Vanity Fair. Jienum (talk) 16:49, 24 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the citation, but consider this a final warning for adding unsourced content. I, for one, did not know. And the fact is, you don't know whether "everyone knows". The argument that is sometimes used for making unsourced edits "It's common knowledge" rarely holds water. If everyone already knows about it, it doesn't need to be in the article. With your edit history of repeatedly adding unsourced information (including a block for doing it) the rule for you needs to be everything must be sourced. Follow that rule and you won't get another block, not to mention that it will save the rest of us a lot of time from cleaning up behind you. A core policy, WP:V, states that everything that is challenged or likely to be challenged must be sourced. For simplicity's sake, you should simply assume that I (and others) will challenge your unsourced edits. Discuss on the article's talk page and wait for consensus before making an unsourced edit. Second blocks (actually third block considering your 3RR block) are usually much longer. Then after that there's a good chance that it will be an indefinite block. You may not believe this, but warnings are issued not only to protect Wikipedia, but also to protect you. But you have to actually heed the warnings in order to benefit from them. In the past you've wanted to argue about this, which accomplishes nothing and wastes time. I hope you will simply accept the warning and learn from it rather than being belligerent. Please don't start arguing; if you do we'll have to move this discussion to WP:ANI. You've made some improvements to the article and I appreciate that, but the burden created by your improper edits seriously diminishes that improvement. ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:13, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

OJ Verdict[edit]

Don't ignore others' edit summaries. Don't assume ownership. Read WP:BRD. When someone reverts your edit you don't revert back and tell them to go to the talk page. YOU get consensus on the talk page. And read WP:WEIGHT. Your edit was excessive. If you revert again it's edit warring. If a warning is necessary to get your attention, consider this a warning. Sundayclose (talk) 23:58, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

OK, once again, this is getting out of hand. Instead of being civil, you are bringing arguments to my talk page and making outrageous accusations against me for "assuming ownership" of an article when clearly you are doing EXACTLY that by still reverting the article instead of trying to contribute when I took the weight thing into consideration and tried to cut down on the paragraph. I am going to follow the rules by reverting the edit and reminding you that there is a talk page for us to discuss it there instead of edit warring. This is not the first time you've been accused or warned of this unacceptable conduct, and if you do this again, if you revert my edit and attack me on my talk page with these accusations instead of discussing it on the article's talk page to reach a consensus, I will report you to an administrator to see what they have to say about where you stand in this, especially when I have clearly made the effort to clean the article up and offer discussions while you have just reverted and made personal attacks. I hope I've made myself clear. Jienum (talk) 11:48, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

{{subst:uw-3rr|Reaction to the verdict in the O.J. Simpson Sundayclose (talk) 14:31, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Seriously, is that the best you can do? Instead of just simply discussing it in a civilised way, you try (and fail) to issue the same warning to me? Good luck with the administration's decision on whether or not to block you. Jienum (talk) 14:38, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked[edit]

I've indefinitely blocked you for edit-warring, abuse of noticeboards, personal attacks, POV editing, and adding unsourced or unreliably sourced material. You added very controversial material to Reaction to the verdict in the O. J. Simpson criminal trial, much of which was either unsourced or unreliably sourced, as well as being POV. You then edit-warred with another user about it, even though it was your burden to justify the addition of such material. You then attempted to shift the blame for your conduct to the other user by not discussing the dispute civilly on the article Talk page. You also filed a report at WP:AIV accusing the other user of vandalism, which was a patently frivolous report and constituted a personal attack. You also asked for (one assumes full) protection at WP:RFPP at the same time as you filed a malformed report at WP:ANEW, even though the other user had only reverted twice. See WP:GAB for your appeal rights.--Bbb23 (talk) 14:38, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Are you kidding me?? After all my years of contributing to wikipedia, all of a sudden, out of the blue, when you can see that I've been doing my best to add correct information and find as many reliable sources as possible and offer to take any disputes up on discussion pages, you just block me?? With no consideration for trying to reach a proper conclusion? Are you basically telling me that since I seemed to have a problem with another user and decided to take it up with administrators to try and get further advice, it has backfired on me and now I'm indefinitely blocked?? How the hell does this site work then?? Isn't there meant to be a kind of advice on how to use notice boards?? This was the first time I'd ever done this, so maybe I did it wrong. Can't I at least be told before having an indefinite block?? This is bordering on ridiculous now, and I'm going to appeal against it. Jienum (talk) 14:47, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Appeal against block[edit]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Jienum (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I see that I have been indefinitely blocked from editing Wikipedia without prior notice, and the reason seems to be because I was involved in an edit war with Sundayclose regarding the contents of the page about the reaction to the verdict in the OJ Simpson criminal trial. To put it shortly, I have had a history of expanding the article with new content, and at times Sundayclose would revert it and ask for a source, which I would then provide. Recently, however, I added a subsection regarding the American Crime Story series on the page, which also had its sources due to its relevance to the case and the people's reaction to the verdict, but Sundayclose started reverting it for no reason. I asked him to bring it up on the talk page so we could discuss what could be left in and out, but he then sent me a personal message on my talk page accusing me of assuming ownership of the article and saying it was my duty alone to bring it up on the talk page, which I did, but nobody answered. Because his actions did not sit well with me, and also because I saw on Sundayclose's talk page that he has a history of being accused of this kind of behaviour by other users, I reported him to administrators for further advice, and requested that the OJ Verdict page be protected for the time being. This was a huge step for me, since it was the first time I had ever done this, and I am not sure if I went about it the correct way, but mere hours after I brought the discussion up on the administrators page, the user Bbb23 just decided to end it by blocking me indefinitely without any discussion about the issue itself, and I saw that Sundayclose had not even received a warning for his behaviour. To me it felt as if the verdict had been reached before the trial had even started. I have been on Wikipedia for almost twenty years and have made countless contributions to the best of my ability, and I believe that to be met with this sort of reward over a little dispute which I believe I tried to resolve by following the rules is no short of disrespectful and unappreciative. This is why I am appealing against the block, and I hope that the outcome will be based purely on fairness and logic. Jienum (talk) 14:59, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

It's good that you wanted to discuss the matter on the talk page, but you don't get to edit war to preserve your preferred version while the discussion takes place. You also used an inappropriate source(the Daily Mail) which is specifically not considered a reliable source on Wikipedia. Filing frivolous vandalism reports is a personal attack. I think the block is a good block. To get unblocked, I might suggest that you agree to no longer edit about the OJ trial and find another, less contentious subject to edit. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 09:33, 26 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If I agree to no longer edit the OJ trial page (I think I've made my viewpoint clear enough anyway), will an unblock be taken into consideration? Jienum (talk) 20:30, 26 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Second appeal against block[edit]

Jienum (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I have been giving thought to my indefinite block which was imposed by Bbb23 4 days ago and have come to accept that some of my edits may have been on the aggressive or more personal side. With regards to my use of the warning boards against Sundayclose, like I said, I may have used them in an incorrect manner, because I genuinely believed that what he said about me assuming ownership on the OJ Verdict page on my talk page was a personal attack and I was not willing to stand for it, but yes, I may have taken it too far. As I stated before, I have been on Wikipedia for almost twenty years and done my utmost to improve quality, with no intention of vandalism, and to provide reliable sources for whatever I may add. OK, maybe the Daily Mail is not considered a reliable source, so I guess I should have paid more attention, but anything else I contributed to this page and many others, I've done my utmost to provide sources as is Wikipedia's policy. Recently my block was reviewed by 331dot and he declined my initial request, but he also pointed out the mistakes I made and which I have accepted, and suggested that I agree to refrain from trying to edit the OJ verdict page if I would like an unblock to be considered. This is why I am appealing once again, since this seems to be the only way to send a message through. I don't know if appeals usually take this long, but I don't want to feel as if I am being ignored. Jienum (talk) 14:59, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

Third and final appeal against block[edit]

Jienum (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

After almost two months of being blocked from editing Wikipedia, I've had time to reflect on my actions and have come to the conclusion that a number of my edits did not follow the order of first finding adequate sources and/or discussing them on talk pages, and may even have bordered on personal sentiments that led to edit warring. I still maintain that the use of the warning noticeboard was an innocent mistake because I believed a different user had violated the three-revert rule and gone unpunished, which I have since realised was a mistake on my part, and I never intended to get anyone blocked for no reason. Though I also maintain that most of my edits have been for the good of providing information for wikipedia users, I now believe that in the case of of the Reaction to the OJ Simpson verdict page, while all of my contributions were based on research, I did not manage to provide sufficient sources for every single one, and acknowledge that the Daily Mail was not an adequate source to cite the claims that had been made about Nicole Brown around the time of the FX series. By admitting to these mistakes, and also having been pointed out another edit that I made long ago on the page about the 1999 Tarzan film which was unsourced, I would like to offer my deepest and most sincere apologies to the wikipedia community, and am requesting a final appeal to my block so that I may have a chance to be a better user in the future. If I am turned down, then I will humbly accept it and leave for good. Jienum (talk) 14:59, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
