Information icon Hello, I'm SNUGGUMS. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please read WP:WikiProject Albums/Sources (WP:ALBUMSOURCES) for a sense of what we should and should not use as sources within articles, and the "Unreliable sources" section (WP:ALBUMAVOID) in particular cautions against user-generated sites like Discogs or Wikia since pretty much anyone can insert anything into those sites without concern for accuracy. "A Star Is Born tracks" template - not needed?[edit]

Hey there, I noticed you recently created {{A Star Is Born tracks}} and linked to it using the tracks param of the infoboxes for articles on songs from the soundtrack. After looking at the documentation for {{Infobox song}}, I think this might actually be discouraged in this case, per Template:Infobox song § Track listing examples: An album track listing may be added to infobox song as long as the following criteria are met: 1) the article does not have a navbox in which the song appears; and.... Since there is an A Star is Born navbox with links to all the songs on the soundtrack, seems like the track listing shouldn't be used? Colin M (talk) 18:06, 12 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for August 29[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Free Woman (song), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Honey Dijon. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

German Radio[edit]

Hey! I see you’ve added German radio play to about 20 pages. Unfortunately, this is false. The source you are using, (example), only shows that the song was available for digital download/streaming that day. It does not mention radio play at all. Knowing this, please self-revert your edits. I know they were in good faith, but the information is false. If there’s a problem with self-reverting, please let me know. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 12:17, 26 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Doggy54321: I'm sorry, but "The 1" article uses the same page for contemporary hit radio release even though that text in the page doesn't strictly say it was released to radio, it just says it was released as a single. So that's why I made my edits, especially that some of them proving singles being released even earlier that article stated + I was "modernizing" the way tables were structured. infsai (dyskusja) 14:29, 26 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Just to add my opinion on this, but The 1 has an article in which is says that it was released as a single whereas you have just added the page in which it confirms The 1 was released as a digital single in Germany. I'm not saying The 1 is correct but I saying this is definitely not a source for radio releases. LOVI33 14:57, 26 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with LOVI33. As well, the source in question is irrelevant. If the other source given at The 1 was archived properly, you would see that the article specifically calls the song a single, something you haven’t provided for any of the additions you made. You only provided the link above, which doesn’t prove that the song was pushed to radio, only that it was released as a digital single. But, with "The 1", the song was released as a digital single as well as it got pushed to radio. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go archive that source. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 03:01, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Source in question: "the 1" – Taylor Swift veröffentlicht neue Single aus Rekord-Album "folklore" (transl. "The 1" - Taylor Swift releases new single from record album "folklore"), October 9, 2020. Published by Universal Music Germany (in German). Accessed January 27, 2021 I rest my case. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 03:09, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Prisoner[edit]

Hello Infsai. Regarding this edit you made on Prisoner (Miley Cyrus song), please be reminded that the proper formatting for multiple entries in Infobox song is a bulleted list, as per the template's documentation. Please do not convert it into other list templates. Also, you added a sentence in the lead, stating that the song "received critical praise for [its] '1980's feel' and [the] chemistry between both singers," without citing a reliable source, which is against WP:SYNTH. Thank you for your attention. Hayman30 (talk) 05:31, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Hayman30: Oh, you know, I just saw using Template:hlist in so many articles infoboxes that I thought it was correct to use it, sorry for that. But regarding what I added to main, it's just a summary of things can be read in Critical reception section, where you can find sources. infsai (dyskusja) 10:06, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the ping and reply. Please read WP:SYNTH. Combining different sources to reach a conclusion that is not explicitly stated or implied is considered original research, which should not be added to Wikipedia. The "summary" you added is not supported by any reliable source. Hayman30 (talk) 13:15, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Usage of {{Start date}}[edit]

Hey! Per Template:Start date#When not to use this template, it specifically states not to use the template outside microformat-emitting templates. Therefore, using it in release history tables (like [1]) is not appropriate. In the future, please leave dates as plain text. The only time I have come across them used appropriately is in the "|start_date=" parameter in an Infobox, but nowhere else. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 20:56, 9 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, okay. I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with most of Wikipedia guidlines of where to use specific templates. In the future I won't use it in tables then, thanks for notyfing! infsai (dyskusja) 20:58, 9 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No need to apologize, it was an honest mistake . Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 20:59, 9 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Replacing track listing templates[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you changed the track listing templates on several Ava Max song articles while expanding the release history section. While I appreciate your good faith editing, MOS:STYLEVAR states that there is no reason to replace any pre-existing style variations without forming a consensus on the talk page, since either template is acceptable. Track listing sections in articles such as "My Head & My Heart" now appear disjointed with the div col template intact, since the headings and track listing information are on separate columns. I will not revert your edits over this, but just giving you a heads up in case any other editors find your style changes to be disruptive. Thank you. — Angryjoe1111 (talk) 03:11, 10 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) @Angryjoe1111: Hey! While I agree with your comment about STYLEVAR, MOS:ALBUM#Style and form states In more complicated situations, a table or the {{Track listing}} template may be a better choice. In My Head & My Heart, the track listings were mostly single tracks, and that is definitely simple enough that a track listing-formatting choice other than {{Track listing}} would be the better option. Just wanted to let you know that. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 03:26, 10 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Angryjoe1111: I changed them since most articles uses simple way of showing tracklisting, rather than using {{Track listing}}. Plus I saw that many people were changing those templates into normal text, so I assumed that it's simply how it supposed to be. infsai (dyskusja) 07:42, 10 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
