I Am Looking for Meatclerk regarding Ohlone[edit]

Hi Jessem! I was just reading a message from Meatclerk to Goldenrowley last month regarding Ohlone Indians in Marin County. When I clicked Meatclerk/talk, I came to your page. Since I have also seen your name on Ohlone edits, I hope I am correct in guessing that you have two usernames.

I have three pertinent references regarding Ohlones in Marin County(Beeler 1972; Brown 1973; Milliken 1995:40-51, 244). Milliken analyzed the first two references, which were based on Costanoan words spoken to Spaniards of the ship San Carlos at Angel Island in 1775. Using other contextual information, Milliken argued that the local Huimens were Coast Miwoks who knew Costanoan (through intermarriage with the Richmond people). Regarding canon shots and Indian flight from San Francisco, the most accurate story is presented from primary sources by Milliken (1995:63-64).

If you are indeed Meatclerk, would you mind if I added this discussion and these citations somewhere on the Ohlone page? Middle Fork (talk) 23:59, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Meatclerk. I responded to your note over at my talk page, with a question, over there. Don't know if that gets flagged for you, see I also write this!Middle Fork (talk) 14:27, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

NowCommons: File:MenloParkTrainStation2.jpg[edit]

File:MenloParkTrainStation2.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:MenloParkTrainStation2.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:MenloParkTrainStation2.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 08:52, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reviewer granted[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 05:44, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 18:42, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
