WP:MOSTM[edit]

Hi! The reason I've been reverting you changing "Dream" to "DREAM" is because of the Wikipedia guideline at Wikipedia:Manual of Style (trademarks). Specifically:

Follow standard English text formatting and capitalization rules even if the trademark owner considers nonstandard formatting "official":
avoid: REALTOR®, TIME, KISS
instead, use: Realtor, Time, Kiss

Fair use rationale for File:Dream10.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Dream10.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Dream 11[edit]

If you look at the sources I put there both MMAJunkie and Dave Meltzer (two of the most reliable sources in the industry) both have stated that the Super Hulk Tournament will be finished in October. I believe its because its easier to get stars such as Gegard Mousasi onto one event instead of two.(Justinsane15 (talk) 21:40, 3 August 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Well we all know how trustworthy and reliable the DREAM promoters are... (ie. the Cro Cop fiasco). Where are you getting these quotes from by the way? I have read conflicting reports on whether or not the finals will take place on Dream 11 now, so agreed to keep off until its offical.(Justinsane15 (talk) 03:17, 7 August 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Dream 12[edit]

If you have any reliable sources, feel free to write a section on what Dream is planning for the event which also possibly mentions who is on the poster -- but the list as is it not OK. WP:CRYSTAL: "Wikipedia is not a collection of unverifiable speculation. [...] It is appropriate to report discussion and arguments about the prospects for success of future proposals and projects or whether some development will occur, if discussion is properly referenced. It is not appropriate for editors to insert their own opinions or analysis. In forward-looking articles about unreleased products, such as movies and games, take special care to avoid advertising and unverified claims" (emphasis mine). WP:RS has the breakdown, but for MMA we're basically talking Sherdog, MMAJunkie, MMAWeekly, Yahoo Sports, MMA Fanhouse, SI.com, Wrestling Observer, Kamipro, Sportsnavi etc. and blogs by people who are an "established expert on the topic of the article whose work in the relevant field has previously been published by reliable third-party publications" (i.e. people who have written for sites like the above) and naturally official websites etc. I like and read NoM as well, but it's sadly not usable here (besides, it only mentioned who they were looking at for the event and I think it should be presented as such, not in the form of "rumoured participants"). As for the Youtube-video: it's not published by a reliable source, so it's not usable -- and even if it were, it's the poster that is the issue: the people on it is just that, people on it -- and they should be presented as such, not as rumoured participants (even though to say people on the poster are probably participants isn't a particularly huge stretch, we should keep to facts: they appear on a poster, but nothing has been announced yet).

And that is the the major problem I have; the info should be presented accurately. The poster is a little sketchy since I couldn't find it on Dream's website (could potentially be fake etc., not that I think it is but Wikipedia is built on verifiability, not truth), but if it were we should write "these are the people appearing on it:" and not throw the names in a random list of "rumoured participants". If Sasahara says, "we're looking to have Sakuraba participate in this event", write that -- don't throw him in a list. While NoM is no good, it references a post on Dream's website which is perfectly acceptable so there's no problem mentioning just that. --aktsu ^(t / c) 17:58, 15 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
