How do I delete old versions of my user page?[edit]

This help request has been answered. If you need more help, please place a new {{help me}} request on this page followed by your questions, or contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page.

I've tried "undo" but it only makes MORE versions. I seriously regret having put my real birthday and place of birth, for data privacy reasons. Can we not delete old versions of our own profile?

thanks!! Ilyse Kazar (talk) 18:13, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Since it you wish to suppress your personal information administrative deletion won't do. It would need to be oversighted. Going into the page history, every edit made is saved into the history. Hitting undo is merely another edit for the system and gets saved as such. I will contact an oversighter for you and have them suppress the information regarding your birthday so the versions in your history containing your birthday will be inaccessible. In the future though, I will advise you to please be careful what you post and edit because as soon as you hit save, that edit will always remain, either current or as a past version. BTW, is your userpage at its current state the way you want people to see it because I can still see your birth year?—cyberpower ChatLimited Access 18:27, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
