Shortcuts

A shortcut is a redirect that assigns an abbreviated title to a page in Wikipedia's behind-the-scenes namespaces. This lets you get to a page with fewer keystrokes.

Shortcuts to pages in the Wikipedia namespace start with "WP:". For example, the shortcut to Wikipedia:Department directory is WP:DIR.

When a page has one or more shortcuts to it, those shortcuts should be displayed on that page using the shortcut template.

To add this auto-updating template to your user page, use {{totd}}

Deletion discussion about Tiberius Claudius Cleobulus[edit]

Hello, Jasgray04,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Tiberius Claudius Cleobulus should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tiberius Claudius Cleobulus .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

Ways to improve Publius Cornelius Maluginensis Scipio[edit]

Hi, I'm Boleyn. Jasgray04, thanks for creating Publius Cornelius Maluginensis Scipio!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please add your sources.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Boleyn (talk) 20:56, 11 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please respond to the above? Boleyn (talk) 19:55, 13 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You've continued to edit but not respond. Please see WP:Communication is required, WP:BURDEN and WP:V. Boleyn (talk) 20:51, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Jas, can you please respond? Again, WP:Communication is required, not optional. Please communicate. Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 07:39, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
There is the same issue with Scribonius (Bosporan usurper) and Gaius Sulpicius Galba (consul 5 BC). Boleyn (talk) 07:41, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sources and communication[edit]

You have ignored five messages, although communication when people raise concerns is a matter of WIkipedia policy, per WP:CONDUCT and WP:DISPUTE. If you continue to ignore messages, I will initiate a discussion at WP:ANI instead, but would rather just talk here. I'm trying to help - please just respond. May 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at Wikipedia:Teahouse, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:31, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for May 18[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Gayhurst, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chris Lilley (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:05, 18 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Gayhurst[edit]

The reason given for reverting your addition to Gayhurst was incorrect, as it was not vandalism. It should have been "per wp:TRIVIA". Finger trouble. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 20:19, 18 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not create hoaxes on Wikipedia, as you did at User:Jasgray04/sandbox. Doing so is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. If you would like to make test edits, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.  Bait30  Talk 2 me pls? 03:33, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Blackwattle Bay ferry service moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Blackwattle Bay ferry service, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page 2022 Tasmanian Legislative Council periodic election, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can (bot)&section=new report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 01:36, 6 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
