Syntax and punctuation (April 5)

Quotation marks are only needed in refnames when there's a space. DS (talk) 22:49, 5 April 2021 (UTC)

@DragonflySixtyseven: Can you please elaborate more? Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 22:51, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
You edited an article I wrote, adding quotation marks to refnames, such that (for instance) Verge became "Verge". This is not necessary: refnames work perfectly fine without quotation marks as long as there is no space: for instance, The Verge would need to be "The Verge" in order to work. DS (talk) 23:09, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
@DragonflySixtyseven: I see! I shall change that! Thank you for letting me know! Do you also want me to apply all the reference template for the rest of the references for you? Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 23:19, 5 April 2021 (UTC)

After you've read over the article, let me know if you still want to be adopted or not. Jack Reynolds (talk to me | email me) 15:05, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

This Is a Robbery: The World's Greatest Art Heist (April 8)

Hello, I would have appreciated notification before you moved the This Is a Robbery: The World's Greatest Art Heist article to draftspace. I was in the process of gathering sources when you interrupted me. In the future you should notify the initial creator of the article, or at the very least explain why you are moving the article to draft in the edit summary. Thank you, Thriley (talk) 03:03, 8 April 2021 (UTC)

Yes, JackReynoldsADogOwner, you always need to notify a page creator when you move an article from main space to draft space. Please do so in the future. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 03:05, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
@Thriley: Sorry for not notifying you. I will do better later on! And to @Liz: I sure will! I'm still getting use to the whole Wikipedia community! Thank you, both! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 13:26, 9 April 2021 (UTC)

Happy Birthday!

@CAPTAIN RAJU: Thank you so much for this! That just made my week! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 12:35, 19 April 2021 (UTC)

Quick draftifying

Hi, you recently put an article (Mounibaba) only 6 minutes after its creation to Draft, please notice that this is a) by far too quick (we usually have to wait per WP:NPP policy at least 10, better 15 minutes as an absolute minimum) and b) is this article not really a case for Wikipedia:Drafts, should be more sent to CSD. Thank you. CommanderWaterford (talk) 14:25, 21 April 2021 (UTC)

@CommanderWaterford: Thank you for that information! I will keep that in mind when I look over other newly created articles! Thanks again! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 14:28, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
No prob at all, if you have any further questions do not hesitate to ask. Happy Editing! CommanderWaterford (talk) 14:37, 21 April 2021 (UTC)

Please stop

I noticed you have made a plethora of good-faith yet very unproductive edits to my article Ivan Gorbunov (pilot) that do not comply with out Manual of Style. I checked your contributions and since you are clearly a newbie editor, I will not be filing vandalism complaints to request a block. Before going any further, please thoroughly read the Wikipedia:Manual of Style and conduct all test edits in your sandbox. Your enthusiam is appreciated, but please be more careful with your edits. If you need suggestions for editing ideas after you familiarize yourself with our formatting style, please do consider expanding an existing stub or creating a new needed article (I can suggest topics if needed) instead of making bizarre and undesired formatting changes.--PlanespotterA320 (talk) 16:46, 22 April 2021 (UTC)

Adopt me!

I want to be adopted. I've been editing for a month but I keep making mistakes. I only edit outer space related articles. There is a discussion about me at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents - Wikipedia. When you respond, please {{mention}} me. Starship SLS (formerly IP 64.121.103.144) (talk) 18:29, 28 April 2021 (UTC)

@StarshipSLS: I've replied back by proposing a new idea. If you need any further assistance, feel free to reply here. Jack Reynolds (talk to me | email me) 12:20, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
I have looked through the rules. Please adopt me! Starship SLS (formerly IP 64.121.103.144) (talk) 14:03, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
Now that you've adopted me, what happens now? How does this work? Starship SLS (formerly IP 64.121.103.144) (talk) 14:19, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
@StarshipSLS: I will post on your talk page about how me adopting you works. Jack Reynolds (talk to me | email me) 14:21, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

1st Question from Adoptee

1st question: @Soumya-8974 was blocked. He has edited many space articles and did a very god job on WikiProject Rocketry. How do I convince an adminstrator to unblock him. Also, I want to let you know that I am the new Project Coordinator for WikiProject Rocketry. Can you help me with making WikiProject Rocketry active again. It was inactive from November 2020 to this month when I revived it. I marked it as semi-active until more users start editing it again. Can you help me with it? Starship SLS (formerly IP 64.121.103.144) (talk) 15:14, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

@StarshipSLS: I respect and agree with the admin's decision for blocking him because of racism per Special:Permalink/999244891#Soumya-8974,_again. THAT is not okay to do in Wikipedia. Even though he did a good job on a WikiProject does not take away the fact that he was racist. Also, I will help you with WP:WikiProject Rocketry as best as I can. Jack Reynolds (talk to me | email me) 15:20, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
@JackReynoldsADogOwner I understand now why he should be blocked. Do you have any suggestions for WP:WikiProject Rocketry? Starship SLS (formerly IP 64.121.103.144) (talk) 15:30, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
@StarshipSLS: Not right at this moment. I've added the project onto my ToDO-List among others. I will get back to you if I have anything! Jack Reynolds (talk to me | email me) 15:33, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
Question: How can I get the project back to an active state? Starship SLS (formerly IP 64.121.103.144) (talk) 15:36, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

@StarshipSLS: I'm no expertise on reviving WikiProject. So, I've dug up two resources that are going to help you. Please direct to Back to Life: Reviving WikiProjects & WP:REVIVE. Hope this helps! Jack Reynolds (talk to me | email me) 15:42, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

Can more than one user adopt me at the same time? A few users such as Commander Waterford and VersaceSpace have expressed interest in adopting me.Starship SLS (formerly IP 64.121.103.144) (talk) 15:45, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
@StarshipSLS: Um... I don't see why not. If you want to be adopted by other users, feel free to post it on their talk pages as you did to mine. Give it a shot! The worst thing they could say is "No, I'm not interested in adopting you" — or something in that line. Jack Reynolds (talk to me | email me) 15:48, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
Commander Waterford plans to adopt me. Maybe, you and him could work together? What do you say? Starship SLS (formerly IP 64.121.103.144) (talk) 16:03, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
@StarshipSLS: I would very much agree to that idea. I'm awaiting his response on the admins noticeboard. I'll see what he response back and I'll take it from there. Jack Reynolds (talk to me | email me) 16:08, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
@VersaceSpace also plans to adopt me. Starship SLS (formerly IP 64.121.103.144) (talk) 16:12, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

@StarshipSLS: Um... the more the merrier! Jack Reynolds (talk to me | email me) 16:15, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

Hello! Please refer to me as he, to make communication between us better. Please reply so I acn know you read tgis message.Starship SLS (formerly IP 64.121.103.144) (talk) 16:34, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

@StarshipSLS: I see Commander Waterford has responded back! I'm glad that I can mentor you! And, from now on, I shall refer you as he!! Jack Reynolds (talk to me | email me) 17:25, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

@JackReynoldsADogOwnerI will be autoconfirmed tomorrow, what does that mean?

How do you make a personal to do list?

Good News: The discussion about me has ended!

Also, could you look at my draft which I submitted for review, Draft:Habitation and Logistics Outpost?

Starship SLS (formerly IP 64.121.103.144) (talk) 18:55, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

@StarshipSLS: When you're autoconfirmed, you can create pages, move them, can save books to the books namespace, and so much more. To get a further information, please direct to WP:CONFIRM.

To make a personal To-Do list, create a page with your username and after it, have "To-Do List" after. So, for your instance, it would be User:StarshipSLS/To-Do List. Also, I will take a look at your draft, but, I don't have the ability to accept it or deny it. That, you would have to contact CommanderWaterford (talk · contribs). He will be able to accept it or deny it. But, I will fix references and such that catches my eyes! Hope this helps! Jack Reynolds (talk to me | email me) 19:41, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

@JackReynoldsADogOwner Can you give me more detailed instructions about making to do lists? Starship SLS (formerly IP 64.121.103.144) (talk) 19:59, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
@StarshipSLS: A to-do list is for people that have a list of things that they should do — such as me. It is a template sort of that are attached on the user's page so it's the first thing they see. I see you started the page. To begin with, use * to make bullets and after the bullets, list the articles/job that you need to do. So, take mine for an example:

You should include the ones that are the most important to you at the top of the list. You can even list them by using #. So example:

  1. Consider Adopting Deplug1
  2. Look Over Director K, Mp3Bullet, & MAYA Awards Africa
  3. Guide StarshipSLS with Wikipedia
  4. Check-Up with FredModulars
  5. Help with WP:WikiProject Rocketry

To insert the to-do list on your page, just simple post:

{{Post-it small|list=To-Do List|label='To Do' list for StarshipSLS}}. Hope this helps! Jack Reynolds (talk to me | email me) 20:11, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

Article flagged as PR

Hello, it seems that you have flagged an article I wrote (Antennes Locales) as PR. However the article pertains to a company that is not even in existence anymore, and went out of business because of strategic issues and financial shortcomings that are mentioned within the article, as well as sourced. The amount of money that was lost is even mentioned. So I am a bit surprised that an article about a failed business venture would be tagged as PR. Is there some kind of arbitration that we could go to on this matter? Greetings. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Redacwiki (talkcontribs) 19:09, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

@Redacwiki: Yes, I see those that you listed. In my opinion, the article needs to have more sections than History. Are there news coverage of the company during the time it was up and not down? If so, please include them. Thanks! Jack Reynolds (talk to me | email me) 19:50, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

Another Question

@JackReynoldsADogOwner:How do I create a userbox? I submitted requests a few weeks ago, but no one does it. Can you teach me how to make my own? Starship SLS (formerly IP 64.121.103.144) (talk) 20:08, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

Note: @VersaceSpace is not planning to adopt me anymore. Also, there will be a rocket launch tomorrow! (I am a space enthusiast and I edit mostly space articles) Starship SLS (formerly IP 64.121.103.144) (talk) 20:10, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
More information about the launch at https://www.wenhop.com. Starship SLS (formerly IP 64.121.103.144) (talk) 20:11, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
@StarshipSLS: To create your own userbox, you'd have to create a page under your name, so... User:StarshipSLS/Userbox1. Then, follow {{Userbox}} steps. Jack Reynolds (talk to me | email me) 20:13, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
As being said @StarshipSLS - before further editing we urge you to read and follow the policies. Don't get me wrong - we are mentoring you but I for sure have no problems whatsoever for blocking or reporting/reverting you if you do not care at all what we suggest to you. CommanderWaterford (talk) 20:13, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
Yes, I am in the process of reading those policies. I have so far read The Five Pillars of Wikipedia. Starship SLS (formerly IP 64.121.103.144) (talk) 20:15, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
Good! I'm glad you've read about that! As mentioned before, we shall see. Jack Reynolds (talk to me | email me) 20:17, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

Thanks!

Sorry to be nosy, but I just wanted to say thank you for putting me in your step 4 of "Questions from Adoptee" section on this page. I got pinged and really appreciate you continuously checking up on me. You're a great adopter (I'd like to add that I'm going to become more active on Wikipedia soon) and thank you so much for the help and guidance you have provided since you adopted me. FredModulars (talk) 21:05, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

@FredModulars: First of all, I didn't mean to ping you. It was just for an example. But, thank you for the kind words! I'm glad that you're going to be more active! I can't wait to work with you! Jack Reynolds (talk to me | email me) 21:35, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

What do you mean?

@JackReynoldsADogOwner:What did you mean about date and time format on my AFC submission. Please explain. I also want to tell you that you are a great adopter. Maybe we can have a chat about Wikipedia's policies on Kiwi IRC and I can tell you what I learned. What do you think?Starship SLS (formerly IP 64.121.103.144) (talk) 23:22, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

@StarshipSLS: Thank you for the kind words. What I mean by the date and time format is that it should fit according to MOS:TIMEZONE. I'll just highlight what it says here:

Give dates and times appropriate to the time zone where an event took place. For example, the date of the attack on Pearl Harbor should be December 7, 1941 (Hawaii time/date). Give priority to the place at which the event had its most significant effects; for example, if a hacker in Monaco attacked a Pentagon computer in the US, use the time zone for the Pentagon, where the attack had its effect. In some cases, the best solution may be to add the date and time in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). For example:

     8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on January 15, 2001 (01:00 UTC, January 16)

Alternatively, include just the UTC offset:

     21:00 British Summer Time (UTC+1) on 27 July 2012

Since NASA is in America, then it should be Month Date, Year. If you need further explanation, direct to MOS:NUM & WP:DATESPROJ.

Also, I don't know what Kiwi IRC is nor what it's about. If you want a direct connect, feel free to email me. Jack Reynolds (talk to me | email me) 12:34, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
