Welcome, I wanted to let you know that I have nominated the article for Viking Fusion for deletion. The article does not meet the WP:Notability guidelines. In order for an article to be included onto Wikipedia, it must meet these guidelines. If you would like to participate in the WP:AfD debate, please go to the articles deletion page [1] and voice your opinion as to why the article should not be deleted. Thank you for your efforts! --Canyouhearmenow 19:41, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You cannot add a source such as Wikipedia itself as a source. I would suggest that if you wanted to verify the Emmy award win, you might want to go to the academy's website and use a source from there. Wikipedia itself cannot be used as a source. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. This might be a bit more productive and less frustrating for you before all of your edits are reversed. Thank you --Canyouhearmenow 19:50, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have edited the issues mentioned above. I am also continuing to cite references to prove our notability. Jfett69 (talk) 20:16, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That is great and I suggest you continue to do so. I think where you are going to run into a notability issue is that you are going to have to give sources that are outside of the subjects own personal web page. You cannot rely on Facebook, Myspace or YouTube as a source of verification. The sources are going to have to be reliable third party sources. I am here to help you should you need it. --Canyouhearmenow 20:20, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

None of the sources supplied are Facebook, Myspace or YouTube. They are all reliable and substantial news sources. The Atlanta Journal Constitution, The Rome News-Tribune, The SE Regional Emmy website, the Rome News Wire, and one link from the actual Berry.edu page. All five sources are professional sources and easily verifiable. Let me know which ones of those listed currently that are questionable. Jfett69 (talk) 20:23, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am impressed with your passion for this article. However, as an experienced editor I think that what is goign to be ultimately suggested is that this article be merged into the Berry College article. In all honesty all of the articles that you have sourced, they have all refered back to the college and Viking Fusion being a program within its curriculum. I have seen this several times. However, there are times where I have been surprised as well. We will have to see how this one plays out. I have been defeated on other nominations and dont take it personally. But we must maintain a high standard. This is why I feel a merge would be a better solution. --Canyouhearmenow 20:32, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, due to our college's conservative and religious stance they will ultimately delete any section devoted to our organization. They did not feature us on their article before, and I am sure they would not now. Many student organizations and news publications conflict with their administrations, and ours is no different. Jfett69 (talk) 20:37, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

well with that being said, can you see how this kinda poses a problem for notability? The sources you have given are actually outlining the college and your organization as a program within them. Wow, this is a unique situation. I would like to see how the other editors are going to view this issue. --Canyouhearmenow 20:40, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Unique indeed. Berry is very concerned with its image. When Fusion does well, they will claim us, but when we are nosy, they try and shut us up. Because we are a private school we would have to and have had to listen to them if any issue of censorship arose, but it has not as of yet. Jfett69 (talk) 20:45, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
